Search for a signal on intermediate baryon systems formation in hadron-nuclear and nuclear-nuclear interactions at high energies
We have analyzed the behavior of different characteristics of hadron-nuclear
and nuclear-nuclear interactions as a function of centrality to get a signal on
the formation of intermediate baryon systems. We observed that the data
demonstrate the regime change and saturation. The angular distributions of slow
particles exhibit some structure in the above mentioned reactions at low
energy. We believe that the structure could be connected with the formation and
decay of the percolation cluster. With increasing the mass of colliding nuclei,
the structure starts to become weak and almost disappears ultimately. This
shows that the number of secondary internuclear interactions increases with
increasing the mass of the colliding nuclei. The latter could be a reason of
the disintegration of any intermediate formations as well as clusters, which
decrease their influence on the angular distribution of the emitted particles.Comment: 2 pages and one figur
The study of the lunar macro-figure models using multi-parametric harmonic analysis and expansion in spherical functions
© SGEM2017 All Rights Reserved. The present work is focusing on construction and analysis of 5 lunar models using space and ground observations. Firstly, it should be noted that the task of building a model of the lunar macro-figure relative to its center of mass and axes of inertia does not have a definitive solution yet. Within the present work the models of the lunar macro-figure are developed on the basis of space and ground observations. The methods of observation had implied binding of lunar objects to stars, i.e. celestial coordinate system. As observations of that kind the data from “Clementine”, “Kaguya”, “LRO” space missions, and large-scale photographs of the Moon with stars were used. 5 models were constructed using the software “Automatic System of Scientific Investigation” (ASSI). Based on the results of the work the following conclusions are drawn after the analysis of the constructed models’ cross-sections for longitudes λ = -40°, -20°, 0°, 20°, 40°: 1) The mean level of the lunar southern hemisphere is higher than the northern one; 2) The lowering for northern latitudes in the range of 30° - 45° according to the ground observations is of the same order as based on the data from the space missions. Then, however, altitudes taken from the ground observations are starting to increase up to latitudes of 70° - 80°. This leads to significant difference between the shapes of hypsometric curves. 3) The good convergence between cross-sections of the models constructed on the basis of “Clementine” space mission and “KSC-1162” (Kazan Selenocentric Catalogue) is achieved. 4) The results of comparing the relief of the lunar surface based on ground and space images of the Moon and ALSEP system are following: a) Differences in absolute values of altitude for the near northern side of the Moon in the given systems are systematic. In this regard an alternative hypothesis concerning the shape of physical surface of the near side of the Moon has been proposed; b) The results of the analysis of ALSEP experiment data do not reject the proposed new hypothesis about relief lowering of the lunar surface to the North of the parallel + 10 ° relative to the generally accepted level; c) The analysis of space missions data with elements of a spacecraft external orienteering confirms the relief lowering of the lunar surface up to 1,5 km in the area of -70° < λ < -30°, -10° < ψ < -63° relative to the generally accepted level

Ovarian reserve in women with obesity
BACKGROUND: One of the consequences of obesity for the female body is a decrease in fertility. It is shown that impaired reproductive function in obese patients can be associated, in particular, with a decrease in ovarian reserve. AIMS: To evaluate the ovarian reserve function in female patients of reproductive age with different classes of obesity in comparison with women without obesity. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This study evaluated 320 caucasian women, age 20-30 years, without obesity (BMI<30, n=80) and with obesity WHO class I-III (n=80 per class). Anthropometrics, serum concentrations of anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), inhibin B, follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone were compared on the 2-3 day of menstrual cycle as ovarian volume and antral follicle count (AFC). RESULTS: We reveal statistically significant difference in following parameters in normal BMI women in comparison with obesity women: AMH, testosterone, ovarian volume and AFC. Moreover, we reveal significant difference between patients with different WHO class of obesity. But even in class III obesity parameters remained within reference ranges. CONCLUSIONS: Ovarian reserve function parameters progressively decrease with increase of obesity class in subjects, but ovarian reserve parameters were in normal reference range even in class III obese patients. Further large randomized multicenter studies are required to find influence of obesity in relation to ethnicity and other factors to ovarian reserve function
Exposure of Nuclear Track Emulsion to a Mixed Beam of Relativistic N, C, and Be Nuclei
A nuclear track emulsion was exposed to a mixed beam of relativistic
N, C, and Be nuclei having a momentum of 2 GeV/ per
nucleon. The beam was formed upon charge exchange processes involving C
primary nuclei and their fragmentation. An analysis indicates that C
nuclei are dominant in the beam and that N nuclei are present in it. The
charge topology of relativistic fragments in the coherent dissociation of these
nuclei is presented.Comment: ISSN 1063-7788, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 201
Radial localization of electron temperature pedestal and ELM-like events using ECE measurements at Wendelstein 7-X
A magnetic configuration scan was performed at Wendelstein 7-X stellarator by varying the rotational transform to analyze the plasma confinement for magnetic configurations with different edge magnetic island locations and sizes. For the magnetic configurations, where the 5/5 island chain was moved inside the last closed flux surface, it was observed with electron cyclotron emission measurements that an electron temperature,
Te, pedestal develops in the plasma buildup phase and followed by the edge localized mode (ELM)-like crashes. From the mapping of the island to the plasma radius from HINT equilibrium, it was found that the Te pedestal is formed at the island location on the high field side of the plasma. The ELM-like crashes occur at the location of the pedestal and the transport barrier is broken typically with an energy loss of 3-4% during a
single ELM-like event. The frequency and the amplitude of the ELM-like crashes were observed to be changing with island size, plasma heating power and density. Additionally during the plasma decay, after the heating was switched-off, a transition to degraded plasma confinement state was observed with changed Te profile gradients,
faster decay rate of diamagnetic energy, and increased H-alpha levels
Feasibility of study magnetic proximity effects in bilayer "superconductor/ferromagnet" using waveguide-enhanced Polarized Neutron Reflectometry
A resonant enhancement of the neutron standing waves is proposed to use in
order to increase the magnetic neutron scattering from a
"superconductor/ferromagnet"(S/F) bilayer. The model calculations show that
usage of this effect allows to increase the magnetic scattering intensity by
factor of hundreds. Aspects related to the growth procedure (order of
deposition, roughness of the layers etc) as well as experimental conditions
(resolution, polarization of the neutron beam, background etc) are also
discussed.
Collected experimental data for the S/F heterostructure
Cu(32nm)/V(40nm)/Fe(1nm)/MgO confirmed the presence of a resonant 60-fold
amplification of the magnetic scattering.Comment: The manuscript of the article submitted to Crysstalography Reports.
