    Building futsal court need some planning, especially about the materials needed to build a futsal court such as synthetic grass, roofs, walls, benches, and some other materials. Each of materials have many choices usually based on quality and price. Thus it needs a system to assist on calculating the optimum materials combination based on a specified budget. Minimax Route method are used with dynamic programming techniques to maximize the quality of materials while minimizing the price of materials chosen. Based on system testing conducted to futsal court owners in Yogyakarta, the implementation are helpful and have many useful information for someone who want to build futsal court

    Relationships among Members of the Genus Myxobolus (Myxozoa: Bilvalvidae) Based on Small Subunit Ribosomal DNA Sequences

    Sequences representing similar to 1,700 base pairs of the 18S rRNA gene from 10 different species in the genus Myxobulus were found to group them into 3 clusters that showed little correlation with spore morphology and size or host specificity, criteria currently used for both higher and lower taxonomic placements in the Myxozoa. Of the phenotypic criteria examined, tissue tropism was most correlated with the rRNA groupings observed. Spores of similar size and shape (Myxobolus cerebralis vs. Myxobolus squamalis) were distantly related in some instances, whereas spores with divergent morphology and size were some times found to be closely related (M. cerebralis and Myxobolus insidiosus). These initial investigations into the phylogenetic relationships of putative members of the genus Myxobolus clearly indicate the potential limitations of groupings based on size and morphological properties of the spores and host species infected. We propose that 18S rRNA gene sequences, combined with information on tissue tropism, host species infected, and developmental cycles in the fish and alternate host (when and if known) be given greater consideration in taxonomic placements of myxosporeans

    Rare and common epilepsies converge on a shared gene regulatory network providing opportunities for novel antiepileptic drug discovery

    Background The relationship between monogenic and polygenic forms of epilepsy is poorly understood, and the extent to which the genetic and acquired epilepsies share common pathways is unclear. Here, we use an integrated systems-level analysis of brain gene expression data to identify molecular networks disrupted in epilepsy. Results We identify a co-expression network of 320 genes (M30), which is significantly enriched for non-synonymous de novo mutations ascertained from patients with monogenic epilepsy, and for common variants associated with polygenic epilepsy. The genes in M30 network are expressed widely in the human brain under tight developmental control, and encode physically interacting proteins involved in synaptic processes. The most highly connected proteins within M30 network are preferentially disrupted by deleterious de novo mutations for monogenic epilepsy, in line with the centrality-lethality hypothesis. Analysis of M30 expression revealed consistent down-regulation in the epileptic brain in heterogeneous forms of epilepsy including human temporal lobe epilepsy, a mouse model of acquired temporal lobe epilepsy, and a mouse model of monogenic Dravet (SCN1A) disease. These results suggest functional disruption of M30 via gene mutation or altered expression as a convergent mechanism regulating susceptibility to epilepsy broadly. Using the large collection of drug-induced gene expression data from Connectivity Map, several drugs were predicted to preferentially restore the down-regulation of M30 in epilepsy toward health, most notably valproic acid, whose effect on M30 expression was replicated in neurons. Conclusions Taken together, our results suggest targeting the expression of M30 as a potential new therapeutic strategy in epilepsy

    PT Maju Bersama Persada Dayamu merupakan salah satu perusahaan pada bidang manufaktur. Proses produksi merupakan proses penting dalam bidang manufaktur. Sistem informasi persediaan bahan baku dapat membantu proses produksi berjalan dengan baik. Tujuan dari penelitian dan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah mengembangan sistem informasi persediaan bahan baku untuk membantu menyelesaikan kendala penyediaan bahan baku PT Maju Bersama Persada Dayamu saat ini yang masih bersifat manual dengan menggunakan Microsoft Excel dan kartu bahan baku. Hal ini mengakibatkan data-data tidak terintegrasi pada semua departemen, sehingga informasi ketersediaan dan pengelolaan bahan baku belum sepenuhnya akurat. Sistem ini dikembangkan menggunakan metode prototyping, bahasa pemrograman PHP dan framework CodeIgniter. Pemodelan sistem dibuat menggunakan notasi UML. Selain mengembnagkan sistem, pengujian dan pelatihan penggunaan sistem juga dilakukan untuk memastikan sistem yang dihasilkan sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan membantu efektivitas proses persediaan barang PT Maju Bersama Persada Dayamu

    Nosocomial Clostridium Difficile Diarrhea in Patient with Malignancy

    Clostridium difficile (C. difficile) is the main pathogen causing antibiotics associated diarrhea and colitis. This bacterium increases with hospitalization with incidence of 20-60 cases per 100,000 patients/day. C. difficile is gram positive bacilli which produce toxins in 2,700 cases in every 100,000 exposures to particular antibiotics, such as clindamycin, cephalosporin, and ampicillin. These antibiotics disrupt the intestinal normal flora and predispose to colonization of C. difficile. This case described a 53-year old male patient with squamous cell carcinoma in his left ear who came to Department of Internal Medicine, Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, with the complain of diarrhea since two weeks after one month hospitalization in Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat. The characteristics of the diarrhea were 10 times per day ± 100 mL, watery consistency, green yellowish in color, and no blood in the feces. Additionally, the patient also complained of pain in all parts of his stomach, especially in the epigastric area. Earlier, patient was given ceftazidime for 30 days of hospitalization. The serology examination of C. difficile in the feces showed positive result (titer = 0.790 and control = 0.190). During the colonoscopy examination, pancolitis was found and the pathologic anatomy result was found appropriate for infective colitis. Thereafter, antibiotic administration was ceased and metronidazole was administered intravenously three times a day. The diarrhea stopped after seven days and the patient was discharged

    Optimization of an Alkylpolyglucoside-Based Dishwashing Detergent Formulation.

    The aim of this work was to formulate and optimize the washing performance of an alkylpolyglucoside-based dishwashing detergent. The liquid detergent was formulated with five ingredients of commercial origin: anionic (linear sodium alkylbenzenesulfonate and sodium laurylethersulfate), nonionic (C12–C14 alkylpolyglucoside) and zwitterionic (a fatty acid amide derivative with a betaine structure) surfactants, and NaCl for viscosity control. In addition to the plate test, other properties were investigated including ‘‘cloud point’’, viscosity, and emulsion stability. Statistical analysis software was used to generate a central composite experimental design. Then, a second order design and analysis of experiments approach, known as the Response Surface Methodology, was set up to investigate the effects of the five components of the formulation on the studied properties in the region covering plausible component ranges. The method proved to be efficient for locating the domains of concentrations where the desired properties were met
