Para comenzar a paliar la falta de un estudio sistemático de las numerosas traducciones de Don Quijote, este trabajo compara traducciones de un famoso pasaje de la Segunda parte (un párrafo de la descripción que de sí mismo hace don Diego de Miranda, el Caballero del Verde Gabán) con el fin de arrojar luz sobre las motivaciones de los diferentes traductores. To aid in remedying the lack of a systematic study of Don Quijote’s numerous translations, this paper compares translations of a famous passage from the second part of Don Quijote (a paragraph in which don Diego de Miranda, the Knight of the Green Coat, describes himself) with the aim of casting light on the different translator’s motivations

Probabilistic Guarded P Systems, A New Formal Modelling Framework

Multienvironment P systems constitute a general, formal framework for modelling the dynamics of population biology, which consists of two main approaches: stochastic and probabilistic. The framework has been successfully used to model biologic systems at both micro (e.g. bacteria colony) and macro (e.g. real ecosystems) levels, respectively. In this paper, we extend the general framework in order to include a new case study related to P. Oleracea species. The extension is made by a new variant within the probabilistic approach, called Probabilistic Guarded P systems (in short, PGP systems). Behaviour and evolution of quartzites in detrital accumulations

[Resumen] La presente nota trata de los caracteres y del proceso evolutivo que ofrecen las cuarcitas areniscosas en depósitos detríticos localizados en cuencas-vertientes fluviales y en acumulaciones playeras. La abundancia de este tipo de material en formaciones actuales y antiguas de los valles del Moucide, Xunco y Cabo, desde Cangas de Foz a San Cibrán (Norte de Lugo), ha permitido un estudio estadístico, en términos de actividad morfogenética y textura de los diferentes grupos dimensionales. Ofreciéndose, asimismo, un diagrama-resumen del comportamiento de este material en los diferentes tipos de depósitos.[Abstract] This paper deals with the characteristics and evolution process of quartzites (low Candena quartzites) from detrital deposits of fluvial basics and beach acumulations.The present and past sedimentary formations from Moucide, Xunco and Cobo basics (nord of Lugo, Spain) from Cangas de Foz to San Cibrián are plenty in this. Condiciones hidrodinámicas y de sedimentación en el estuario del Eo (límite galaico-astur)

[Resumen] La variabilidad en las condiciones de sedimentación, en el aspecto morfológico y en las características hidrodinámicas que ofrecen los diferen tes parajes de la Ría de Ribadeo, obligan a considerar como unidad independiente y con rasgos peculiares :propios el Estuario del Eo"; se trata de un amplio espacio donde coinciden los procesos continentales y de la red fluvial, con el juego de mareas; la asociación de ambos conjuntos morfogenéticos se traduce en accionamientos de fuertes contrastes entre las zonas marginales y centrales del estuario, muy particularmente en cuanto se refiere a los materiales que rellenan estos parajes. Como conclusión general hay que destacar que las condiciones de formación de los depósitos en cada uno de los conjuntos sedimentarios estudiados ~próximos a la costa, bancos de arena, etc.- son muy variables, no s610 independientemente sino también entre sí.[Abstract] The variability in the conditions of sedimentation, in its morfological aspect and in its hydrodinamic characteristics which the different zones of the Ría of Ribadeo offer, oblige us to consider as an independant unit and with its own peculiar features the Eo Estuary. It deals about a wide range where the continental processes and the river system coincide with the tide. The relation of both, morfogenetic joints is expressed in strong working contrasts between the marginal and central zones of the estuary, and in particular when referred to the materials that fill up these sites. As a general conclusion, we have to emphasize that the conditions in the formation of the deposits in each of the sedimentary joints studied –near the shores, the banks, etc.- are very changeable, not only independently, but also among themselves

Nuevas aportaciones al periglaciarismo galaico-astur

[Resumen] La presente comunicación es una síntesis bibliográfica de las observaciones periglaciares en zonas próximas al limite galaico-astur y consideradas por diferentes auto res. Como nueva contribución se señala la existencia de un conjunto de formas y acumulaciones sedimentarias como consecuencia del ¿iclo hielo-deshielo, con fenómenos de gelivación, solifluxión, materiales detríticos ordenados y crioturbaciones, que han tenido su influencia en la morfologia del relieve. A new test procedure of independence in copula models via chi-square-divergence

We introduce a new test procedure of independence in the framework of parametric copulas with unknown marginals. The method is based essentially on the dual representation of $\chi^2$-divergence on signed finite measures. The asymptotic properties of the proposed estimate and the test statistic are studied under the null and alternative hypotheses, with simple and standard limit distributions both when the parameter is an interior point or not.Comment: 23 pages (2 figures). Coluvionary and torrential deposits of the northoriental sector of Lugo (Galicia)

[Resumen] En esta comunicación se estudian algunas formaciones detríticas del sector nororiental de Lugo (Galicia). Estos depósitos representan acumulaciones coluviales de vertientes y torrenciales de fondo de valle; desde el punto de vista litológico están constituidos por bloques y cantos de cuarcitas y pizarras con algunos cuarzos procedentes de materiales paleozoicos. La génesis de estas formaciones es compleja, pudiendo relacionarse tanto con procesos paleoclimáticos (periglaciares) como con antiguos mecanismos estructurales (tectónicos y litológicos).[Abstract] Sorne detritic formations of the northoriental sector of Lugo are studied in this reporto These deposits represent coluvionary acumulations of slopes and torrentials from the valley bottom, from the lithological point of view, these deposits are constituted by blocks and pebbles of quarzites and slates, with sorne quartzs coming from paleozoic materials. The genesis of these formations is complex one, and it can be connected with paleoclimatic proceses (periglacial) as well as old structural mechanisms (tectonic and lithological)
