Memory and mutualism in species sustainability: a time-fractional Lotka-Volterra model with harvesting
We first present a predator-prey model for two species and then extend the
model to three species where the two predator species engage in mutualistic
predation. Constant effort harvesting and the impact of by-catch issue are also
incorporated. Necessary sufficient conditions for the existence and stability
of positive equilibrium points are examined. It is shown that harvesting is
sustainable, and the memory concept of the fractional derivative damps out
oscillations in the population numbers so that the system as a whole settles on
an equilibrium quicker than it would with integer time derivatives. Finally,
some possible physical explanations are given for the obtained results. It is
shown that the stability requires the memory concept in the model
Efficient deep CNNs for cross-modal automated computer vision under time and space constraints
We present an automated computer vision architecture to handle video and image data using the same backbone networks. We show empirical results that lead us to adopt MOBILENETV2 as this backbone architecture. The paper demonstrates that neural architectures are transferable from images to videos through suitable preprocessing and temporal information fusion
The influence of Sufism on Eric–Emmanuel Schmitt’s work
This paper attempts to investigate Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt(1960- ), as a Western dramatist and mystical writer of Eastern traditions through a detailed, qualitative and critical analysis of one of his most important work, Monsieur Ibrahim and the Flowers of Quran . In the play , Sufi framework and Archetypal Theory is used to present plainly and briefly the main concepts of mysticism and, at the same time, to situate mysticism within the play. Here, the author finds that the title character takes on the role of a Sufi master, initiating the protagonist, Moses, into the way of the Sufi and to eventually become his successor. The author concludes that Schmitt is indeed influenced by the master and disciple relationship in the initiation and journey of Sufism. Keywords: Modern drama, Emmanuel Schmitt, Sufism, Theater, play, Monsieur Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Qur’a
Effet de la conception sur les demandes d’eseignement de l’anglais des étudiantes iraniens
The Research into interlanguage pragmatics has prominent
significance nowadays. Due to severe
negative consequences of failure in performing and interpreting speech acts
such as request, the present study investigated the effect of concept mapping
on learning English requests by Iranian
high school students. To this aim, 72
intermediate male English students
(ranging in age from 15 to 18) that were
in two intact groups from a city in
northeastern Iran, voluntarily took part
in the study. Data for this study were
collected using English Test- Beginner
(proficiency test) and Multiple Discourse Completion Task Test (MDCT).
The results indicated there was a statistically significant difference between
the request speech act knowledge of
those learners who were taught requests through concept mapping and
those who were taught traditionally.
The results of the current study have
important implications for syllabus designers and material developers particularly in EFL contexts.

The usability analysis for the use of augmented reality and visual instructions in navigation services
The use of Augmented Reality and visual cues as a part of navigational instructions, in addition to conventional audio and textual instructions, may improve the experience of the users of the navigation services. This approach can be also more compatible with the way people give instructions in everyday life; People usually associate directions with visual cues (e.g. “turn right at the square”) when giving navigational instructions in their daily conversations. In this regard, landmarks as the unique and easy-to-recognise features can play an important role. Such easy to remember features, which are available both indoors and outdoors, can be helpful when exploring an unfamiliar environment. A Landmark-based navigation service can make users sure that they are on the correct route, as the user is reassured by seeing the landmark whose information/picture has just been provided as a part of navigational instruction. Such advantages of use of landmarks visual information as a part of the instructions can decrease the time of travel and improve the experiences of the users. This paper assesses how landmarks can improve the performance of pedestrian movements following landmark-based navigational instructions
Predictive analytics for enhancing travel time estimation in navigation apps of Apple, Google, and Microsoft
The explosive growth of the location-enabled devices coupled with the increasing use of Internet services has led to an increasing awareness of the importance and usage of geospatial information in many applications. The mobile navigation apps (often called “Maps”), use a variety of available data sources to calculate and predict the travel time for different modes. This paper evaluates the pedestrian mode of Maps apps in three major smartphone operating systems (Android, iOS and Windows Phone). We will demonstrate that the Maps apps on iOS, Android and Windows Phone in pedestrian mode, predict travel time without learning from the individual’s movement profile. Then, we will exemplify that those apps suffer from a specific data quality issue (the absence of information about location and type of pedestrian crossings). Finally, we will illustrate learning from movement profile of individuals using predictive analytics models to improve the accuracy of travel time estimation for each user (personalization)
Exact Reliability for Consecutive k-out-of-r-from-n: F System with Equal and Unequal Components Probabilities
A consecutive k-out-of-r-from-n: F system consists of n linear ordered components such that the system fails if and only if there exist a set of r consecutive linear component that contains at least k failed components. Consecutive k-out-of-r-from-n: F system has been considered in many fields such as reliability analysis. All recent efforts in this area have been focused on acquiring band or approximation for their reliability such that less attention has been paid to their closed form and exact reliability in the literature. In the present paper, with designing an innovative algorithm the exact reliability for extensive class of consecutive k-out-of-r-from-n: F system is obtained. Specially this task for equal and unequal components probabilities is done. Finally, the numerical results for calculating the exact reliability in extensive class of this strategic systems were applied

The aim of this research was to know the food security of farmer household, based on the availibility of staple food, access to food and utilization of food of farmer household. The research design was cross-sectional study. The samples were consisted of 35 owner farmer, 12 yeoman, and 13 farmworker.Primary and secondary data was analyzed by Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 13 for windows. The result showed that 48.33% of husband and 78.33% of wife were <40 years old. As many as 66.67% ofhusbandeducationand70.00% of wife education were elementary school. Mostofthesamplewere farmers, 26.67% husband and 18.33% wife had additional work. The result showed, based on the availability of staple food, 70.00% of household catagorized as food secured. Based on the access to food, 65.00% of household catagorized as food secured, and based on the utilization of food, 56.70% of household catagorized as food secured. The conclusion of this research, 63.30% of household catagorized as food secured based on combination of three component of food security. There was a significant positive correlation (p<0.01) betwen income per household per month, family size, access to clean water, total of rice production, and the rice production distributed to household with the availability of energy per capita per day
