    In teaching English Language, self-confidence is one psycological aspect that play crucial role for the students. Self-confidence is the positive power or willingness that has a good effect for students during conversation or discussion. Willingness is created when students clearly comprehend what to do and why. Optimism is a mental attitude, optimism is a form of positive thinking that includes the belief that you are responsible for your own happiness (Keller; 2010). To lift the students’ self-confidence in learning English, English language materials that based on the context or real world need to be used in the teaching and learning process. This paper is aimed at knowing the effect English language material which is based on contextual teaching learning towards students’ self confidence in learning English. To achieve this purpose, the students were taught using English language material which is based on contextual teaching learning before the speaking test was taken at the end. To analyze the data t-test was applied. The data analysis shows that students’ self confidence in learning English is improved but it doesn’t give significantly affect towards the students’ self-confidence

    Pengaruh Pembelajaran Era New Normal Terhadap Kualitas Pembelajaran dan Tingkat Pemahaman IPS

    The education system in Indonesia is experiencing new challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic that has entered Indonesia since 2020. This causes Indonesia to enter a new normal era. The new normal era learning process which is carried out directly in the classroom is different from face-to-face learning before the pandemic. The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the effect of new normal era learning on the quality of learning of social studies; and (2) determine the effect of learning in the new normal era on the level of understanding of social studies. This research method uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. The participant in this study were students of class VII at SMP (Junior High School) Muhammadiyah 06 Dau, Malang, Indonesia with a total of 75 students. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire. The hypothesis test used is the correlation coefficient test, the coefficient of determination, simple linear regression and partial t test with the classical assumption test in the form of normality test, linearity test, homogeneity test, and heteroscedasticity test. The results showed that (1) learning in the new normal era had a significant effect on the quality of learning with a value of 0.000; and (2) learning in the new normal era had a significant effect on the level of understanding of students with a value of 0.002. Based on the research, it can be concluded that learning in the new normal era has an effect on the quality of learning and the level of students' understanding of social studies at SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau. The existence of this research is expected for all parties to make good use of face-to-face learning in the new normal era and develop this research as further research to improve the quality of learning and the level of student understanding

    PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA DENGAN MEDIA SATKET DAN MEDIA INTERAKTIF DITINJAU DARI MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN GAYA BELAJAR SISWA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran yaitu media satket dan media interaktif, motivasi belajar, gaya belajar, dan interaksinya terhadap prestasi belajar fisika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dan dilakukan pada bulan Januari – Juni 2011. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTsN Tulung, Saradan, Madiun sejumlah 95 siswa yang terbagi menjadi tiga rombongan belajar (Rombel). Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik Cluster random sampling, sampel terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIIIA dan VIIIC. Kelas VIIIA menggunakan media satket dan kelas VIIIC menggunakan media interaktif. Data motivasi belajar dan gaya belajar diambil menggunakan angket, data prestasi afektif menggunakan lembar observasi/pengamatan afektif dan data prestasi belajar menggunakan instrumen tes prestasi belajar. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah anava tiga jalan dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2 x 2 dan dilanjutkan dengan ujiAnalisis of means. Dari analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) media satket dan media interaktif tidak memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; (2) motivasi belajar mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa; (3) gaya belajar mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa; (4) tidak ada interaksi antara media pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar siswa; (5) tidak ada interaksi antara media pembelajaran dengan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; (6) tidak ada interaksi antara motivasi belajar dengan gaya belaja terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, dan (7) tidak ada interaksi antara media pembelajaran, motivasi belajar, dan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa.     KAJIAN TINGKAT KEPATUHAN DAN KETEPATAN PENGGUNAAN MASKER BAGI PEDAGANG DI PASAR TRADISIONAL SURAKARTA SEBAGAI UPAYA PENCEGAHAN PENYAKIT COVID-19

    The Covid-19 pandemic, according to PHEOC data from the Ministry of Health as of July 31, 2020, in Indonesia from 866,539 specimens examined, 108,376 confirmed cases, 5,131 cases (4.7%) died and 65,907 cases (60.8%) recovered and 37,316 cases in care. One of the government's programs to prevent the spread of Covid-19 is to use masks properly. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of compliance and accuracy of the use of masks for traders in traditional markets in Surakarta as an effort to prevent Covid-19 disease. This research was conducted using a descriptive survey of 5 markets in the city of Surakarta including the Gede market, Nusukan, Jongke, Kadiplo, and Sidodadi markets. The research sample was taken by random sampling as many as 200 traders in the traditional market of Surakarta. The results of this study indicate that the compliance of traders who interact and conduct transactions in traditional markets in Surakarta City is quite good, because 85% of traders obey using masks as a health protocol to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. However, the level of accuracy in using masks is still poor, because of the 200 respondents, only 25.24% traders use masks correctly. Suggestions, it is better for the Surakarta City Government, especially the Trade Office, to make regulations and increase socialization and supervision of traders and buyers who interact actively in traditional markets so that new clusters of Covid-19 spread in traditional markets are not formed.Pandemi Covid-19 menurut data PHEOC Kemenkes sampai dengan tanggal 31 Juli 2020, di Indonesia dari 866.539 spesimen yang diperiksa, sebanyak 108.376 kasus terkonfirmasi, 5.131 kasus (4,7%) meninggal dan 65.907 kasus (60,8%) sembuh serta 37.316 kasus dalam perawatan. Salah satu program dari pemerintah untuk mencegah penularan Covid-19 dengan penggunaan masker yang baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kepatuhan dan ketepatan penggunaan masker bagi pedagang di pasar tradisional kota Surakarta sebagai upaya pencegahan penyakit Covid-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan survey deskriptif terhadap 5 pasar di kota Surakarta meliputi Pasar Gede, Nusukan, Jongke, Kadiplo, dan pasar Sidodadi. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan random sampling sebanyak 200 responden pedagang di pasar tradisional Surakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepatuhan pedagang yang berinteraksi dan melakukan transaksi di pasar-pasar tradisional di Kota Surakarta sudah cukup baik, karena 85% pedagang taat menggunakan masker sebagai protokol kesehatan untuk mencegah penularan virus Covid-19. Namun tingkat ketepatan penggunaan masker masih buruk, karena dari 200 responden pedagang hanya 25,24% yang menggunakan masker dengan tepat. Saran, sebaiknya Pemerintah Kota Surakarta, khusunya Dinas Perdagangan perlu membuat regulasi serta meningkatkan sosialisasi dan pengawasan terhadap pedagang dan pembeli yang berinteraksi aktif di pasar-pasar tradisional agar tidak terbentuk kluster baru penyebaran Covid-19 di pasar-pasar tradisional

    This research aimed to develop an integrated Science-Islamic geography teaching materials for students of grade X Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic Senior High School) at the standard of competence to analyze the dynamics of the hydrosphere and its influence on life. The development procedure refers to the method of Dick & Carey adapted to the curriculum of 2013 model. The subject of the trial, namely (1) a team of experts (subject matter expert, linguistic expert, learning design expert, and Quran/Hadith expert and (2) A geography teacher and students in grade X MAN (Public Islamic Senior High School) 1 Malang and MA (Islamic Senior High School) Hasanuddin, Siraman, Blitar. The results of the study, namely (1) the integrated Science-Islamic geography teaching material for the grade X MA meets the standards deserve to be published and (2) improvements suggested by the results of expert validation and field trials covering aspects language, media, evaluation, and display of text books

    Pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar geografi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN 6 Malang. Materi dalam penelitian ini adalah permasalahan kependudukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ekperimen semu dengan desain non equivalent control group. Analisis data menggunakan uji t (independent sample t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar geografi siswa SMAN 6 Malang. Nilai rata-rata gain skor kelas eksperimen lebih besar, yaitu 33,10 dibanding kelas kontrol, yaitu 16,24.
