Environmental Law and Sustainable Tourism: critical analysis between environmental ethics and interests in relation to non-human animal life

ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate the exploitation of animal life in tourism observed in certain tourist destinations, such as Jenipabu/RN, which uses dromedaries from the Canary Islands in ethical mismatch. As observed hypotheses, tourism as an economic activity does not share the parameters associated with the preservation of life and sustainability and the use of animals in tourism comes to constitute the reproduction of cases related to the exploitation and violation of animal rights, non-human lives. It is analyzed the evaluation of tourism development of a destination that uses nonhuman life in this activity in certain regions of Brazil. Through exploratory research and qualitative method, it investigates the bibliography, original documentation and articles that address sustainability parameters in Brazilian Environmental Law and tourism, through which it was diagnosed a sustainable development mean for the sector, since this activity tends to reach a factor of preservation of the fauna by contributing to conservation funds. As preliminary conclusion, it is stated that tourism planning needs to share guidelines to ensure the maintenance of animal life for inspection by the responsible agencies, particularly in organizations that use animals in their routine activities, and to encourage the creation and participation of multiple actors in courses of environmental education by promoting parameters of awareness of the maintenance and conservation of non-human life.Keywords: environmental law; sustainable tourism; environmental ethics; sustainability; non-human

O PAPEL DA MEMÓRIA PARA CONSTRUÇÃO DE SENTIDOS EM RELAÇÕES HOMOAFETIVAS

Interessa-nos nesse trabalho compreender o funcionamento da memória discursiva, como memória história que permite preencher as lacunas dos implícitos. Objetiva-se analisar através da memória, a regularidade, a repetição em relação ao sentido de família e casamento, observando como tais sentidos fazem circular sentidos outros a partir da memória discursiva, em postagens de redes sociais na página “@doisiguais” do Instagram. Portanto, este estudo está inserido na Análise de Discurso de vertente Pecheutiana, corrente que considera a língua não só como estrutura, mas a considera como acontecimento e o discurso como efeitos de sentidos entre os pontos A e B, sendo esses pontos considerados as representações do sujeito na esfera discursiva. Pretende-se compreender como os conceitos de discurso, ideologia e memória discursiva funcionam para pensarmos como são inscritos os sentidos de casamento, que se relacionam com o funcionamento da ideologia e com a posição do sujeito na enunciação, que é percebido por meio das condições de produção do discurso. O trabalho apresentado baseia-se em teóricos como Heine (2012/2017), Orlandi (2001/2007/2015) e Pêcheux (1995/1997/1999). Assim, o objetivo da pesquisa é analisar o discurso ligado às determinadas condições de produção e marcado ideologicamente, já que não se pode atribuir sentido a um discurso fora do contexto histórico e social. Two new records of Gynandromorphs in Xylocopa (Hymenoptera, Apidae s.l.)

Two new records of gynandromorphs in Xylocopa Latreille, 1802 (Hymenoptera, Apidae). Gynandromorphs are deviant morphological individuals with genetically distinct male and female tissues. Records of sex anomalies seems to be important to better understand the mechanisms regulating phenotypic expression. Herein, two new cases of gynandromorphs in carpenter bee species of Xylocopa from Brazil are described and figured: a mixed gynandromorph of the X. (Neoxylocopa) brasilianorum (Linnaeus, 1767) from São Paulo and a bilateral gynandromorph of the X. (Neoxylocopa) ordinaria Smith, 1874 from Sergipe

MOVIMENTOS IDEOLÓGICOS, POLÍTICA AMBIENTAL E O DIREITO COMO FERRAMENTAS DE PRESERVAÇÃO AMBIENTAL E SUSTENTABILIDADE

O artigo debate a relação entre os movimentos ideológicos efervescentes na sociedade moderna, o Direito e as Políticas Ambientais como ferramentas de preservação e conservação ambiental na era da sustentabilidade. O objetivo principal da pesquisa é criticar e refletir sobre o papel dos movimentos ideológicos e das vertentes do direito por meio de suas leis e normas, como ferramentas de preservação ambiental e sustentabilidade atuante na sociedade moderna. Por meio de metodologia exploratória de abordagem qualitativa utilizou de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental e e bibliográfica ao consultar livros, artigos científicos, documentos e materiais relacionados ao objeto de estudo. As hipóteses do estudo são o direito e a política ambiental por meio de suas leis e normas vem a contribuir com a preservação ambiental e a manutenção da vida nas suas distintas formas, e os movimentos ideológicos efervescentes na sociedade moderna apresentam fatores associados ao desenvolvimento sustentável e a sustentabilidade. Como conclusões apresenta-se novas tendências e ferramentas para interpretação da sustentabilidade e seus objetivos globais decorrentes da participação e planejamento por meio de ações da coletividade e do Poder Público integrados aos fins comuns do desenvolvimento sustentável. 

Distribution and provenance of heavy minerals from recent sediments of Green Lake, North Brazil, revisited

Geostatistical and multivariate statistical analyses were applied to heavy mineral data from an Amazonian fluvial-lake system near the Tapajós River mouth to investigate the spatial distribution and source-area of sediments. Twenty-one points were investigated, and the physical characteristics of the Green Lake deepest point were determined. Sand accumulates in the lake margins and mud quantity increases towards the lake center. Heavy mineral assemblage is composed of zircon, tourmaline, kyanite, rutile, staurolite, anatase, sillimanite, garnet, and spinel. Tourmaline, staurolite, and spinel are more abundant in the southeast area of the lake, while kyanite is dominant in the north area and zircon is in the whole lake except in its southeast area. Zircon - tourmaline and zircon - staurolite pairs are negatively correlated (r= -0.947 and -0.775, respectively), while tourmaline - staurolite and sillimanite - anatase pairs have a positive correlation (r= 0.628 and 0.675, respectively) which indicate different source rock types. Geostatistical analysis grouped the heavy minerals in three grups: Group 1 (tourmaline – staurolite – spinel - kyanite) and Group 2 (garnet – rutile – sillimanite - anatase) related to metamorphic source rocks ranging from medium to high grade, and Group 3 (zircon) related to acid igneous source rocks. The heavy mineral assemblage of Green Lake is analogous to the assemblage of the Alter do Chão Formation, indicating that this formation is the source of sediments of Green Lake

Online language: A study on referencing in memes on social media

The recent technological revolution has provided new forms for communication between people and has given rise to an interactive and dynamic language called online language. Accordingly, this study investigates the use of referents in the multimodal texts that are present in online language. Its objective is to understand how people use referencing in multimodal texts to describe the referential linguistic aspects that are characteristic of the digital meme genre. Barton and Lee (2015), Cavalcante (2019), Cortez e Muniz da Silva (2020), Dudeney, Hockly and Pegrum (2016) and Ribeiro (2018) are used in the construction of the theoretical framework. Methodologically, this article offers a descriptive analysis of two “memes in Brazilian Portuguese” that have circulated on social media during the COVID-19 pandemic. Results point to the relevant role of linguistic analysis and description in the production and reading of texts that circulate in cyberspace, which allows understanding the language in use in online environments

Reestruturação produtiva e consolidação de novos eixos de desenvolvimento territorial: O caso do Vetor de Desenvolvimento Perimetral da Macrometrópole Paulista | The productive restructuring and consolidation of the new vectors of territorial development: the case of the Perimetrical Development Vector of the São Paulo Macrometropolis

Analisa-se, neste artigo, a concepção do Vetor de Desenvolvimento Perimetral da Macrometrópole Paulista como um eixo linear de planejamento territorial privilegiado na reorganização espacial da estrutura produtiva paulista. Os dados apresentados demonstram que há, por parte dos órgãos estaduais de planejamento do Estado, um grande volume de investimentos em infraestruturas de transporte inter-regional, cujo objetivo é dotar esse eixo territorial entre Sorocaba, Campinas, São José dos Campos e o porto de São Sebastião de ótimas condições para atrair a localização dos setores mais modernos da indústria contemporânea e, por conseguinte, consolidá-lo como o principal corredor de produção e escoamento de mercadorias relacionadas aos novos padrões industriais/logísticos.
