    Campus Entrepreneurial Management

    Get PDF
In the current era of information disclosure, campus institutional leadership is not enough just to rely on the success of student graduation rates. Campus leaders need to have leadership and entrepreneurial qualities to create a learning climate that accommodates all creativity and innovation. At this point, the concept of campus entrepreneurial management is needed. An institutional management model is built on five components. Open Management, Networking, Constructive Competition, Empowerment, and Reward and Punishment. Furthermore, the campus entrepreneurial management concept will be able to encourage teaching creativity, interdisciplinary academic work, participate in social and political movements, contribute to changes in services and policies implemented by civil society and government organizations as well as business expansion opportunities to encourage the extraction of business costs legal business.keywords: campus, entrepreneurial, leadership, management, organizations

    Spectral Action for Robertson-Walker metrics

    Get PDF
We use the Euler-Maclaurin formula and the Feynman-Kac formula to extend our previous method of computation of the spectral action based on the Poisson summation formula. We show how to compute directly the spectral action for the general case of Robertson-Walker metrics. We check the terms of the expansion up to a_6 against the known universal formulas of Gilkey and compute the expansion up to a_{10} using our direct method

    Massive Hermitian Gravity

    Get PDF
Einstein-Strauss Hermitian gravity was recently formulated as a gauge theory where the tangent group is taken to be the pseudo-unitary group instead of the orthogonal group. A Higgs mechanism for massive gravity was also formulated. We generalize this construction to obtain massive Hermitian gravity with the use of a complex Higgs multiplet. We show that both the graviton and antisymmetric tensor acquire the same mass. At the linearized level, the theory is ghost free around Minkowski background and describes a massive graviton with five degrees of freedom and an antisymmetric field with three degrees of of freedom. We determine the strong coupling scales for these degrees of freedom and argue that the potential nonlinear ghosts, if they exist, have to decouple from the gravitational degrees of freedom in strong coupling regime.Comment: 10 page

Gravity with de Sitter and Unitary Tangent Groups

    Get PDF
Einstein Gravity can be formulated as a gauge theory with the tangent space respecting the Lorentz symmetry. In this paper we show that the dimension of the tangent space can be larger than the dimension of the manifold and by requiring the invariance of the theory with respect to 5d Lorentz group (de Sitter group) Einstein theory is reproduced unambiguously. The other possibility is to have unitary symmetry on a complex tangent space of the same dimension as the manifold. In this case the resultant theory is Einstein-Strauss Hermitian gravity. The tangent group is important for matter couplings. We show that in the de Sitter case the 4 dimensional space time vector and scalar are naturally unified by a hidden symmetry being components of a 5d vector in the tangent space. With a de Sitter tangent group spinors can exist only when they are made complex or taken in doublets in a way similar to N=2 supersymmetry.Comment: 23 pages, one reference added. To be published in JHE

FIQIH DAN TASAWUF DALAM PENDEKATAN HISTORIS

Empirically, Fiqh and Tasawuf are different. Fiqh has the character as symbolic, legalistic, exoteric, and formalistic. It tends to see a certain action from point of view of condition and administrative, legal and illegal. In fact, such an understanding is not acceptable as a result of the limitation in understanding Fiqh. Fiqh is a basic understanding toward messages of Syaria’at or God’s Khittab which deals with the heresy’s activities from the detailed argumentations. On the other hand, there is an assumption that tasawuf is identical with the resignation of static life. Tasawuf has the character of being exoteric emphasizing on spiritualistic. The sufi community do other Islamic rituals and they try to interpret their meanings by themselves. For the sufi community, those rituals are done to resign themselves to Allah. That is why an activity of doing ablution is intended not only to clean up physical organs but also internal aspects. What the sufi community do is principally out of their ego area to close themselves to the God

This study aims to determine how the process of controlling the quality of the social program of the Miftahul Huda Mosque, Balun Village, Turi District, Lamongan Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. Qualitative descriptive method is used to describe and examine in depth the process of quality control of the social program of the Miftahul Huda Mosque, Balun Village, Turi District, Lamongan Regency. Then, the data collection technique was carried out by means of interviews, observation, and documentation.  The results of this study are as follows. Miftahul Huda Mosque's social programs include providing death compensation (adults Rp. 400,000/person, children Rp. 300,000/person, providing coffins), anjangsana to sick families, assistance to families affected by natural disasters, and providing compensation. to orphans and less fortunate people twice (just before Eid al-Fitr and at PHBI Maulid Prophet Muhammad SAW). Miftahul Huda Mosque makes efforts to control the quality of social programs by going through several processes, namely program planning, implementation monitoring, quality assurance, quality improvement, program innovation, standardization of activities, persuasive efforts, reporting systems, and evaluation

Resilience of the Spectral Standard Model

    Get PDF
We show that the inconsistency between the spectral Standard Model and the experimental value of the Higgs mass is resolved by the presence of a real scalar field strongly coupled to the Higgs field. This scalar field was already present in the spectral model and we wrongly neglected it in our previous computations. It was shown recently by several authors, independently of the spectral approach, that such a strongly coupled scalar field stabilizes the Standard Model up to unification scale in spite of the low value of the Higgs mass. In this letter we show that the noncommutative neutral singlet modifies substantially the RG analysis, invalidates our previous prediction of Higgs mass in the range 160--180 Gev, and restores the consistency of the noncommutative geometric model with the low Higgs mass.Comment: 13 pages, more contours added to Higgs mass plot, one reference adde

TANGGUNG JAWAB ORANG TUA UNTUK MEMPERSIAPKAN GENERASI TANGGUH DALAM PERSPEKTIF AL-QUR’AN ANALISIS SEMANTIK TERHADAP Q.S. AL-NISA’: 9

Being a parent has the logical consequence of responsibility for children. The task of parents is not as simple as only growing and fulfilling children's clothing, shelter and food but also responsible for all aspects of a child's life in the world to the hereafter. Al-Qur'an itself also regulates it in its various verses (ayat), either in the form of a direct word or in stories that can be learned. As QS al-Nisa ' verses (ayat) nine emphasizes the obligation of parents to prepareeverything as much as possible for their offspring‟s future, especially if parents cannot accompany children to adulthood. The threat of not leaving their children in a weak condition is mentioned twice with different stressing since in Al Qur'an, there is no word that is truly synonymous even if it is interpreted in Indonesian with the same meaning. Therefore, this verse is understood as the duty and responsibility of parents to prepare themselves and focuson making a strong generatio

Crude extract of Buddleja asiatica Lour and its fractions, chloroform (F1), ethyl acetate (F2) and nbutanol (F3) were evaluated for antibacterial, antifungal, antispasmodic and Ca++ antagonist activities. The antibacterial activity was performed against 11 types of bacteria. The crude extract and fractions F2 and F3 exhibited significant activity, while F1 showed low activity in killing the Shigella flexenari, Sternostoma boydi and Escherichia coli. In the rest bacteria, the crude extract and all the fractions (F1 to F3) revealed minimum to nil inhibitory effect. The fungicidal activity of the crude extract and all the fractions (F1 to F3) was also performed against six different fungi. The crude extract and fractions F1 and F3 displayed significant activity, while fraction F2 showed moderate activity against Fusarium solani. In the case of Microsporum canis, the crude extract and fraction F3 showed high activity but in the other four fungi, the inhibition area exhibited optimum to nil activity in crude extract and all the fractions (F1 to F3). In isolated rabbit jejunum preparations, B. asiatica crude extract caused concentration-dependent (0.03 to 1.0 mg/ml) relaxation of spontaneous and high K+ (80 mM)-induced contractions. The results indicate the antibacterial, antifungal, antispasmodic and Ca++ antagonist potential of B. asiatica Lour.Key words: Buddleja asiatica, antibacterial, antifungal, antispasmodic, Ca++ channel blocker
