In this paper a particular model is developed and used to explain the outcome of hospital mortality rate and quantity of inpatient care in hospital care markets. The model focuses on the Brazilian National Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde - SUS) but it may be helpful in portraying a broad range of health systems. The effects of movements in underlying factors that may cause shifts in both demand and supply are readily predictable.Este trabalho apresenta um modelo geral para representar a oferta e a demanda de internações em hospitais, e avaliar os resultados da interação entre estas variáveis, e os seus determinantes, sobre a taxa de mortalidade hospitalar. Os exercícios desenvolvidos estão focalizados em variáveis disponíveis no Sistema Único de Saúde - SUS, com as quais são realizadas análises de estática comparativa, mas é aplicável a hospitais em geral

In-season internal and external training load quantification of an elite European soccer team

Elite soccer teams that participate in European competitions need to have players in the best physical and psychological status possible to play matches. As a consequence of congestive schedule, controlling the training load (TL) and thus the level of effort and fatigue of players to reach higher performances during the matches is therefore critical. Therefore, the aim of the current study was to provide the first report of seasonal internal and external training load that included Hooper Index (HI) scores in elite soccer players during an in-season period. Nineteen elite soccer players were sampled, using global position system to collect total distance, high-speed distance (HSD) and average speed (AvS). It was also collected session rating of perceived exertion (s-RPE) and HI scores during the daily training sessions throughout the 2015-2016 in-season period. Data were analysed across ten mesocycles (M: 1 to 10) and collected according to the number of days prior to a one-match week. Total daily distance covered was higher at the start (M1 and M3) compared to the final mesocycle (M10) of the season. M1 (5589m) reached a greater distance than M5 (4473m) (ES = 9.33 [12.70, 5.95]) and M10 (4545m) (ES = 9.84 [13.39, 6.29]). M3 (5691m) reached a greater distance than M5 (ES = 9.07 [12.36, 5.78]), M7 (ES = 6.13 [8.48, 3.79]) and M10 (ES = 9.37 [12.76, 5.98]). High-speed running distance was greater in M1 (227m), than M5 (92m) (ES = 27.95 [37.68, 18.22]) and M10 (138m) (ES = 8.46 [11.55, 5.37]). Interestingly, the s-RPE response was higher in M1 (331au) in comparison to the last mesocycle (M10, 239au). HI showed minor variations across mesocycles and in days prior to the match. Every day prior to a match, all internal and external TL variables expressed significant lower values to other days prior to a match (p<0.01). In general, there were no differences between player positions. Conclusions: Our results reveal that despite the existence of some significant differences between mesocycles, there were minor changes across the in-season period for the internal and external TL variables used. Furthermore, it was observed that MD-1 presented a reduction of external TL (regardless of mesocycle) while internal TL variables did not have the same record during in-season match-day-minus.: The authors state that there were no salaries’ fund from a tobacco company. Paradoxos do atual sistema de ensino : a ação pedagógica diferenciada e o combate à reprodução

Monografia (graduação)—Universidade de Brasília, Faculdade de Educação, 2013.Entendendo o sistema de ensino como setor de autonomia relativa dentro da sociedade capitalista, o presente trabalho busca reafirmar a existência de relações de dominação de classe e da divisão social do trabalho na ação pedagógica, mesmo esta sendo diferenciada. Para tanto realiza um levantamento teórico de grandes nomes críticos da chamada sociologia da educação, sobretudo francesa, e seus atuais críticos e modernizadores, tentando identificar os paradoxos da ação pedagógica diferenciada no sistema de ensino no que se refere ao combate à reprodução. Defende-se a visão de que, para que se combatam as tendências conservadoras do atual sistema de ensino, a diferenciação pedagógica frente às distâncias culturais de classe não deve possuir somente um aspecto técnico, mas também estar politicamente relacionada com um projeto de contra-hegemonia aliado às classes populares e que vise outras formações sociais estruturalmente antagônicas da atual. Nesse sentido, e no objetivo de atuar sobre autonomia relativa do sistema de ensino e sua atual configuração, buscou-se contribuir para uma ação pedagógica realmente progressista através de uma proposta nomeada de Pedagogia Social. __________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTUnderstanding the education system as a sector of relative autonomy in capitalist society, this work seeks to reaffirm the existence of relations of class domination and social division of labor in the pedagogical action, even its format differentiated. For both surveys thinkers of the french sociology of education, but also his current critics and modernizers, trying to identify the paradoxes of pedagogical action differentiated that aims to combat the reproduction in the education system. It supports the view that, in order to combat the conservative tendencies of the current education system, adaptive pedagogical action facing cultural distances of class should not only have a technical aspect, but also be politically connected with a counter-hegemonic project, ally to the working class, aimed at other social formations structurally opposing from the current. In this sense, and in objective of act on the relative autonomy of the education system and its current configuration, it sought to contribute to a truly progressive pedagogical action through a proposal named Social Pedagogy

A história oral de vida como método desestabilizador nas pesquisas sobre sexualidade e gênero

Based on a research experience with transgender people made with the Oral History method – more specifically, a branch of theirs, Oral Life History – as the basis of the work, this article was produced with the intention of reflecting on the use of oral sources in academic research, especially those dealing with sexuality and gender. In addition, it presents Oral History as an alternative to methods that treat people as objects and fragment narratives, expropriating their meaning, in order to confirm pre-established hypotheses.Partiendo de una experiencia de investigación con personas trans realizada con el método de Historia Oral – más específicamente una rama del mismo, la Historia de Vida Oral – como base del trabajo, este artículo fue elaborado con la intención de reflexionar sobre el uso de fuentes orales en investigación académica, especialmente las que se ocupan de la sexualidad y el género. Además, presenta la Historia Oral como una alternativa a los métodos que tratan a las personas como objetos y fragmentan narrativas, expropiando su significado, con el fin de confirmar hipótesis preestablecidas.Com base em uma experiência de pesquisa com pessoas transexuais que toma o método da História Oral – mais especificamente um ramo seu, a História Oral de Vida – como base do trabalho, este artigo foi produzido na intenção de refletir acerca do uso de fontes orais em pesquisas acadêmicas, principalmente as que tratam sobre sexualidade e gênero.
