Direct Synthesis of N,N-Disubstituted Formamides by Oxidation of Imines Using an HFIP/UHP System
The straightforward synthesis of N,N-disubstituted formamides using a combination of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoroispropanol (HFIP) and H2O2 is described. Diseño e implementación de una herramienta web para la gestión y control de repasado mediante el uso de web service y un software de visualización de datos
[ES] El siguiente proyecto es la realización de una aplicación para la gestión de una serie de datos, surgido por la necesidad de cambio en una empresa durante el periodo de prácticas del alumno. En cuanto al aspecto informático de dicha empresa, cuenta con un sistema de planificación de recursos el cual utiliza demasiadas sesiones de usuario en algunas de sus secciones; en concreto en la de repasado de tejido. Por lo tanto, el objetivo principal es la eliminación de estas cuentas sobrantes para, de ese modo, reducir costes a la empresa y además, al utilizar un navegador web como método de introducción de datos, eliminar el uso de papel y bolígrafo.
Para ello, se decide crear una aplicación web ejecutada bajo cualquier navegador que, gracias a los servicios web que proporciona el sistema, posibilite la comunicación entre aplicaciones sin importar el código utilizado. En este caso, las aplicaciones que se comunican son tanto la nueva aplicación web como el sistema de planificación, y un controlador automático utilizado como contametros de la tela. Finalmente, los datos recogidos por la aplicación se verían sometidos a su posterior estudio por un software dedicado a ello.[EN] The following project is the development of an application for the management of a series of data, which came up as a need for change in a business during a student’s work experience period. Regarding the IT aspect of this company, it includes an enterprise resource planning which uses too many user sessions in some of its sections; more specifically in the material revision. Therefore, the main objective is the removal of these spare accounts to reduce some of the company’s costs and also, by using the web browser as a data inputting method, to avoid the use of pen and paper.
To do so, we decided to create a web application that can be run under any browser which, because of the web services provided by the system, enable the communication between apps without worrying about the code that is used. In this case, the communicating apps are the new web application, the enterprise resource planning, and an automatic controller used as a meter counting device. Gracias a la internacionalización de los procesos económicos, la traducción económica es una de las actividades más demandadas en el mercado de la traducción debido al gran número de textos que genera, especialmente, desde la lengua inglesa hacia otros idiomas. En este trabajo nos centraremos en el análisis y el estudio de esta rama de la traducción a través de uno de sus géneros textuales más reconocidos en el ámbito empresarial: el informe anual. Para ello, discutiremos los aspectos teóricos que rodean a la traducción económica y a este género en particular para, a continuación, analizar los principales problemas que este tipo de traducción. An individual-based model for the study of Paracoccus denitrificans, a denitrifying bacterium
In order to understand some environmental factors that control N2O production by microbes in agricultural soils, a
virtual bioreactor for Paracoccus denitrificans was designed using a culture medium containing succinate as a
carbon source, ammonium as nitrogen source and various electron acceptors such as oxygen, nitrate, nitrite,
nitrogen monoxide and dinitrogen oxide. INDISIM was the core individual-based model for the bacterial behavior
and five metabolic pathways were selected and translated into balanced chemical equations using the
Thermodynamic Electron Equivalents Model. This thermodynamic approach is the basis of the individual
metabolism that this microbe carries out for its cellular maintenance and production of new biomass. The
preliminary simulation results achieved with the implementation of this model in NetLogo showed that it is
possible to investigate the behavior of this denitrifying bacterium and some of the outputs regarding the temporal
evolutions of the diverse substrates are consistent with previous experimental data carried out with it.Postprint (published version
Virtual reality based rehabilitation in adults with chronic neck pain: a systematic review and meta‑analysis of randomized clinical trials
Chronic neck pain is one of the most frequent musculoskeletal disorders, with high prevalence worldwide. Rehabilitation is an essential component of therapeutic strategy. Virtual reality based rehabilitation (VRBR) is a powerful distraction technique that could be beneficial for chronic neck pain patients. The objective of this systematic review was to analyse the effectiveness of VRBR in chronic neck pain treatment. We followed the PRISMA guidelines and used four databases (CINAHL, Medline (Via PubMed), Scopus and Web of Science) from their inception to August 2023. Eligibility criteria were established using PICOS. Methodological quality was evaluated with the Downs and Black scale and the risk of bias with the Revised Cochrane risk-of-bias tool. The meta-analysis was performed using the RevMan software. Six studies were included in the systematic review and the meta-analysis. We observed significant differences in favour of VRBR for pain intensity (SMD = − 0.46; 95% CI = − 0.74, − 0.19; p = 0.001), disability (MD = − 2.84; 95% CI = − 4.23, − 1.45; p < 0.0001), global perceived effect (MD = 0.49; 95% CI = 0.25, 0.72; p < 0.0001) and patient satisfaction (MD = 0.62; 95% CI = 0.38, 0.86; p < 0.00001). However, at short-term follow-up significant differences were only obtained for disability (MD = − 3.52; 95% CI = − 5.85, − 1.20; p = 0.003). VRBR can significantly improve pain intensity, disability, global perceived effect and patient satisfaction. The small number of articles included in the analysis is a limitation, even considering the good methodological quality of these studies. Investigating the effects of VRBR on mid and long-term follow-up and exploring different types of VR are needed.Universidad de Granada/CBU
Indirect evaluation of watermelon volatile profile: Detection of subtle changes with e-nose systems
The effectiveness of e-nose systems as high-throughput tools for volatile profiling in watermelon was investigated
focusing on discerning subtle changes induced by the use of different rootstocks. Partial Least Square Discriminant Analysis (PLS-DA) models, both GC-MS and e-nose data, demonstrated moderate performance in classification due to nuanced differences among groups (the same F1 hybrid was used as scion). However, PLS-DA
biplots revealed a clear correlation between GC-MS and e-nose data. This methodology enabled the e-nose system
to identify the effects of specific root-scion combinations compared to non-grafted controls and detect combinations with more variable volatile profiles. Remarkably, the e-nose system identified samples with anomalous
volatile profiles, mirroring the capabilities of GC-MS data. Additionally, PLS models were developed to provide
reasonably accurate predictions of key compound contents like geranylacetone, (Z)-6-nonen-1-ol, or (Z)-6-
nonenal, crucial for watermelon flavor and taste perception. Overall, this study highlights the potential of e-nose
systems in discerning nuanced variations in watermelon volatile profiles affecting aroma. Incorporating volatile
profile evaluation capabilities using such systems will significantly optimize quality control processes and plant

Out-of-plane orientation of luminescent excitons in atomically thin indium selenide flakes
Van der Waals materials offer a wide range of atomic layers with unique
properties that can be easily combined to engineer novel electronic and
photonic devices. A missing ingredient of the van der Waals platform is a
two-dimensional crystal with naturally occurring out-of-plane luminescent
dipole orientation. Here we measure the far-field photoluminescence intensity
distribution of bulk InSe and two-dimensional InSe, WSe and MoSe. We
demonstrate, with the support of ab-initio calculations, that layered InSe
flakes sustain luminescent excitons with an intrinsic out-of-plane orientation,
in contrast with the in-plane orientation of dipoles we find in two-dimensional
WSe and MoSe at room-temperature. These results, combined with the high
tunability of the optical response and outstanding transport properties,
position layered InSe as a promising semiconductor for novel optoelectronic
devices, in particular for hybrid integrated photonic chips which exploit the

Spin–layer locking of interlayer excitons trapped in moiré potentials
Van der Waals heterostructures offer attractive opportunities to design
quantum materials. For instance, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs)
possess three quantum degrees of freedom: spin, valley index, and layer index.
Further, twisted TMD heterobilayers can form moir\'e patterns that modulate the
electronic band structure according to atomic registry, leading to spatial
confinement of interlayer exciton (IXs). Here we report the observation of
spin-layer locking of IXs trapped in moir\'e potentials formed in a
heterostructure of bilayer 2H-MoSe and monolayer WSe. The phenomenon of
locked electron spin and layer index leads to two quantum-confined IX species
with distinct spin-layer-valley configurations. Furthermore, we observe that
the atomic registries of the moir\'e trapping sites in the three layers are
intrinsically locked together due to the 2H-type stacking characteristic of
bilayer TMDs. These results identify the layer index as a useful degree of
freedom to engineer tunable few-level quantum systems in two-dimensional

Desarrollo de un protocolo de embriogénesis somática para el saneamiento de las variedades de vid infectadas con GLRaV-3 y GFkV
La embriogénesis somática es una técnica de cultivo in vitro que permite el saneamiento de cultivares de vid (Vitis vinifera L.). Se ha analizado la presencia de los virus ArMvV, GELY, GFkV, GLRaV-1 y GLRaV-3 mediante real-time multiplex RT-PCR en hojas de plantas adultas de los cultivares “Valencí Blanc” y “Botó de Gall”. Además, se ha establecido un protocolo de embriogénesis somática para ambas variedades.
