    A critical analysis of technological interventions towards the national action plan for marine litter management 2018-2025: recommendations for addressing marine plastic litter in the ‘new balis’ of Indonesia sustainably

    This dissertation aims to provide recommendations for addressing marine plastic litter in the ‘New Balis’ of Indonesia sustainably through technological interventions in the framework of the National Action Plan for Marine Litter Management 2018-2025. ‘New Balis’ are the 10 prioritized tourism destinations in Indonesia to be developed and promoted. The ‘New Balis’ development is a national strategic project to boost national income from tourism sector which have been directed by Indonesian President since 2015. This is because tourism is a rapidly growing economic sector in Indonesia. However, ‘New Balis’ are also facing a global challenge called marine plastic litter. Marine plastic litter is a threat to ‘New Balis’ due to has potential impacts on the reduction of marine environment sustainability, health of tourists and local communities as well as tourism business income. Since 2018, Indonesian government has established and promulgated the National Plan of Action on Marine Litter Management 2018-2025. This national plan consists of three important key aspects of interventions (i.e. societal effort, technological application and institutional coordination) and five strategies for addressing marine litter in Indonesia, in particular to manage 70% of marine plastic litter by 2025. The strategies include 1) National movement for raising awareness of stakeholders, 2) Land-based litter management, 3) Litter management at sea and coasts, 4) Funding mechanism, institutional strengthening, monitoring and law enforcement, and 5) Research and development. In this dissertation research, technological interventions around the world and in Indonesia are reviewed and analyzed on their relevance to the national action plan as well as the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of potential impacts after intervening the technologies in the ‘New Balis’. In order to ensure technological interventions will be sustainable for addressing marine plastic litter in the ‘New Balis’, the aspects of sustainable tourism and international partnerships are also recommended to be considered by Indonesian government and related stakeholders

    Kajian Swamedikasi Diare Penghuni Kost Wilayah Gatak, Pabelan, Kartasura

    Swamedikasi merupakan salah satu tindakan pengobatan yang banyak dilakukan. Tindakan swamedikasi yang baik berawal dari pengetahuan yang baik, dengan pengetahuan yang baik maka tindakan swamedikasi dapat sesuai dengan tujuan pengobatan yang dimaksudkan untuk mengatasi suatu penyakit tertentu, termasuk di dalamnya adalah diare. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan tentang diare dan tindakan swamedikasi diare yang dilakukan oleh para penghuni kost wilayah Gatak, Pabelan, Kartasura. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian observasional, dengan rancangan penelitian adalah analitik dengan pendekatan crossectional. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 responden penghuni kost wilayah Gatak, Pabelan, Kartasura, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh dari kuisioner tentang pengetahuan seputar diare dan kuisioner tindakan swamedikasi diare. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji Pearson Correlation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 100 responden didapati 63 responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan dalam kategori tinggi, 33 responden dengan pengetahuan sedang, dan 4 responden dengan pengetahuan rendah. Distribusi tindakan swamedikasi diare menunjukkan 65 responden melakukan tindakan swamedikasi dalam kategori berkemampuan tinggi, 17 responden dengan kategori sedang, dan 18 responden dengan kategori rendah. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan pengujian Pearson Correlation menunjukkan nilai r=0,640 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,002, sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan tindakan swamedikasi diare pada penghuni kost wilayah Gatak, Pabelan, Kartasura

    Kertas konsep ini membincangkan tentang permasalahan sukarelawan bencana dalam usaha meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan sukarelawan semasa proses membantu mangsa bencana alam. Bencana adalah kejadian yang boleh menyebabkan kemusnahan harta benda dan nyawa sehingga membataskan kemampuan dan kesejahteraan individu atau masyarakat. Hampir setiap tahun bencana alam seperti tanah runtuh, tsunami, banjir dan ribut taufan berlaku. Antara negara yang terjejas disebabkan oleh bencana alam ialah negara Jepun, Indonesia, Thailand dan Malaysia. Sukarelawan adalah kumpulan yang menguruskan bantuan kemanusian kepada mangsa bencana. Kajian lepas berkaitan bencana lebih memfokuskan kesan yang dialami oleh mangsa bencana. Walau bagaimanapun, tugas sebagai sukarelawan bencana turut terkesan dari aspek gangguan emosi, mental dan kecederaan fizikal. Selain itu, kesan yang dialami oleh sukarelawan juga boleh mendorong kepada ketidaksediaan sukarelawan semasa proses pengurusan bantuan bencana. Kesediaan pula merupakan elemen utama dalam membantu mempersiapsediakan diri sukaelawan.     This study describes the implementation of character education in Indonesian language learning, including planning, implementation, and assessment. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were Indonesian language teachers at UPT SPF SMPN 53 Makassar. Data were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation analysis. The credibility test of the data used in this study is the persistence of observations, and then conclusions are obtained. The results obtained in this study are character education in Indonesian language learning at UPT SPF SMPN 53 Makassar has been implemented both in planning, implementation, and assessment of learning but not all of it has been implemented because it is still in the covid-19 pandemic. At the learning planning stage, the Indonesian language teacher has included character values ​​that will be implemented in learning in the syllabus and lesson plans.     This study aims to describe the implementation of character education and describe the inhibiting and supporting factors for implementing character education in Indonesian language learning in-class VA students at SD Inpres Parangrea, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. This type of research is qualitative research. The results showed that the character values obtained from the students were religious, tolerant, disciplined, hard-working, independent, creative, curious, fond of reading, friendly/communicative, and responsible. With the implementation of character education in Indonesian language learning in-class VA students at SD Inpres Parangrea, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, it can be carried out well and generally, taking actions such as 1). Character building at school.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter dan mendeskripsikan faktor penghambat dan pendukung implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada peserta didik kelas VA di SD Inpres Parangrea Kecamatan Bajeng Kabupaten Gowa Sulawesi Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai karakter yang diperoleh dari peserta didik yaitu religius, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, mandiri, kreatif, rasa ingin tahu, gemar membaca, bersahabat/komunikatif, dan tanggung jawab.  Dengan adanya implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada peserta didik kelas VA di SD Inpres Parangrea Kecamatan Bajeng Kabupaten Gowa Sulawesi Selatan dapat terlaksana dengan baik dan secara garis besar yaitu dengan adanya tindakan seperti: 1).     Hydrolysis of Sago Starch by Aspergillus Awamori for the Production of a Generic Fermentation Medium

    The efficiency of several amylolytic-enzyme-producing fungi such as Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus awamori and Aspergillus flavus to hydrolyse cooked sago starch has been carried out in shake flask cultures. Subsequently, the performance of microbial hydrolysis of sago starch by A. awamori, which was an industrial strain used for glucoamylase production, into fermentable sugar was studied in shake flask culture and 2 L stirred tank fermenter. The influence of medium composition (different types and concentrations of starch and nitrogen sources) on the rate of hydrolysis and fermentable sugar production was first carried out using shake flask cultures. The performance of microbial hydrolysis was also carried out in different modes of bioreactor operation (batch, repeated batch and continuous operation) using freely suspended cell system. Beside rate and degree of starch conversion, the enzymes produced during growth were also determined. For comparison, two-steps enzymatic hydrolysis which involve liquefaction and saccharification steps, was also carried out in batch and continuous processes. The microbial hydrolysis of gelatinised sago starch to fermentable sugar by three strains of amylolytic-enzyme-producing fungus (A. awamori, A. flavus and A. niger) was successfully carried out at low temperature (30oC) in a single step process. However, the performance of the hydrolysis by A. awamori, in term of yield (0.59 g glucose/g starch) and overall productivity (0.42 g glucose/L.h), was higher than other strain. In addition, the yield of microbial hydrolysis of the different starches (sago, potato, corn and tapioca starch) by A. awamori was more or less the same, ranged from 0.56 to 0.59 g glucose/g starch. From this study it was also found that the individual concentration of nitrogen and starch influenced glucoamylase production, and thus the efficiency of starch hydrolysis to fermentable sugar, to a greater extent than the carbon to nitrogen (C/N) ratio. The optimized medium formulation for high performance of starch hydrolysis was by using sago starch ranged from 50 to 100 g/L, yeast extract as the sole nitrogen source and C/N ratio of 17.13. The yield of glucose produced based on starch used in continuous microbial hydrolysis using 2 L stirred tank fermenter was lower than that obtained in batch hydrolysis (0.58 and 0.92 g/g, respectively) but the overall productivity was higher than that obtained in batch hydrolysis (1.44 and 0.58 g/L.h, respectively). The yield and overall productivity for microbial hydrolysis were lower than for enzymatic hydrolysis (0.75 g/g and 4.4 g/L.h, respectively). However, substantially high amount of biomass was also produced during microbial hydrolysis which can be used as nitrogen sources for media formulation. The optimum dilution rate and starch concentration for enzymatic hydrolysis using stirred tank was obtained at 0.125 h-1 and 300 g/L, respectively. On the other hand, the optimum dilution rate and starch concentration for microbial hydrolysis was obtained at 0.022 h-1 and 30 g/L, respectively. In addition, microbial hydrolysis was carried out at lower temperature (30oC) than that required in enzymatic hydrolysis (60-95oC). Thus, large reduction of operating cost is possible. Once, sterilised the glucose produced in outflow of the continuous microbial hydrolysis can be used as a generic medium for various fermentation processes

    Permasalahan yang dikaji didalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya motivasi kerja karyawan Divisi Pelayanan Sumber Daya Manusia di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung yang ditandai dengan pencapaian kinerja karyawan yang belum optimal. Permasalahan ini harus segera diatasi karena dapat menjadi penghambat bagi tercapainya tujuan PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung. Ada sejumlah faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi motivasi kerja karyawan Divisi Pelayanan Sumber Daya Manusia di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung, salah satunya adalah kompensasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kompensasi dan tingkat motivasi kerja karyawan Divisi Pelayanan Sumber Daya manusia di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung, serta untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh antara kompensasi terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan Divisi Pelayanan Sumber Daya manusia di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung. Objek yang menjadi unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan Divisi Pelayanan Sumber Daya manusia di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif verifikatif dengan metode survey explanatory. Populasi berjumlah 38 orang. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah koefisien korelasi pearson product moment dan analisis regresi sederhana. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t-test untuk melihat pengaruh parsial. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kompensasi pada Divisi Pelayanan Sumber Daya manusia di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung berada pada kategori cukup puas dan motivasi kerja berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil perhitungan korelasi menunjukan adanya hubungan dengan tingkat sedang antara kompensasi dengan motivasi kerja Divisi Pelayanan Sumber Daya manusia di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung. Besarnya pengaruh kompensasi terhadap motivasi kerja adalah sebesar 17 % sedangkan sisanya 83 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti penulis. This study uses descriptive verification method, the research method used is explanatory survey. Population of 38 respondents.     Pengaruh Implementasi Kebijakan Standar Pelayanan Minimum Terhadap Kualitas Pelayanan Pendidikan Pada Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Dan Politik Universitas Tadulako

    The purposes of this study were to determine the implementation influence of minimum service standards policy on educational services quality and also to identify the implementation influence of minimum service standards implemented into the internal policy on educational services quality at the Social and Political Sciences Faculty of Tadulako University. The theories used as footholds were the Policy Implementation Theory of Charles O. Jones (X Variables) comprising the dimensions of Organization, Interpretation, and Application and the Service Quality Theory of Rosenbloom (Y Variables) comprising the dimensions of Efficiency, Competence, and Fairness. The research method used was quantitative study. The sampling technique used was probability sampling, especially random sampling. Data were collected by means of questionnaire distributed to 88 respondents who were the implementors of the policy comprising the Faculty leadership elements, units leadership elements, and educators and educational personnels. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression technique. The results showed that the implementation of minimum service standards policy referred to the theory of Charles O. Jones (1994) comprising the factors of organization, interpretation, and application partially had significant and positive influence on educational services quality at Social and Political Sciences Faculty of Tadulako University where the organization factor partially had sufficiently strong influence, the interpretation factor partially had sufficiently strong influence, and the application factor partially had strong influence on educational services quality at Social and Political Sciences Faculty of Tadulako University. While the simultaneous testing showed that the implementation of minimum service standards policy simultaneously had significant and positive influence on educational services quality at Social and Political Sciences Faculty of Tadulako University with strong level of influence closeness amounting to 26% while the rest 74% was owned by the other factors (epsilon) which is not detected

Datanya ialah ayat-ayRt BM yang mengandungi kata sifat sahaja Kajian ini dipilih kerana kurangnya kajian yang serius tentang kata sifat serta hubungannya dengan unsur lain dalam ayat. Kajian ini juga perlu dilakukan kerana kata sifat merupakan antara golongan kata utama dalam ayat BM. This thesis studies the structural relationships between adjectives and other elements in Malay sentences. The data are Malay sentences containing adjectives. This research is chosen because presently there is hardly any serious study on adjectives and their relationships with other elements in a sentence. It is also felt necessary to be carried out because adjectives are among the main word classes in the Malay language
