Tratando-se de um tema oportuno no atual contexto audiovisual nacional, pretende se que o projeto contribua de forma útil para o progresso da indústria audiovisual, incentivando a criação e a escrita de conceitos e ideias originais.ABSTRACT: Cinema and literature are arts that consist in very flexible and influential components to disseminate meanings, proving themselves to be very efficient in their concepts or in revolutionizing ideas. They are, therefore, the best way to explore non-linear narrative, allowing all the freedom to those who intend to study its concepts and analyze the best way forward. To find out how to put this theme into practice, as well as to bring new contributions, it was decided to develop a screenplay where the studied concepts could be implemented and understand the mechanisms of the entire process of writing a narrative structured in a non-chronological order. By dividing the present project work into three distinct moments, it allows to find a coherence before reaching the stage of the developed screenplay. In a first phase, the entire theme of the project will be contextualized and the main concepts related to the organization of a narrative and the union between cinema and time will be analyzed. Still in the first phase of the project, the concentration is on the narrative format combined with the principles employed in the final project, that is, a non-linear narrative. In this case, studying a contemporary cinematographic representation of non-linearity is fundamental before the writing process. Finally, in the third segment of the project, all decisions related to the developed script are clarified, whether about its plot and organization, or the narrative timeline chosen. Since this is a relevant theme in the current national audiovisual context, it is intended that the project may contribute to the progress of the audiovisual industry, encouraging the creation and the writing of original concepts and ideas.N/

In this work we present a new procedure for automatic fault detection in grid connected photovoltaic (PV) systems. Most diagnostic methods for fault detection of PV systems already known are time consuming and need expensive hardware. In order to completely avoid the use of modeling and simulation of the PV system in the fault detection procedure we defined two new current and voltage indicators, NRc and NRv respectively, in the DC side of the inverter of the PV system. This method is based on the evaluation of these indicators. Thresholds for these indicators are defined taking into account the PV system configuration: Number of PV modules included in series and parallel interconnection to form the PV array. The definition of these thresholds for the voltage and current indicators must be adapted to the specific PV system to supervise and a training period is recommended to ensure a correct diagnosis and reduce the probability of false faults detected. A simulation study was carried using MatLab and the data used was monitored by the inverter, pyranometers, thermocouples and reference cells installed in a grid connected PV system located in the Centre de Développement des Energies Renouvelables (CDER), Algeria. The proposed method is simple but effective detecting the main faults of a PV system and was experimentally validated and has demonstrated its effectiveness in the detection of main faults present in grid connected applications

[Excerpt] Introduction The replacement of fishmeal by plant ingredients in aquafeeds imposed new formulation strategies to overcome some nutritional restrictions associated with these alternative ingredients. Thus, supplementation of plant-based diets with feed additives, as exogenous enzymes and antioxidants compounds, has recently attracted increasing interest to improve feed utilization and to promote animal health. Solid state fermentation (SSF) of agro-industrial wastes has a high potential for the production of these additives, being a practical, economical, and environmentally-friendly process. Olive mill and winery wastes have valuable compounds that may be valorized thought SSF and that may be used as additives for aquafeeds. This study was conducted to optimize the production of non-starch carbohydrases through the SSF of the olive mill and winery wastes and to test its efficacy to improve the release of pentoses during digestion of a plant-based diet in European seabass.[...]Work supported by FCT PhD grant SFRH/BD/131219/2017, SFRH/BDP/114942/2016, IJFCT-POCI 01-0145-FEDER-030377 and MAR-02.01.01-FEAMP-0111info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Olive pomace is characterized by its low nutritional value and high phenolic content, which hinders its direct use as animal feed, fertilizer, or as a substrate in bioprocesses such as solidstate fermentation (SSF). A possible strategy for bioprocessing olive pomace by SSF is the mixture of olive mill wastes with other wastes produced in the same region, such as winery wastes. This may improve the production of bioactive compounds like enzymes and antioxidant phenolics. A simplexcentroid design was used to evaluate the use of olive mill and winery wastes alone or in combination as a substrate for SSF with Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus ibericus. Synergistic effects of combinations of crude olive pomace (COP), exhausted olive pomace (EOP), vine trimming shoots (VTS), and exhausted grape marc (EGM) were observed in the production of xylanases, cellulases, glucosidases, and in the variation in total phenolics and antioxidant activity of SFF extracts. A multiple response optimization was carried out, leading to the following optimal mixture of substrates: for A. niger, 23% (w/w) COP, 30% EGM, 33% VTS, 14% EOP; for A. ibericus, 30% EGM, 36% VTS, 34% EOP. The scaleup to tray bioreactor with optimal substrate made it possible to achieve the maximum xylanase, cellulase, and glucosidase production of 189.1 ± 26.7, 56.3 ± 2.1 and 10.9 ± 0.8 U/g, respectively. The antioxidant activity of fermented wastes was also improved 2.2fold as compared with unfermented wastes. Thus, a combination of olive mill and winery wastes in SSF is a potential strategy to increase their value and to develop a circular strategy in these industries. © 2019 Society of Chemical Industry and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.José Manuel Salgado was supported by grant CEB/N2020 – INV/01/2016 from Project ‘BIOTECNORTE – Underpinning Biotechnology to foster the north of Portugal bioeconomy’ (NORTE-01-0145-FEDER-000004).
