The effects of cost of living and household dependency on household debt and its composition in Malaysia

The past decade has witnessed a notable increase in household debt across countries, which raises concerns on its impact on social and economic aspects. Although household debt plays an important role in supporting the economy to grow, a continuous rise in the debt level may bring serious economic consequences. Hence, understanding the potential factors that contribute towards the significant rise in the debt level is useful for policy implications. The main objective of this study was to investigate the effects of the cost of living and household dependency on household debt and its composition in Malaysia where the roles of income level, interest rates and housing prices are the control variables. By using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) modelling approach, this study revealed that in the long run, income level, housing prices and old age dependency have positive influences on both total household debt and mortgage debt while an inverse relationship was observed on the effects of interest rates, cost of living and young age dependency on both types of debt. This finding is also similar to the case of consumer debt except for the role of housing prices which exhibit a negative relationship. This study also discovered that in the event of any short-term deviation in the household debt model the mortgage debt will adjust faster compared to the consumer debt, which may be due to risks associated with mortgage debt which is typically lower since it is secured with assets and thereby any short-term deviation will be easily adjusted. Finally, the inclusion of the structural break in the debt model revealed that the break effects are significant in all the models and thereby support the importance of considering their presence in the analysis to prevent biased estimation

Perhaps it can be said that in the complete biography of the worldly and ascetic poetry of Dari Persian literature, Nasser Khosrow is Kesai and the peak of it is Sana'i.  The high frequency of worldly aversion theme in the poem is dependence on the court and their abandonment. The images of the world in the mind of Nasser Khosrow; It is well conveyed through the dictionary. These pictures show its true face. Nasser Khosrow's depiction of the world is not only ugly and unpleasant; Sometimes he looks wise. It should be said that the poet has given many advices on leaving the world and worldly desires, the main reason for which is the impermanence and transience of the world

Impact of Covid-19 on the Banking Sector of Pakistan

As it is seen that Pakistani banks are working continuously during the whole duration of covid-19 without any interruption, we have conducted this study to evaluate the performance of banks. We have explored in this study the impact of covid-19 on the Banking sector of Pakistan. By analysing banks' performance indicators, we have seen the trends of performance of top Pakistani banks. Ten banks are taken understudy, and six performance indicators such as Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Net income, Total deposits of banks, and Current ratios are examined in detail. The data is taken from the last quarter of 2019 and all four quarters of 2020. The data is collected from financial reports and other published sources. Comparisons have been made among each quarter of the banks which shows that we have to use the method of comparative analysis for this study. The results conclude that Pakistani banks are performing very well during the whole scenario of covid-19, where all other sectors of the economy have collapsed worldwide. Significant performances of the banks have supported the economy of Pakistan well. So, this study is helpful to the analysts, other researchers, and the decision-makers to banks to understand the trends and make their decisions accordingly

Mapping the Plastic Waste Research Landscape: A bibliometric analysis of the interdisciplinary nature of plastic waste research

The purpose of this study was to explore a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research on plastic waste. A systematic literature search was conducted using the Scopus database to retrieve articles published between 2011 to 2022. The bibliometric indicators used such as the number of publications, citations, and collaboration networks. The study revealed 2735 articles on plastic waste were published. India and China were the most productive countries in terms of publication output. The analysis identified a strong network of collaborations among researchers. Several limitations were also identified. This study provides insights for future research and recommendations for policymakers. Dimana PKH sendiri salah satu bentuk bantuan yang langsung di tanggani oleh kementerian sosial serta dikawal penuh oleh aparat pemerintahan hingga tersalurkan kepada penerima bantuan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa dan mendiskripsikan implementasi program keluarga harapan di Desa Pandanrejo Kecamatan Bumiaji Kota Batu. Dalam hal penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan yang mendasar yaitu memberikan pemahaman penuh tentang teori-teori implementasi kebijakan publik melalui intervensi program dan pastisipasi masyarakat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik dalam pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara,observasi, dan dokumentasi teknik yang digunakan dalam analisis data yaitu menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Lokasi penelitian yang di pilih sesuai judul skripsi yaitu: “IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM KELUARGA HARAPAN” (Studi di Desa Pandanrejo, Kecamatan Bumiaji, Kota Batu Berdasarkan Peraturan Kementrian Sosial RI No 1 Tahun 2018 Tentang Program Keluarga Harapan). A Simplified Technique for Implant-Abutment Level Impression After Soft Tissue Adaptation Around Provisional Restoration

Impression techniques for implant restorations can be implant level or abutment level impressions with open tray or closed tray techniques. Conventional implant-abutment level impression techniques are predictable for maximizing esthetic outcomes. Restoration of the implant traditionally requires the use of the metal or plastic impression copings, analogs, and laboratory components. Simplifying the dental implant restoration by reducing armamentarium through incorporating conventional techniques used daily for crowns and bridges will allow more general dentists to restore implants in their practices. The demonstrated technique is useful when modifications to implant abutments are required to correct the angulation of malpositioned implants. This technique utilizes conventional crown and bridge impression techniques. As an added benefit, it reduces costs by utilizing techniques used daily for crowns and bridges. The aim of this report is to describe a simplified conventional impression technique for custom abutments and modified prefabricated solid abutments for definitive restorations

Deteksi dan Estimasi Kecepatan Kendaraan dalam Sistem Pengawasan Lalu Lintas Menggunakan Pengolahan Citra

Deteksi objek berbasis pengolahan citra digital pada kendaraan sangat penting untuk diterapkan dalam membangun sistem pengawasan atau sebagai metode alternatif dalam mengumpulkan data statistik untuk pengambilan keputusan rekaya lalu lintas yang efisien. Pada penilitian ini, dibuat sistem deteksi kendaraan berbasis video lalu lintas untuk jenis kendaraan tertentu dengan menggunakan Haar Cascade Classifier dan estimasi kecepatan kendaraan dilakukan dengan menghitung perbedaan waktu pada Region of Interest (ROI) yang telah ditentukan dan hasilnya akan ditampilkan pada Radar Speed Design. Pengujian dilakukan dengan 5 video pengujian. Hasil yang didapatkan dari deteksi kendaraan yaitu nilai rata-rata recall 0.988 dan presisi 0.97 dan dari perhitungan kecepatan didapatkan nilai Mean Squared Error (MSE) yaitu 0,6
