Influencia de la música en las habilidades sociales en los niños Down.

Analizar la influencia de la música en el desarrollo de habilidades sociales en niños y niñas con síndrome de Down, del Jardín Infantil La Arboleda.Existen estudios que comprueban los efectos positivos de la utilización de la música como estrategia de enseñanza con los niños y niñas con síndrome de Down. El objetivo de este estudio se centra en analizar el siguiente interrogante: ¿Cómo influye la música en el desarrollo de las habilidades sociales de los niños y niñas con síndrome de Down del Jardín la Arboleda? El jardín infantil opera en el alto de las palmas en el kilómetro 19 en el Mall La Reserva, cuenta con una población de 85 niños aproximadamente, entre ellos 5 con síndrome de Down; es una institución incluyente. Esta investigación pretende indagar de qué manera podría la música ser un factor que impacte en las habilidades sociales en los niños con síndrome de Down, mediante la utilización de una investigación acción, la cual permite, además de identificar los procesos que se desarrollan para enseñar, accede a los procesos que despliegan los estudiantes para aprender. Por esta razón, busca generar conocimientos y saberes que sean de provecho para el ámbito de la enseñanza y aprendizaje, donde se propicie un ambiente transformador alrededor de los estudiantes, promoviendo así, contextos inclusivos que fortalezcan los procesos pedagógicos de los niños y niñas del Jardín Infantil la Arboleda. Es así que se efectuaron diferentes técnicas de recolección de datos, las cuales fueron, observación, entrevista, estudio de caso, trabajo de campo; donde se pudo obtener resultados satisfactorios. Teniendo esto en cuenta, se recomienda que la música sea considerada como estrategia pedagógica fundamental en el proceso educativo de los niños y niñas con Síndrome de Down, pues con una participación y un adecuado acompañamiento familiar, los aportes en su desarrollo serán positivos y efectivos. Y además la música tiene el don de acercar a las personas y brindarles tranquilidad, armonía y desarrollo de habilidades sociales. Some studies have proved the positive effects of the use of music as a teaching strategy on children with Down syndrome. In this way, this study has the objective of analyzing the following question: How does the music influence the development of the social abilities of children with Down syndrome in La Reserva kindergarten? This kindergarten operates up ahead of Las Palmas, in the 19 kilometer in La Reserva Mall. It has a population of 85 children approximately, of which 5 of them have Down syndrome. It is an inclusive institution. Therefore, this study pretends to investigate how does music is a factor that impact the social abilities of children with Down syndrome through the use of action research. This lets to identify the processes developed for teaching and the access to the processes deployed for the students to learn. For this reason, the study seeks to generate knowledge for teaching and learning, transforming the environment around the students, and promoting an inclusive context that reinforces the pedagogical processes of the children of La Arboleda Kindergarten. Moreover, different collecting data techniques were used: observations, interviews, case studies and work field, of which we could obtain satisfactory results. Taking into account this, it recommends to consider music as a fundamental teaching strategy in the educative process of children with Down syndrome, because with the correct accompaniment and participation of the family, the development of the children would be positive and affective. Besides, music has the gift of approaching people and give them calm, harmony, and the development of social abilities

Investigación de fenómenos psicosociales

The book “Investigación de fenómenos psicosociales”. An approach for the encounter with the other is an initiative of some researchers of the Psychology program of the Manizales Regional Center of the Catholic University Luis Amigó, due to the exponential growth of research in phenomena that shape the social reality of our context and the interest of problematizing research as an option of encounter with people and communities, rethinking traditional and extractivist notions in the construction of knowledge. With this initiative, it is evident that the research processes carried out throughout the years of existence of the Psychology program, have been interlocated, accompanied and fed back by academic agents from other institutions, which has significantly nurtured the discussions. In addition, the production presents a common denominator, and that is qualitative research, as a recurrent design in the different studies, becoming a device for the problematization of the text.illustratorEl libro Investigación de fenómenos psicosociales. The Research Journey as a Challenge Towards New Trends

The academic community of the department of Risaralda, in its permanent interest in evidencing the results of the research processes that are carried out from the Higher Education Institutions and as a product of the VI meeting of researchers of the department of Risaralda held in November 2021 presents its work: “The journey of research as a challenge towards new trends”, which reflects the result of the latest research and advances in different lines of knowledge in Agricultural Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Technology and Information Sciences, which seek to solve and meet the demands of the different sectors. A database of freshwater fish species of the Amazon Basin

The Amazon Basin is an unquestionable biodiversity hotspot, containing the highest freshwater biodiversity on earth and facing off a recent increase in anthropogenic threats. The current knowledge on the spatial distribution of the freshwater fish species is greatly deficient in this basin, preventing a comprehensive understanding of this hyper-diverse ecosystem as a whole. Filling this gap was the priority of a transnational collaborative project, i.e. the AmazonFish project - https://www.amazon-fish.com/. Relying on the outputs of this project, we provide the most complete fish species distribution records covering the whole Amazon drainage. The database, including 2,406 validated freshwater native fish species, 232,936 georeferenced records, results from an extensive survey of species distribution including 590 different sources (e.g. published articles, grey literature, online biodiversity databases and scientific collections from museums and universities worldwide) and field expeditions conducted during the project. This database, delivered at both georeferenced localities (21,500 localities) and sub-drainages grains (144 units), represents a highly valuable source of information for further studies on freshwater fish biodiversity, biogeography and conservation

Clonal chromosomal mosaicism and loss of chromosome Y in elderly men increase vulnerability for SARS-CoV-2

The pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19) had an estimated overall case fatality ratio of 1.38% (pre-vaccination), being 53% higher in males and increasing exponentially with age. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, we found 133 cases (1.42%) with detectable clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations (mCA) and 226 males (5.08%) with acquired loss of chromosome Y (LOY). Individuals with clonal mosaic events (mCA and/or LOY) showed a 54% increase in the risk of COVID-19 lethality. LOY is associated with transcriptomic biomarkers of immune dysfunction, pro-coagulation activity and cardiovascular risk. Interferon-induced genes involved in the initial immune response to SARS-CoV-2 are also down-regulated in LOY. Thus, mCA and LOY underlie at least part of the sex-biased severity and mortality of COVID-19 in aging patients. Given its potential therapeutic and prognostic relevance, evaluation of clonal mosaicism should be implemented as biomarker of COVID-19 severity in elderly people.
