The problem of this study is to reveal how the struggle for love in major character. The objectives of the study is to analyze the major character in Hitch movie based on Individual Psychological Approach. The study is a literary study, which can be categorized into a descriptive qualitative study. The object of this study is Hitch movie. The data sources are primary and secondary data sources. The primary data source is the movie Hitch script and the secondary data sources are related to the primary data that support the analysis such as some books of psychology and website related to the research. The method used for collecting data is library research and documentation. The technique of data analysis is descriptive analysis. The structural elements of the movie bring us to take a close view at how the movie embodies and shows all the events. It can be divided into eleven; namely, characters and characterization, setting, plot, point of view, theme, casting, mise_en_scene, cinematography, sound and editing. Based on the analysis, the writer concludes that the problem faced by the major character is struggle to get his love, the writer use individual psychological perspective such as: Inferiority Feeling, Striving for Superiority, Fictional Finalism, Style of Life, Social Interest, and Creative Power. Based on An Individual Psychological aspects shown in the film, the writer then concludes that literary work reflects the condition of person who has a dream or goal and his struggle to get i

    Sub-dekahertz ultraviolet spectroscopy of 199Hg+

Using a laser that is frequency-locked to a Fabry-Perot etalon of high finesse and stability, we probe the 5d10 6s 2S_1/2 (F=0) - 5d9 6s 2D_5/2 (F=2) Delta-m_F = 0 electric-quadrupole transition of a single laser-cooled 199Hg+ ion stored in a cryogenic radio-frequency ion trap. We observe Fourier-transform limited linewidths as narrow as 6.7 Hz at 282 nm (1.06 X 10^15 Hz), yielding a line Q = 1.6 X 10^14. We perform a preliminary measurement of the 5d9 6s2 2D_5/2 electric-quadrupole shift due to interaction with the static fields of the trap, and discuss the implications for future trapped-ion optical frequency standards.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, submitted for publicatio

Quantum cascade laser frequency stabilisation at the sub-Hz level

Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCL) are increasingly being used to probe the mid-infrared "molecular fingerprint" region. This prompted efforts towards improving their spectral performance, in order to reach ever-higher resolution and precision. Here, we report the stabilisation of a QCL onto an optical frequency comb. We demonstrate a relative stability and accuracy of 2x10-15 and 10-14, respectively. The comb is stabilised to a remote near-infrared ultra-stable laser referenced to frequency primary standards, whose signal is transferred via an optical fibre link. The stability and frequency traceability of our QCL exceed those demonstrated so far by two orders of magnitude. As a demonstration of its capability, we then use it to perform high-resolution molecular spectroscopy. We measure absorption frequencies with an 8x10-13 relative uncertainty. This confirms the potential of this setup for ultra-high precision measurements with molecules, such as our ongoing effort towards testing the parity symmetry by probing chiral species

High impact of COVID-19 outbreak in a nursing home in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, France, March to April 2020

International audienceAbstract Background Elderly people in nursing homes are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 due to their age, the presence of comorbidities, and community living. On March 14, 2020, at the beginning of the first epidemic wave of COVID-19 in France, a cluster was reported in a nursing home in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. We monitored the outbreak as well as the infection prevention and control (IPC) measures implemented. Methods A confirmed case was defined as laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 in a resident or staff member present in the nursing home between March 7 and May 1, 2020; and a probable case as a person presenting an acute respiratory illness after contact with a confirmed case. Symptomatic inpatient residents and symptomatic staff members were systematically tested for SARS-CoV-2. In addition, two screening sessions were held on site. Results We identified 109 cases (98 confirmed, 11 probable). The attack rate was 66% among residents and 45% among staff. Half of all cases were identified during the screening sessions. One-quarter of cases had minor symptoms or were asymptomatic. The case fatality rate among residents was 29%. IPC measures were rapidly implemented such as the quarantine of residents, the reinforcement of staff personal protective equipment, and home quarantine of staff testing positive, which were supplemented in April by systematic controls at the entrance of the nursing home and the creation of additional staff break rooms. Conclusions This outbreak confirmed the considerable health impact of SARS-CoV-2 transmission in a nursing home. In addition to the implementation of IPC measures, the early detection of cases through the screening of residents and staff is essential to identify asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic cases and limit the spread of the virus

Iodine based reference laser for ground tests of LISA payload

International audienceWe report on the development of a transportable iodine frequency stabilized laser setup, based on compact-fibered frequency tripled Telecom laser, locked to the a10 hyperfine component of the 127I 2 line at 532.245 nm. Therefore, a tandem of Nd: YAG lasers are phase-locked to this reference laser and used for precise interferometry measurements as part of the French activities in the frame of LISA-France consortium, led by the French space agency (CNES). The frequency stability transfer from 1596 nm to the LISA nominal wavelength at 1064.49 nm is fulfilled in a simple manner [1], using the usual phase locking loop technique associated to a second harmonic generation process. The compact design of the whole setup will make it easily transportable and can be readily used on different sites
