The efforts to understand ontological meaning of Islamic education are not easy, furthermore the nature of Islamic education meaning is intended as an abstraction integrity of meaning that is accepted ideological, theoretical, and empirical. The existence of Islamic education is always in contact and grappling with the reality surrounding them. In historical perspective, the struggle between Islamic educations with socio-cultural realities faces two possibilities: influences or is influenced. The consequence is that Islamic education can be defined as a process of enculturation and or facilitation efforts (medium). If referring to the terms of Islam, Islamic education is personified to the term at-tarbiyah, at-ta'li> m, at-ta'di> b and ar-riya> d} ah. Each of these terms has different accentuation meanings although it has the same outline. In understanding Islamic education, basic education and its goal formulation becomes noteworthy. Development of bambangan (Mangifera pajang) carbonated drink

Mangifera pajang Kostermans or bambangan is a popular fruit among Sabahan due to its health and economic values. However, the fruit is not fully commercialized since it is usually been used as traditional cuisine by local people. Thus, development of bambangan fruit into carbonated drink was conducted to produce new product concept. The objectives of this study were to conceptualize, formulate, evaluate consumer acceptance, and determine physicochemical properties and nutritional composition of the accepted product. Method used in conceptualising the product was based on questionnaire. The consumer acceptance was evaluated based on descriptive and affective tests with four product formulations tested. The physicochemical properties on carbon dioxide volume, colour, pH, total acidity, total soluble solid (TSS) and viscosity were highlighted, meanwhile nutritional composition on fat, protein, carbohydrates and energy content were determined. About 77% respondents gave positive feedback, and 69% respondents decided this product is within their budget. The formulation of 5% bambangan pulp, 70% water, 25% sugar and 0.2% citric acid was highly accepted in descriptive and affective tests with 4.4 and 6.39 mean scores, respectively. The physicochemical properties and nutritional composition of the acceptance product were in optimum value except for colour, total acidity and TSS. Overall, this study showed that the product has high potential to be commercialized as new product concept, and heritage of indigenous people can be preserved when this fruit is known regionally

Implikasi Integrasi Sains dan Agama Terhadap Pendidikan Islam

The aim of the research is to realize the integration of science and religion in Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach, which describes and describes the embodiment of the integration of science and religion in Islamic education. The data collection technique used in this research is library research (Library Research) where library research is the activity of collecting materials related to research originating from the Al-Qur'an, Hadith, books, scientific journals, literature and other publications that are worthy of being used as a source for research that the author will examine. The results of the study show that the implications of Islamic education in the development of science include the following: 1) Islamic aqidah as the basis of science, and 2) Islamic Sharia as a standard for the use of science and 2) Islamic education efforts in dealing with the negative impacts of science, namely: 1) amar ma 'ruf, 2) nahi munkar, and 3) faith in Allah

Effect of feeding Lupin (Lupinusangustifolius) on carcass composition of Boer goat

This study was undertaken to measure the effects of different dietary treatments on carcass composition of Boer goats. The main protein source in the diet was Lupinusangustifolius and other ingredients were palm kernel expeller (PKE), soya bean meal, fish meal, wheat pollard, corn, molasses, crude palm oil, broken rice, and Brachariahumidicola hay. The protein level and energy level in all treatment diet was isocaloric and isonitrogenous (Crude Protein ~ 16.3% and Metabolizable Energy ~ 10.3MJ/kg). The Lupin composition in three treatment diets was 0%, 10% and 30%, respectively. Twenty four Boer goats, age 8-9 months old were used in this study which was divided into three equal groups. The adaptability period was 14 days and the feeding trial goes for 103 days. All goats were slaughtered according to Malaysian Halal Protocol 2009. The results revealed no significant differences (P<0.05) in the initial weight, final weight, weight gain, hot carcass weight, cold carcass weight and dressing percentage among the groups. There was also no significant difference on carcass composition: production of lean meat, and bone to fat ratio among the groups. Thus, this study showed that Lupin can be used as an alternative for protein source in goats reared in tropical condition and its performance in term of weight gain and carcass composition is as good as soybean meal
