    Get PDF
Watermarking is used mostly for multimedia data copyright protection. This paper introduces the Transformation Framelet (FLT) for watermarking digital images. In this technique, the FLT is used to create an original image and watermark the low (LL) frequency subband of an original image in LL subband of an image watermarking. Simulation results demonstrate, in terms of a wide range of traditional attaches, that this approach is imperceptible and stable. MATLAB software version 2014 was used for simulation. Experiments on gray scale and colored images were performed in this work

This study is intended to identify challenges and obstacles associated with intellectual and antiterrorism agency at IRAQ security institutions and to explore ways of confrontation from the perspective of personnel of the inmate. Study is based on social survey of study population using analytical, descriptive method. The approach was commensurate with study population size, and was chosen on availability and the right standard to achieve intended objectives of study. This Study summed up with the following findings and results : - intellectual and antiterrorism agency at IRAQ security institutions patterns rampant among inmates of security institutions are extremism, radicalism, intellectual deviation about Jihad and the adoption of ideas and behaviors alien to the this problem and the governments rule. - The best anti-deviant ideology ides and programs are religious guidance based on moderation and face-to-face with detainees lectures by religious scholars and teachers. The most effective preventive measures and programs to stop the spread of deviant thinking involve among the youth Muslims and promotion of correct religious understanding, and proper social upbringing. The impact of intellectual deviation on the young can take the form of self- destruction (suicidal behavior) to punish the others. It can also lead to family disintegration and crimes. Key counter-intellectual deviation measures are adopting sound understanding and showing proper caring for prison inmates and their families

Mechanical pretreatment of waste paper for biogas production

    Get PDF
In the anaerobic digestion of lignocellulosic materials such as waste paper, the accessibility of microorganisms to the fermentable sugars is restricted by their complex structure. A mechanical pretreatment with a Hollander beater was assessed in order to reduce the biomass particle size and to increase the feedstock’ specific surface area available to the microorganisms, and therefore improve the biogas yield. Pretreatment of paper waste for 60 min improves the methane yield by 21%, from a value of 210 ml/gVS corresponding to untreated paper waste to 254 ml/gVS. 30 min pretreatment have no significant effect on the methane yield. A response surface methodology was used to evaluate the effect of the beating time and feedstock/inoculum ratio on the methane yield. An optimum methane yield of 253 ml/gVS was achieved at 55 min of beating pretreatment and a F/I ratio of 0.3

Measuring and Analyzing the Impact of Financial Crowding Out on the Iraqi Banking Sector for the Period From 2004 to 2020

    Get PDF
Purpose:  The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of financial crowding out on the banking sector, tested under the mediation of the two variables  of  banking sector indicators (total deposits  ,Bank credit).   Theoretical Framework:  Although the studies conducted to clarify the effects of fiscal crowding-out were conducted in the context of public finances, there was a need to explore the effect of mediating interest rates as a result of increasing public debt to finance government spending.   Design/Methodology/Approach:  We used the methodologies of Ali Jaber and Hoda Abed (2003) to test the effect of financial policy variables to measure the size of the financial crowding out variable. Regarding the testing and validity of the hypothetical search model, path analysis was used within the structural equation modeling analysis. The study sample consists of 16 commercial and Islamic banks in the Iraqi banking sector, and it is inclusive of all the data of the banks listed in the Iraq Stock Exchange, for the possibility of generalizing the results fairly to the community.   Findings:  The results indicate that the variables of total taxes, public debt, and total public expenditures as indicators of the volume of financial competition have a direct impact on total bank deposits and credit. Such an effect is statistically significant. The results provide practical solutions to enhance competition in the funds available for lending to the banking sector by diversifying the various funding sources to preserve and sustain banking resources.   Research, Practical and Social Implications:  Future studies can look at other indicators of the size of financial competition and assess its impact on the various dimensions of the relationship between the financial policy methodology and banking sector facilities.   Implications/Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature related to fiscal policy by analyzing the results of the impact of government spending financing equations on total deposits and the volume of bank credit in Iraqi banks, and presents a practical and applied perception of the role played by the fiscal policy methodology in Iraq

Impact of Dentine Pretreatment with Matrix Metalloproteinase Inhibitors on Bond Strength of Coronal Composite Restorations: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of In Vitro Studies

    Get PDF
OBJECTIVES: Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) enzymes participate in collagen matrix degradation, including in dentine, potentially compromising bond strength. Therefore, MMP inhibitors have been hypothesized to improve restoration bond strength and stability. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the influence of different MMP inhibitors applied as dentine surface pretreatments on the immediate (24 hours) and longer term (months) bond strength of direct coronal composite restorations. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This systematic literature review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) statement. A systematic literature search of three databases (Ovid MEDLINE, Ovid Embase, and Google Scholar) was conducted independently by two reviewers from inception to April 2022. An adapted quality assessment tool was independently applied by two reviewers for risk of bias assessment. STATISTICAL ANALYSIS: RevMan v5.4 software was used for meta-analyses. A random-effects model was used to generate mean differences with 95% confidence intervals for treatment and control comparisons. The Q-test and I2 -test were used to test for heterogeneity. The proportion of total variance across studies attributable to heterogeneity rather than chance was calculated. Overall effects were tested using the Z-test, while subgroup differences were tested using Chi-squared tests. RESULTS: Of 934 studies, 64 studies were included in the systematic review and 42 in the meta-analysis. Thirty-one MMP inhibitors were reported, three of which were included in the meta-analysis: 2% chlorhexidine (CHX), 0.3 M carbodiimide (EDC), and 0.1% riboflavin (RIBO). Pretreatment with 2% CHX for 30 and 60 seconds did not significantly improve bond strength compared with controls either immediately or after long-term ageing. However, pretreatment with 0.3 M EDC and 0.1% RIBO (but not CHX) significantly improved bond strength compared with control groups both immediately and over time. Most studies showed a medium risk of bias. CONCLUSIONS: These in vitro findings pave the way for rationale clinical trialing of dentine surface pretreatment with MMP inhibitors to improve clinical outcomes
