    Multi-reggeon compound states and resummed anomalous dimensions in QCD

    We perform the OPE analysis of the contribution of colour-singlet compound states of reggeized gluons to a generic hard process in QCD and calculate the spectrum of the corresponding higher twist anomalous dimensions in multi-colour limit. These states govern high energy asymptotics of the structure functions and their energies define the intercept of the Regge singularities both in the Pomeron and the Odderon sectors. We argue that due to nontrivial analytical properties of the energy spectrum, the twist expansion does not hold for the gluonic states with the minimal energy generating the leading Regge singularities. It is restored however after one takes into account the states with larger energies whose contribution to the Regge asymptotics is subleading.Comment: 15 pages, 2 figures.     Biomonitoring of selected persistent organic pollutants (PCDD/Fs, PCBs and PBDEs) in Finnish and Russian terrestrial and aquatic animal species

    Background: The Finnish and Russian animal species (semi-domesticated reindeer, Finnish wild moose, Baltic grey seal and Baltic herring) samples were biomonitored in terrestrial and aquatic environments for polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and polybrominated diphenylethers (PBDEs). Results: Grey seal (Halichoerus grypus) was clearly the most contaminated species. The mean PBDE concentration in grey seal was 115 ng/g fat, and the highest WHO-PCDD/F-PCB-TEQ (toxic equivalent set by WHO) was 327 pg/g fat. In Finnish, reindeer WHO-PCDD/F-TEQ varied from 0.92 pg/g fat in muscle to 90.8 pg/g fat in liver. WHO-PCDD/F-TEQ in moose liver samples was in the range of 0.7–4.26 pg/g fat, and WHO-PCB-TEQ in the range of 0.42–3.34 pg/g fat. Overall moose had clearly lower PCDD/F and DL-PCB concentrations in their liver than reindeer.     The possibilities of stimulation and complete suppression of the runaway electrons flow in the experiments at Uragan-2M setup were investigated. The flow stimulation was carried out by producing additional free charged particles during the runaway electrons flow formation. The runaway electrons flow suppression was carried out using the peripheral electrode with negative or positive potential. The supposed mechanisms of influence and possible use come into question in some fusion devices.Исследованы возможности стимулирования и подавления потока убегающих электронов в рамках экспериментов на установке Ураган-2М. Стимулирование производилось за счет добавления заряженных частиц в момент начальной стадии образования вторичных убегающих электронов. Подавление потоков убегающих электронов осуществлялось подачей на периферийный электрод отрицательных или положительных потенциалов. Обсуждаются предполагаемые механизмы воздействия и возможное использование в установках УТС.Досліджені можливості стимулювання і пригнічення потоку втікаючих електронів у рамках експериментів на установці Ураган-2М. Стимулювання робилося за рахунок додавання заряджених частинок у момент початкової стадії утворення вторинних втікаючих електронів. Пригнічення потоків втікаючих електронів здійснювалося поданням на периферійний електрод негативних або позитивних потенціалів. Обговорюються передбачувані механізми дії і можливе використання в установках КТС

    This article is an attempt to describe the essence and the stages of Canadian conservatism as an ideology, and the realization of its principles in the activity of the Brian Mulroney government in 1984-1993. The ultimate goal of this paper is to analyze the reasons for the success of the Progressive Conservative party during the general elections of 1984 and 1988, as well as to draw attention to Conservative decisions aimed at resolving the question of Quebec (the Meechlake and the Charlotettown accords), and to clarify the major directions of the party's activity to enhance its social and regional electoral base during the above mentioned period.В статье раскрываются сущность и основные этапы становления идеологии канадского консерватизма, а также реализация ее принципов на примере деятельности правительства Б. Малруни в 1984-1993 гг. Цель данного исследования состоит в том, чтобы проанализировать причины успеха Прогрессивно-консервативной партии Канады на всеобщих выборах 1984 и 1988 гг., остановиться на принятых консерваторами мерах по разрешению франко-канадского кризиса (Мичлейкское и Шарлоттаунское соглашения), обозначить направления работы партии по расширению собственной социальной и региональной базы в вышеупомянутый период

    By condensation of cycloalkanes with 2-{2-[2-(2-formylphenoxy)ethoxy] ethoxy}benzaldehyde and ammonium acetate by Petrenko-Kritchenko method first representatives of new heterocyclic systems, bis(benzo)-aza-14-crown-4 ethers containing a 7-aza-bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane or its homologous fragment, were obtained in 6-15% yield. With growing cycle of the initial cycloketone the yield of the azacrownophane considerably grew. By means of XRD analysis the molecular structure was established of four synthesized macrocycles, the relative configuration of asymmetrical atoms was determined, and the size of the internal cavities of the azacrown part was estimated. © 2008 MAIK Nauka
