「気になる子」の行動特性に関する保育者の認識 : SDQ を用いた検討

近年、保育の現場では「気になる子」の理解と支援のあり方について関心が高まっている。本研究では、保育者が「気になる子」と認識する子どもの割合や行動特性について明らかにすることを目的に、保育者による「子どもの強さと困難さアンケート」（以下、SDQ）の分析を行った。分析対象は、保育所の２歳児から５歳児クラスの子ども349人であった。その結果、保育者が挙げた「気になる子」の割合は全体で36.7％であった。SDQ より支援の必要があると判定された子どもは全体では約4割であったが、保育者が挙げた「気になる子」では約7割に上っており、保育者が「気になる子」と認識している子どもの多くは、SDQによっても支援の必要があると判定された。保育者が「気になる子」として認識する子どもの行動特性は、向社会性、多動・不注意、行為面の困難性であり、集団場面への適応という面から保育者が「気になる」と認識しやすい困難性であると考察された。Recently in the field of childcare, there has been increasing interest in understanding and supporting “children of concern.” The purpose of this study was to determine the proportion and behavioral characteristics of children recognized by childcare workers as “children of concern” using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Participants of the study were 349 children age 2-5 years old who attended nursery school. Results showed that childcare workers identified 36.7% of the children as “children of concern.” SDQ results further showed that approximately 40% of those children met the criteria for needing extra support, while childcare workers rated 70% of the children as needing extra support. Behavioral characteristics identified by the care workers for the “children of concern” were prosocial behavior, hyperactivity/inattention, and conduct problems. In group settings, it appears childcare workers may have difficulty identifying “children of concern.

保育を学ぶ学生の幼児理解 : 発達観の特徴から

本研究では、保育を学ぶ学生の幼児理解について、発達観に着目しその特徴を明らかにすることを目的に、保育を学ぶ学生75名を対象に30項目からなる「発達観チェックリスト」を実施した。その結果、発達の階層的理解については、全体の正答率は40.2％であったが、運動機能、手指操作機能の発達的把握は言語認識機能に比べ不十分な状況であることが示された。発達の機能連関性の意識については、手指操作機能と言語認識機能のつながりが比較的持ちやすい状況が推察されたが、3つの発達機能の意識に相関は認められずそれぞれ別個のものとして理解している傾向が示された。学生が幼児の発達を階層的に、また、発達諸機能をつながりのあるものとして理解していく上で課題があることが示唆された。The purpose of this study was to clarify the characteristics of childcare students\u27 understanding of children, focusing on their views on development. A “development view checklist” consisting of 30 items was implemented for 75 childcare students. The overall average correct answer rate for understanding developmental stages was 40.2%. It was shown that the developmental grasp of motor function and finger operation function was insufficient compared with the language recognition function. No correlation was observed between the three developmental functions. It is suggested that there are many issues regarding the understanding of developmental stages and the linkage of developmental functions in order for childcare students to deepen their understanding of child development
