Because of the services having the features of being human-centered, consumed when they are produced and not able to be stocked; the institutions should give more importance to the works of public relations, use the media communication intensively; maintain and improve their image they should do this permanently. The image of an institution that the companies and organizations reflect out, has a vital importance in its relations with the public. Public relations give reputation to the image of an institution. Public relations have the major responsibility in creation, protection, and consolidation of an institution's image. Under the scope of our work, it is discussed how the public relations studies; that we think it is not used intensively, affect the corporate image and especially on the necessity of public relations methods and techniques to be used by the enterprises to create a corporate image operating in service sectors. As a field research, the in-depth interview was made with the Marketing Manager of Pamukkale Tourism in the transportation sector, which is one of the leading on road public transportation companies, on to what extent they use the advantage of public relations activities on creating a corporate image. As a result of research, we reached the conclusion that Pamukkale Tourism take the advantage of social media with public relations studies, especially considering the investments they made on social media, they used the public relations methods about customer satisfaction and providing a service quality and all of these studies affect the corporate image in positive frame

Today, international competition is rapidly growing. In order to keep pace with the dynamic nature of time, companies are required to adapt new systems techniques and technologies to their structure. Especially apparel industry is stripped from the former structure of bulk production and is in an effort to form their production line according to lean manufacturing principles, due to the increasing number of orders and product diversity. On the other hand, even making the most careful plans cannot prevent the analysts to make big mistakes sometimes. Examples of these mistakes can be given as mismatch of machine capacities and allocation of insufficient space for items in queue. In this study, production time of three different products are determined by examining their production process and simulation models of these products are created by implementing statistical distribution of production times in an apparel company which is considering lean manufacturing principles. The validation of simulation models are done on the basis of total daily production statistically. Afterwards, recent models are redesigned according to lean production principles, alternative models are created and examined in SIMUL8 software. In addition, a new algorithm which allows line balancing in simulation applications is developed. “Heart Algorithm” called application tested on all models and positive feedback which increase the production per person has received

Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) causes a new type of severe acute respiratory syndrome that first appeared in Wuhan in December 2019; it is a very fast-spreading and deadly virus. Therefore, urgent discovery or development of “lead compounds” against this virus is crucial. Natural compounds have always served as a great source, especially the use of traditional medicinal plants, in modern drug discovery. This study aimed to investigate the SARS-CoV-2 protease inhibition potential of the phenolic compounds in the genus Satureja L. The affinities of the chosen natural products were understood using molecular docking simulation against the SARS-CoV-2 protease enzyme. The study proved that three different phenolic compounds namely 5,6-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-7,8-dimethoxy-4H-chromen-4-one, 2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-5,6-dihydroxy-7,8-dimethoxy-4H-chromen-4-one, and 5,6-dihydroxy-2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)-7,8-dimethoxy-4H-chromen-4-one obtained from Satureja L. taxa were found as promising against SARS-CoV-2 main protease

In this thesis a solution for modeling heterogeneous IoT applications in component oriented software engineering is provided by using software connectors. IoT is interconnected devices or humans in the means of internet which gains more importance day by day in different areas of the world. This kind of powerful and complex systems have challenges to overcome in nature. Each IoT system component has specific set of rules for communicating with the other components. In order to be able to communicate, components need to understand each other. If components are using different sets of rules for communication, these components can not understand each other, which causes the heterogeneity problem in IoT. Component oriented systems arose from the reuse paradigm. These systems include components which represent reusable building blocks. Connectors are used for connecting reusable components in component oriented systems. In this thesis, each component represents the "thing" in IoT and each connector represent a converter that connects components with different protocols for communication. By using COSECASE, we are showing that connectors offer a practical solution for the heterogeneity problem for modeling IoT systems.Thesis (M.S.) -- Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. No full text
This research is one step towards managing heterogeneity in Internet of things (IoT) field. A featuremodel based variability is represented for a pilot domain model and an example development is presented where the variability model guides software component composition. Heterogeneity is tried to be solved through variability compliant component technologies. Especially with the late developments, connectors have gained capabilities to assume the important task of integration that further magnifies the heterogeneity problem. It is aimed to demonstrate the feasibility of such an approach by offering the feel of intellectual control over an example problem
