Evaluation of oncology-related healthcare professionals' knowledge and practices on sustainable nutrition, Ankara, Turkey
Background: Increasing population, limited resources, and climate change require adopting more sustainable diets. This study aims to evaluate health professionals' knowledge levels and practices on sustainable nutrition.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted between January 2022 and May 2022 at Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Oncology Training and Research Hospital in Ankara. The research was performed by using the "Stretched Sampling Method". A semi-structured and self-reported online survey was recruited to collect data from healthcare professionals. Data from 298 participants were subjected to descriptive and univariate analyses to evaluate differences in knowledge mean scores and SCOFI scores. The data analysis results with the SPSS 26.0 program were accepted as a 95% confidence interval, with significance p≤0.05.
Result: A total of 298 people participated in the study. The mean age of respondents was 36 years (13±10.8). More than two-thirds (79.2%) were females, more than half (52%) were nurses, 20.5% were doctors, 60.4% had a bachelor's degree, % and 12.8 had a master's degree. Sustainable nutrition knowledge and SCOFI mean scores were 10.71±5.3 (0-24) and 54.09±13.2, respectively. 37.9% of the participants stated that they had heard of the concept of sustainable nutrition before. The sustainable nutrition knowledge of females was lower, and the SCOFI score was higher (P>0.05). The SCOFI score of the 18-25 age group was lower than the other age groups (P<0.05). Sustainable nutrition knowledge means scores increased as the education level increased (P<0.05). Dieticians had the highest sustainable nutrition knowledge and SCOFI score (P<0.05). The SCOFI score of those working in the surgery room and intensive care unit was lower than the other units (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Training for healthcare professionals might increase sustainable nutrition knowledge and awareness
Manufacturing Execution Systems And A Sectoral Application
Information systems have widespread usage on Manufacturing Systems. Most companies need tracking production processes with information systems to become prominent in highly competitive environment. There are some specific metrics need to be followed and important to access these datas on time and also should be reliable. These metrics include all manufacturing and quality processes. In this context; efficiency, line stoppages, malfunction and interruptions, body and supplied part trace ability informations are needed. This study MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) is the system developed for tracking production processes. MES is working from receipt of order to delivery of the product that are the essentials for the production activities to achieve real time status of all manufacturing data. In this way, all information which not manually recorded or takes long process time to record or can be tracked instantaneously and these records can be reached and analyzed in the future. The system also provides accurate data for us. In this study all phases from design to implementation of an automotive subindustry firm’s MES application designed based on integrated software process requirements are depicted. Relevant system’s integrated software will be implemented to Module Line. This study will allow tracking related product’s all process, decision making and traceability data with serial numbers.

Evaluation of Tax Incentives Provided to Renewable Energy Investments in the World
Renewable energy (REN) has become one of the most important
policy issues of the last twenty years. Various policies are currently being
implemented in 126 countries around the world to promote renewable
energies. These are; Income tax exemption, real estate tax exemption; In
sales, value adder tax (VAT), spesific excise tax (SCT), customs tax and
import tax exemption, accelerated depreciation and Researh and
Devepolment (R & D) expenditure reduction. Also, in some countries,
energy/carbon taxes are levied on fossil fuels. Renewable energy sources are
encouraged by exempting this energy tax. The method of this study is to
examine the detail of tax spesific incentives for renewable energy investments
in that countries and draw some conclusions and recommendations in this
respect.Yenilenebilir Enerji (YEN) son yirmi yılın en önemli politika
konularından biri haline gelmiştir. Dünya genelinde halen 126 ülkede
YEN’nin teşviki için çeşitli vergi teşvik politikaları uygulanmaktadır. Bunlar;
gelir vergisi istisnası, emlak vergisi muafiyeti, satışlarda; katma değer
vergisi, özel tüketim vergisi, gümrük vergisi ve ithalat vergisi istisnası,
hızlandırılmış amortisman uygulaması ve Araştırma Geliştirme (Ar-Ge)
harcamaları indirimi şeklindedir. Ayrıca bazı ülkelerde, fosil yakıtlardan
enerji/karbon vergisi alınmaktadır. YEN kaynakları ise bu vergiden muaf
tutulmak suretiyle teşvik edilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın yöntemi söz konusu
ülkelerde YEN yatırımlarına sağlanan vergi teşviklerini ayrıntılı olarak
incelemek ve bu kapsamda bir takım tespit ve değerlendirmelerde
bulunmaktır

YabancıDil öğreniminde geleneksel dilbilgisi kurallarınıtemel alan dil öğretim yöntemleri artık yerini farklı, öğrencilerin daha etkin olduğu dil öğretim yöntemlerine, tekniklerine ve stratejilerine bırakmıştır. Öğrenci artık öğrenme yollarınıdaha bilinçli kullanarak öğrenme kapasitelerini genişletmekte, bilgiyi kodlama- depolama ve çağrışım sağlayan dolaylıve dolaysız öğrenme stratejileriyle edindikleri bilgilere yenilerini ekleyerek, hedeflerine daha kolay yaklaşabilmektedirler. İkinci yabancıdil öğrenme sürecinde de öğrencilerin karşıkarşıya kalacağıen önemli sorunlardan biri sözcük öğrenimidir. Investigation of novel tumor markers based on hybridoma technology

monoclonal antibodies. In cancer research, monoclonal antibodies are used as tumor
markers for diagnosis of malignant tissue versus benign or normal, for differential
diagnosis of tumor type, for pathological grading of tumor biopsy specimens, for
detection of the antigens that are up- or down-regulated in tumor cells or in sera of
cancer patients, and for detection of primary or metastatic lesions. Additionally,
monoclonal antibodies are employed in predicting the course of the disease, in
diagnostic approaches for carrying imaging reagents to tumors, and in therapy for
targeting cytotoxic reagents to and triggering or blocking cell surface molecules. This
study involved generation of 6D5 and 9C11 monoclonal antibodies against apoptosis
induced hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HuH-7, followed by characterization
experiments. 6D5 antibody recognized 5 different epitopes in a panel of 28 cell lines in
Western blotting experiments. In immunohistochemistry studies, 6D5 demonstrated
positive staining in cirrhotic and cancerous cells of liver cancer tissue samples. On the
other hand, 9C11 antibody recognized a single band in the same panel of 28 cell lines
but it was not immunoreactive in immunoperixodase studies of liver cancer tissue

Real-time routing with priority scheduling and power adjustment in wireless sensor networks

and real-time applications require packets to reach destination on time. However,
applications may send packets with different priorities and hence delay bounds
for packets may vary significantly. Therefore packet differentiation in the network
is essential for meeting the deadline requirements. We propose a routing protocol
that supports real-time communication by utilizing transmit power adjustment in
order to meet the deadline of urgent packets and use energy efficiently. Our protocol
also provides packet scheduling and gives precedence to urgent packets. We
have conducted experiments on our sensor network testbed to observe the effects
of transmit power on end-to-end delay. As expected, increasing transmit power
increases the range and link quality, and reduces the number of hops to reach
destination. Therefore adjusting transmit power has a great effect on delivery
time and can reduce the end-to-end delay. Our protocol, Real-time Routing with
Priority Scheduling and Power Adjustment, uses different levels of transmit power
for packets with different priorities. It sends urgent packets with maximum power
to minimize end-to-end delay and lower priority packets with reduced power to
save energy and balance the load on nodes. Simulation results show that our
routing protocol increases the deadline meet ratio of packets and reduces the
transmit energy spent per packet when compared to routing protocols that use
fixed transmit power. Additionally, results indicate that our approach lessens the
interference on sensor nodes that are caused by other transmissions and helps

Bogota Bag and Negative-pressure wound therapy (NPWT) Experience in Children
Introduction: as the war that took place in Syria caused many tragedies, it also brought children with open abdominal wounds which are not very common in pediatric surgery practice. In this study, we present the results of ten children treated with BB and NPWT for open-abdomen. Material and methodsMaterials and Methods: we retrospectively reviewed the hospital records of ten children who were treated with BB and NPWT in our clinic between February 2016 and June 2018.Results: Ten of the patients had sustained firearm injuries during the war in Syria. There were four girls and six boys. The average age was 8.1 years (2-14 years). Five patients received BB in emergency conditions followed by NPWT. Five patients received NPWT only. Abdomen could be closed in all 10 patients who treated with combined BB and/or NWPT. Enteroatmospheric fistula developed in one patient and ventral hernia developed in one patient. No mortality occurred in our patients.Conclusion: BB and NPWT techniques can be applied fast and easy and have a high success rate in children with an open abdomen
KOBİ'lerde Ar-Ge ve ihracat desteği Gebze Organize Sanayi Bölgesi üzerine bir araştırma
Küçük ve Orta Boy İşletmeler (KOBİ) dünya ekonomisinde pek çok açıdan önemli bir yere sahiptirler. Türkiye'de de benzer şekilde ekonominin temel yapı taşını oluşturan KOBİ'ler sundukları esneklik, istihdama katkıları, büyük işletmeleri tamamlayıcı olmaları, krizlerden daha az düzeyde etkilenmeleri açısından etkin konumdadırlar. Günümüz dünyasında işletmelerin küresel şartlarda hayatta kalabilmesi için sürekli bir yenilik arayışı ve yarışı içerisinde olması gerekmektedir. Bu doğrultuda ekonomide büyük pay sahibi konumunda olan KOBİ'ler Araştırma Geliştirme (Ar-Ge) faaliyetlerine önem vermelidir. Çalışmanın ilk kısmında dünya ve Türkiye'de ki Ar-Ge eğilimleri ve KOBİ'lere yönelik Ar-Ge destekleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde sınırların artık soyut kavramlar olarak yer ettiği dünyada yaptığını tanıtıp, ürettiğini anlatmanın yöntemi olan ihracat kavramı üzerinde durulmuştur. KOBİ ve ihracat kavramlarından yola çıkılarak, ihracatta KOBİ'lere sağlanan desteklerden bahsedilmiştir. Ar-Ge ve İhracat destekleriyle ilgili olarak Gebze Organize Sanayi Bölgesinde bulunan KOBİ'ler üzerine alan çalışması yapılmış KOBİ'lerin Ar-Ge ve İhracat desteklerinden ne ölçüde yararlandıkları belirlenip, desteklerden faydalanan ve faydalanmayan KOBİ'ler arasındaki farklılıklar ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Small and Middle size Enterprises (SMEs) have an important place in World economy in many ways. SMEs, which are the cornerstones of the economy in Turkey, are active in respects of flexibility, contribution to employment, being complementary to big businesses and being less affected from crises. Today, businesses should be in a continuous race and search for innovation to survive in current global conditions. Accordingly, SMEs, having an important role in economy, should give importance to Research and Development (R&D) activities. In the first part of the study, R&D tendencies in the world and Turkey and R&D subsidies for SMEs are handled. In second part of the study, term of exportation, which is the method of introducing the manufactured goods and telling about them in the world where borders became abstract terms, is discussed. By dealing with terms of SME and exportation, granted financial supports to SMEs for exportation are mentioned. A fieldwork, concerning R&D and exportation subsidies, has been conducted on SMEs in Gebze Industrial Zone. It has been sought to be figured out that to what extent SMEs benefit from R&D and exportation subsidies, and differences between SMEs who benefit from financial supports and of those who don't.
