This paper is a postprint of a paper submitted to and accepted for publication in Electronics Letters and is subject to Institution of Engineering and Technology Copyright. The copy of record is available at IEEE Digital LibraryA novel approach for part-based people detection in images that uses contextual information is proposed. Two sources of context are distinguished regarding the local (neighbour) information and the relative importance of the parts in the model. Local context determines part visibility which is derived from the spatial location of static objects in the scene and from the relation between scales of analysis and detection window sizes. Experimental results over various datasets show that the proposed use of context outperforms the related state-of-the-art.This work was supported by the Spanish Government (HA-Video TEC2014-5317-R)

With an always more competitive market, entrepreneurs should fully understand the meaning of planning, because it is the most relevant stage to get a particular objective, that in theory helps break the paradigm that only large companies can establish their operations through a so-called process Strategic Planning. Such process is intended to be used in GUAGUITELS.A., mostly because it shall be useful to better understand the current status of the enterprise and the focus to be adopted. Such process shall also help understand the company troubles, new methods and strategies associated to quantifiable objectives and what follow-up indicators are to be implemented. All of it is shown in the Integral Command Chart developed by Norton and Kaplan, used to measure the current and future performance from four views: financial, growth, learning, business and customer insight, and hence obtaining the expected economic profit

Financial flows and balance sheets of households and non-financial corporations in 2020

Artículo de revistaThe Financial Accounts of the Spanish Economy show that in 2020 the developments in balance sheets and financial transactions were strongly influenced by the health, social and economic crisis and by the extraordinary economic (monetary, fiscal and financial) policy measures adopted to mitigate its effects. Against this background, unlike the previous three years, households reduced their debt in the form of bank loans, essentially owing to the sharp slowdown in consumer credit. However, given the more pronounced contraction in household income, their aggregate debt/gross disposable income (GDI) ratio rose by 2.1 percentage points (pp) to 94.8%, breaking the downward trend of the previous years. The debt-to-GDP ratio of non-financial corporations also increased (by 12.3 pp to 85%), which is explained not only by the decline in GDP but also by the considerable growth in new financing, primarily in the form of bank loans. A further relevant aspect in 2020 was the substantial rise in holdings of liquid assets by firms and households since firms built up precautionary liquidity buffers and households sharply increased their saving

Financial flows and balance sheets of households and non-financial corporations in 2017

Artículo de revistaThe Financial Accounts of the Spanish Economy reveal that the financial position of households and non-financial corporations once again strengthened in 2017. In the case of households, bank debt stood at 61% of GDP, 3 pp down on 2016 and 24 pp below its 2010 peak. As in previous years, there was a decline in loans for house purchase, which was partly offset by the increase in consumer credit and other lending. The gross financial wealth of households continued on a rising trend, as a result both of investment in financial assets and of the revaluation of financial instruments held by households. In the case of corporations, the flow of total borrowings raised, in consolidated terms, was positive – following the virtual zero amounts of the two previous years and the negative amounts of the four preceding years – of the order of a volume equivalent to 0.8% of GDP, the highest level since 2009. In terms of outstanding balances, this debt accounted in 2017 for 78% of GDP, 5 pp down on 2016 and 39 pp below the 2010 peak. Corporations’ own funds grew by 3.2%, as a result both of the raising of funds and of the revaluation of these liabilities, as has been the case since 201

Financial flows and balance sheets of households and non-financial corporations in 2021

Artículo de revistaThe Financial Accounts of the Spanish Economy show that the financial situation of households and non-financial corporations strengthened in 2021. Unlike in 2020, households increased their outstanding debt in the form of bank loans, mainly loans for house purchase, in keeping with the real estate market’s greater buoyancy. However, given that household income grew more, their debt-to-income ratio fell by 1.6 percentage points to 91.9%. This remains, however, above its 2019 level. Non-financial corporations’ debt-to-GDP ratio also fell in 2021 (by 4.3 percentage points, to 80%). This was largely due to GDP growth, as their consolidated debt increased slightly. Turning to financial asset investment decisions, households continued the trend of recent years of increasing their holdings of bank deposits and investment fund shares or units, while – in keeping with the recovery in business activity and with lower concern for liquidity risks, respectively – firms granted a higher volume of trade finance and accumulated fewer liquid assets

García, "An ontology for event detection and its application in surveillance video", in Sixth IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal Based Surveillance, AVSS 2009, p. 220 - 225In this paper, we propose an ontology for representing the prior knowledge related to video event analysis. It is composed of two types of knowledge related to the application domain and the analysis system. Domain knowledge involves all the high level semantic concepts in the context of each examined domain (objects, events, context...) whilst system knowledge involves the capabilities of the analysis system (algorithms, reactions to events...). The proposed ontology has been structured in two parts: the basic ontology (composed of the basic concepts and their specializations) and the domain-specific extensions. Additionally, a video analysis framework based on the proposed ontology is defined for the analysis of different application domains showing the potential use of the proposed ontology. In order to show the real applicability of the proposed ontology, it is specialized for the underground video-surveillance domain showing some results that demonstrate the usability and effectiveness of the proposed ontology. This work is partially supported by the Spanish Administration agency CDTI (CENIT-VISION 2007-1007), by the Spanish Government (TEC2007- 65400 SemanticVideo), by the Comunidad de Madrid (S-050/TIC- 0223 - ProMultiDis), by the Consejería de Educación of the Comunidad de Madrid and by The European Social Fun

Á. Bayona, J. C. SanMiguel, and Martínez, "Stationary foreground detection using background subtraction and temporal difference in video surveillance", in 17th IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, ICIP 2010, p. 4657 - 4660In this paper we describe a new algorithm focused on obtaining stationary foreground regions, which is useful for applications like the detection of abandoned/stolen objects and parked vehicles. Firstly, a sub-sampling scheme based on background subtraction techniques is implemented to obtain stationary foreground regions. Secondly, some modifications are introduced on this base algorithm with the purpose of reducing the amount of stationary foreground detected. Finally, we evaluate the proposed algorithm and compare results with the base algorithm using video surveillance sequences from PETS 2006, PETS 2007 and I-LIDS for AVSS 2007 datasets. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm increases the detection of stationary foreground regions as compared to the base algorithm.Work supported by the Spanish Government (TEC2007- 65400 SemanticVideo), by Cátedra Infoglobal-UAM for “Nuevas Tecnologías de video aplicadas a la seguridad”, by the Consejería de Educación of the Comunidad de Madrid and by the European Social Fund
