AbstractClassical orthogonal polynomials in two variables can be characterized as the polynomial solutions of a matrix second-order partial differential equation involving matrix polynomial coefficients. In this work, we study classical orthogonal polynomials in two variables whose partial derivatives satisfy again a second-order partial differential equation of the same type

AbstractIn this work, semiclassical orthogonal polynomials in two variables are defined as the orthogonal polynomials associated with a quasi definite linear functional satisfying a matrix Pearson-type differential equation. Semiclassical functionals are characterized by means of the analogue of the structure relation in one variable. Moreover, non trivial examples of semiclassical orthogonal polynomials in two variables are given

Spatial and temporal dynamics of nutrients during the first filling years of a Mediterranean reservoir

The spatio-temporal evolution of classical limnological variables has been studied in a Mediterranean reservoir: Rules, in the province of Granada, after its inauguration. Epistemological approach to translation and accessibility in the digital context: a taxonomy proposal

    Get PDF
Accessible Translation and Interpreting Modalities have been extensively researched by the Audiovisual Translation Studies (Díaz Cintas 2007a; Orero 2007; Álvarez de Morales et al., 2012). However, its delimitation in the digital context is still in a propaedeutic stage (Greco 2019: 19). In the following article, we study the bibliographic review (Jiménez Hurtado 2007; Tercedor et al., 2007a; Báez Montero 2010; Martínez 2015; Cabezas Gay 2017; Medina Reguera 2018) according to the last Audiovisual Modalities in Translation and Interpreting in order to delimit its epistemological location within the specific context of study, in one hand, we will define the particularities that distinguish them and, on the other hand, we will provide a proposal for a specific taxonomy that includes the verbal description, the interpretation of visual-gestural codes and the transcription and the text adaption. Its analysis and further research, considered as elements of Universal Design, is key to deepen the implementation of effective accessibility solutions for all users

Public building works in the Municipal Archives of Santa Fe: The architect Francisco Fábregas Vehil (1925-1934)

Rebuilding work in Santa Fe started during the Primo de Rivera Dictatorship, as a consequence of three municipal decisions: to build an appropriate building to house the schools; to construct a new Town Hall, and to give the town a look of modernity, given the imminent celebration of the Latin American Exhibition in Seville in 1929. The contract (for the town hall, the market and slaughterhouse, schools, paving and drainage work) was given to the firm “Técnica de Construcción, S.A” and their chief architect Francisco Fábregas Vehil, who carried out the project and supervised the building work from Seville and Barcelona, until well into the Spanish Second Republic

Characterization of New Proteomic Biomarker Candidates in Mucopolysaccharidosis Type IVA

    Get PDF
Mucopolysaccharidosis type IVA (MPS IVA) is a lysosomal storage disease caused by mutations in the N-acetylgalactosamine-6-sulfatase (GALNS) gene. Skeletal dysplasia and the related clinical features of MPS IVA are caused by disruption of the cartilage and its extracellular matrix, leading to a growth imbalance. Enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) with recombinant human GALNS has yielded positive results in activity of daily living and endurance tests. However, no data have demonstrated improvements in bone lesions and bone grow thin MPS IVA after ERT, and there is no correlation between therapeutic efficacy and urine levels of keratan sulfate, which accumulates in MPS IVA patients. Using qualitative and quantitative proteomics approaches, we analyzed leukocyte samples from healthy controls (n = 6) and from untreated (n = 5) and ERT-treated (n = 8, sampled before and after treatment) MPS IVA patients to identify potential biomarkers of disease. Out of 690 proteins identified in leukocytes, we selected a group of proteins that were dysregulated in MPS IVA patients with ERT. From these, we identified four potential protein biomarkers, all of which may influence bone and cartilage metabolism: lactotransferrin, coronin 1A, neutral alpha-glucosidase AB, and vitronectin. Further studies of cartilage and bone alterations in MPS IVA will be required to verify the validity of these proteins as potential biomarkers of MPS IVAS
