Design and analysis of an embedded secondary and tertiary distributed hierarchical control for an AC microgrid.

This project aims to develop an alternative distributed hierarchical control algorithm for a laboratory microgrid with droop control as the primary level, aiming to emulate the voltage and frequency variations of synchronous machines' inertial behaviour. The objective of the alternative control is to be able to work either in grid-connected or islanded mode without changes in the inverter control, operating always as a controllable voltage source. Moreover, it aims to unify the restoration of the voltage and power control levels to avoid undesired interactions between the two control layers. This approach will be based on consensus distributed control technique where each DER will use its local measurement and the neighbours? ones to calculate its control action

Five years of Bibliowikis (2012-2017): Open GLAM grows in catalan libraries

L’any 2012 es va iniciar a Catalunya el projecte Bibliowikis, una iniciativa d’Amical Wikimedia desplegada, de manera pionera, en el marc del Sistema Bibliotecari de Catalunya i iniciat a l’entorn del Servei de Biblioteques del Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat. Cinc anys després, l’article repassa la trajectòria del projecte, les accions més destacades i els reptes de futur. Bibliowikis ha estat un referent tant en l’àmbit nacional com internacional i en l’article es posa l’accent en el retorn que ha tingut, així com en les iniciatives d’altres països que permetran augmentar el recorregut de les accions desenvolupades a Catalunya. Bibliowikis ha constituït una oportunitat per a la professió bibliotecària de trencar barreres i prejudicis amb l’objectiu de facilitar el coneixement a la ciutadania.En 2012 se inició en Cataluña el proyecto Bibliowikis, una iniciativa de Amical Wikimedia desplegada, de forma pionera, en el marco del Sistema Bibliotecario de Cataluña e iniciado a instancias del Servicio de Bibliotecas delDepartamento de Cultura de la Generalitat. Bibliowikis ha sido un referente tanto a nivel nacional como internacional y en el artículo se hace hincapié en el retorno que se ha observado, así como en las iniciativas de otros países que permitirán aumentar el recorrido de las acciones desarrolladas en Cataluña. Bibliowikis ha constituido una oportunidad para la profesión bibliotecaria de romper barreras y prejuicios con el objetivo de facilitar el conocimiento a la ciudadanía.The Bibliowikis project was started in 2012 in Catalonia, run by an initiative of Amical Wikimedia deployed, for pioneering within the Library System of Catalonia and started around the Library Service of the Culture Department ofthe Autonomous Government in Catalonia, the Generalitat. Five years later,  the article reviews the history of the project, shares outstanding and future challenges. Bibliowikis has been a leader both nationally and internationally. The article emphasizes the return they had, as well as the efforts of other countries that will increase the distance of the actions carried out in Catalonia. Bibliowikis has created an opportunity for the library profession to break down barriers and prejudices in order to facilitate knowledge to the public

Malauradament, la idea amb què la majoria de gent es queda sobre aquesta qüestió és que, un dia, un home grec molt antic que es deia Homer decideix escriure aquests poemes amb una finalitat lúdica, tal i com el gruix de la literatura dels nostres dies està pensada. I amb dificultats podria tractar-se d’una idea més errònia. Ara, però, deixem de banda aquesta concepció sobre el poeta de Quios i centrem-nos, més aviat, en la finalitat dels poemes homèrics..

Apostles' Gate of the Seu Vella de Lleida: protocolization for the anastylosis of the sculptural ensemble and the restitution of the iconographic reading.

[ES] El següent projecte pretén exposar la problemàtica de la pèrdua de dignitat formal de la Porta dels Apòstols de la Seu Vella de Lleida, per tal d¿abordar una metodologia fidel i objectiva destinada a la restitució de l¿apostolat petri obra de Jaume Cascalls, Rotllí Gaulter, Jordi Safont i Claudi Perret, a partir dels fragments conservats i la documentació historiogràfica coneguda fins l¿actualitat. El maridatge d¿arquitectura i escultura genera conjunts monumentals dotats de coherència narrativa i formal. La manca o deteriorament de qualsevol d¿ambdós elements complementaris impacta profundament en la seva concepció. Aquesta afirmació pren especial rellevància en les portalades d¿edificis preeminents, en que l¿ostentació ornamental esdevé paradigmàtica dels diferents períodes artístics, els valors imperants i la complexitat tècnica assolida. Bona part de les estructures disposen d¿un ric programa iconogràfic, de lectura obligada per a una correcta contextualització dels usos i significança de les construccions on hi donen accés. La proposta d¿intervenció serà exemplificada amb algunes de les imatges dels apòstols, a partir de les quals seria factible extrapolar les consideracions prèvies, els passos a seguir, els recursos necessaris i el cost econòmic que implicaria la recuperació de la resta de l¿apostolat. Tot plegat, des d¿una perspectiva permeable envers les noves sensibilitats i disrupcions dels preceptes tradicionals de la conservació i la restauració. ----- El siguiente proyecto pretende exponer la problemática de la pérdida de dignidad formal de la Puerta de los Apóstoles de la Seu Vella de Lleida, con tal de abordar una metodología fiel y objetiva destinada a la restitución del apostolado pétreo obra de Jaume Cascalls, Rotllí Gaulter, Jordi Safont i Claudi Perret, a partir de los fragmentos conservados y la documentación historiográfica conocida hasta la actualidad. El maridaje de arquitectura y escultura genera conjuntos monumentales dotados de coherencia narrativa y formal. La falta o deterioración de cualquiera de ambos elementos complementarios incide profundamente en su concepción. Esta afirmación cobra especial relevancia en las portaladas de edificios preeminentes, en que la ostentación ornamental se evidencia paradigmática de los distintos periodos artísticos, los valores imperantes y la complejidad técnica alcanzada. Buena parte de las estructuras poseen un rico programa iconográfico, de lectura obligada para una correcta contextualización de los usos y significados de las construcciones donde dan acceso. La propuesta de intervención será ejemplificada con algunas de las imágenes de los apóstoles, a partir de las cuales sería factible extrapolar las consideraciones previas, los pasos a seguir, los recursos necesarios y el coste económico que implicaría la recuperación del resto del apostolado. Todo ello, des de una perspectiva permeable hacia las nuevas sensibilidades y disrupciones de los preceptos tradicionales de la conservación y la restauración.[EN] The following project aims to expose the problem of the loss of formal dignity of the Apostles Gate from Lleida¿s Seu Vella, in order to address a truthful and objective methodology to restore the petrous apostolate by Jaume Cascalls, Rotllí Gaulter, Jordi Safont and Claudi Perret, from the preserved fragments and the historiographical documentation known to this day. The combination of architecture and sculpture generates monuments endowed with narrative and formal coherence. The lack or deterioration of either of both complementary elements implies a deep effect on its conception. This statement acquires special relevance in the portals of preeminent buildings, in which the ornamental ostentation is a paradigmatic evidence of the different artistic periods, the prevailing values and the technical complexity reached. Many of those structures have a rich iconographic narrative, a must-read for a correct contextualization of the uses and meanings of the buildings where they give access. The proposed intervention will be exemplified with some of the images of the apostles, from which it would be feasible to extrapolate the previous considerations, the steps to follow, the necessary resources and the economic cost that would involve the recovery of the rest of the apostolate. Collaboration strategies and technological innovation : a contractual perspective of the relationship between firms and techonological centers

In this paper, a theoretical framework for analyzing the selection of governance structures for implementing collaboration agreements between firms and Technological Centers is presented and empirically discussed. This framework includes Transaction Costs and Property Rights' theoretical assumptions, though complemented with several proposals coming from the Transactional Value Theory. This last theory is used for adding some dynamism in the governance structure selection. As empirical evidence of this theoretical explanation, we analyse four real experiences of collaboration between firms and one Technological Center. These experiences are aimed to represent the typology of relationships which Technological Centers usually face. Among others, a key interesting result is obtained: R&D collaboration activities do not need to always be organized through hierarchical solutions. In those cases where future expected benefits and/or reputation issues could play an important role, the traditional more static theories could not fully explain the selected governance structure for managing the R&D relationship. As a consequence, these results justify further research about the adequacy of the theoretical framework presented in this paper in other contexts, for example, R&D collaborations between firms and/or between Universities or Public Research Centers and firms
