Customer convenience in Excelso Cafe DP Mall in Semarang are still not fully realized because of the facilities that still does not meet ergonomic criteria that the customer used the cafe table. Ergonomics of a product or work facilities that will be used / operated by humans is extremely important in order to meet the criteria for an effective, comfortable, safe, healthy and efficient (ENASE). Excelso cafe table on ergonomic yet due to high base aligned with the table so quickly cause physical fatigue on the user / customer. In addition, extensive desk duty felt less comfortable because it has a dimension of size L x W x H = 50 cm x 50 cm x 45 cm. So the customer feel less free when using the table. The application of ergonomic design is an activity or facility in making the product more convenient to use. The design was done by determining the size of the human body dimensions. One method that can be used to determine the size of the dimensions of the human body is due to an anthropometric studies related to the measurement of the dimensions of every human body. Anthropometric methods are applied in measuring the dimensions of the body's activities are aimed at a table for customers Excelso Cafe DP Mall in Semarang. Meanwhile, to determine the level of comfort on the table produced, performed deployment questionnaire where the results will be tested its validity by conducting validity and reliability. Based on the data obtained from the results of research in Excelso Cafe DP Mall in Semarang for the ergonomic design of the cafe tables in order to improve customer convenience size calculation results obtained in a more ergonomic table desk is 71 cm long, 71 cm wide table and table height 72 cm

Interference of Higgs boson resonances in mu^+ mu^- -> neutralino_i neutralino_j with longitudinal beam polarization

We study the interference of resonant Higgs boson exchange in neutralino production in \mu^+ \mu^- annihilation with longitudinally polarized beams. We use the energy distribution of the decay lepton in the process \neutralino_j \to \ell^\pm \slepton^\mp to determine the polarization of the neutralinos. In the CP conserving Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model a non-vanishing asymmetry in the lepton energy spectrum is caused by the interference of Higgs boson exchange channels with different CP eigenvalues. The contribution of this interference is large if the heavy neutral bosons H and A are nearly degenerate. We show that the asymmetry can be used to determine the couplings of the neutral Higgs bosons to the neutralinos. In particular, the asymmetry allows to determine the relative phase of the couplings. We find large asymmetries and cross sections for a set of reference scenarios with nearly degenerate neutral Higgs bosons.Comment: 20 pages, 6 figures, minor typos corrected, to appear in Eur. Phys. Experimental and numerical investigation of post-tensioned concrete flat slabs in fire

    Get PDF
Purpose This paper aims to understand the structural fire performance of two-way post-tensioned flat slabs, particularly their deformations and load-carrying mechanisms in fire, and to explore the behaviour of post-tensioned high-strength self-compacting concrete flat slabs with unbonded tendons in fire. Design/methodology/approach Four tests of post-tensioned high-strength self-compacting concrete flat slabs were conducted under fire conditions. Numerical modelling using the commercial package ABAQUS was conducted to help interpret the test results. Findings Two of the specimens with lower moisture contents demonstrated excellent fire resistance performance, while the others with slightly higher moisture contents experienced severe concrete spalling. Originality/value The test results were discussed in respect of thermal profiles, deflections, crack patterns and concrete spalling. The performance of post-tensioned high-strength self-compacting concrete flat slabs with unbonded tendons under fire conditions was better understood.postprin

Amicable pairs and aliquot cycles for elliptic curves

An amicable pair for an elliptic curve E/Q is a pair of primes (p,q) of good reduction for E satisfying #E(F_p) = q and #E(F_q) = p. In this paper we study elliptic amicable pairs and analogously defined longer elliptic aliquot cycles. We show that there exist elliptic curves with arbitrarily long aliqout cycles, but that CM elliptic curves (with j not 0) have no aliqout cycles of length greater than two. We give conjectural formulas for the frequency of amicable pairs. For CM curves, the derivation of precise conjectural formulas involves a detailed analysis of the values of the Grossencharacter evaluated at a prime ideal P in End(E) having the property that #E(F_P) is prime. This is especially intricate for the family of curves with j = 0.Comment: 53 page

Googling the brain: discovering hierarchical and asymmetric network structures, with applications in neuroscience

    Get PDF
Hierarchical organisation is a common feature of many directed networks arising in nature and technology. For example, a well-defined message-passing framework based on managerial status typically exists in a business organisation. However, in many real-world networks such patterns of hierarchy are unlikely to be quite so transparent. Due to the nature in which empirical data is collated the nodes will often be ordered so as to obscure any underlying structure. In addition, the possibility of even a small number of links violating any overall “chain of command” makes the determination of such structures extremely challenging. Here we address the issue of how to reorder a directed network in order to reveal this type of hierarchy. In doing so we also look at the task of quantifying the level of hierarchy, given a particular node ordering. We look at a variety of approaches. Using ideas from the graph Laplacian literature, we show that a relevant discrete optimization problem leads to a natural hierarchical node ranking. We also show that this ranking arises via a maximum likelihood problem associated with a new range-dependent hierarchical random graph model. This random graph insight allows us to compute a likelihood ratio that quantifies the overall tendency for a given network to be hierarchical. We also develop a generalization of this node ordering algorithm based on the combinatorics of directed walks. In passing, we note that Google’s PageRank algorithm tackles a closely related problem, and may also be motivated from a combinatoric, walk-counting viewpoint. We illustrate the performance of the resulting algorithms on synthetic network data, and on a real-world network from neuroscience where results may be validated biologically

Automatic definition extraction using parser combinators

    Get PDF
The automatic extraction of definitions from natural language texts has various applications such as the creation of glossaries and question-answering systems. In this paper we look at the extraction of definitions from non-technical texts using parser combinators in Haskell. We argue that this approach gives a general and compositional way of characterising natural language definitions. The parsers we develop are shown to be highly effective in the identification of definitions. Furthermore, we show how we can also automatically transform these parsers into other formats to be readily available for use within an eLearning system.peer-reviewe
