Delivering Biophilic Urbanism: Tools and Strategies for Implementation

Global interest in biophilic urbanism and design is growing and a number of cities around the world are working towards becoming more biophilic. This thesis is designed to support that process through the evaluation of potential strategies and tools for the efficient and financially-viable delivery of biophilic urbanism. Physical education in Palestinian public schools under occupation

274 p.Physical education in Palestine is the almost perfect place for the Palestinian students to unload their energies, satisfy their desires and practice their hobbies, affecting the motor, social, psychological, intelligence, and health conduct of students and their ability to make decisions, feel themselves and belong to the community in which they are located according to certain education guidelines, which can be explicit or hidden.The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the goals of the pedagogical approach within the Palestinian resolution by decree No. (8) Of 6/4/2017; followed by Palestinian public schools and the motor tasks that have been practiced in Physical education sessions.We collected 2,213 motor tasks performed by Palestinian public school students for grades five to 12 during 300 physical sessions with 540,000 seconds for the school year 2018/2019. From the perspective of motor praxeology, we described and analyzed internal logic or body techniques give rise to it, the external logic or the pedagogical and social use given to them, and the links between both logics. In addition, we adopted the ethno-motricity method concerning time, space, relationships, and materials.The results show that Palestinian schools follow a pedagogical approach in the education Law in certain aspects to develop students to be good citizens, maintain social relations, to be educated to be committed to their religion, to be healthy, to maintain public property, use materials when necessary, and to be careful of security and safety, whether with themselves or with their community, and neglected the interest to have money, jobs, and social intelligence, motor intelligence, prediction, decision-making, and competition for success. Because it was affected by the Palestinian society and the difference between traditional life and modern life due to the impact of the occupation on the components of society

Research Advances for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage

Because European Cultural Heritage is an invaluable legacy, the Ministry for Science and Innovation funded the Spanish Network on Science and Technology for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage (TechnoHeritage), which began its activities in March 2011.Currently seventy five groups participate in the Network, including Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and Spanish universities teams, cultural institutions, foundations and museums, and private companies. One of the activities of the Network is the organization of annual meetings. This International Congress—organised on behalf of TechnoHeritage by the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela— has a goal of creating an interdisciplinary forum for discussion on all aspects of cultural heritage conservation while providing an up-to-date and comprehensive picture of the state-of-the-art investigations in this field

III Congreso EuroSoTL: Explorando nuevos campos a través de un enfoque académico de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje, 13-14 de junio de 2019, Bilbao, País Vasco

1185 p.EuroSoTL, el Congreso Europeo de Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, o Enfoque académico de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje, está organizado en colaboración con el grupo europeo de la International Society for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning -ISSOTL- y la Red Estatatal de Docencia Universitaria -RED-U-. El congreso se celebró en el Bizkaia Aretoa de Bilbao (País Vasco) los días 13 y 14 de junio de 2019. 6th European Conference on Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Architecture and Planning

[ES]Esta obra recoge las comunicaciones seleccionadas para el 6º Congreso Europeo sobre Eficiencia Energética y Sostenibilidad en Arquitectura, organizado por el grupo de investigación Calidad de Vida en Arquitectura de la Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. El congreso, que se celebra en el marco de los XXXIV Cursos de Verano de la UPV/EHU, aborda en esta cuarta edición el tema “Ciudades en riesgo: resiliencia y redundancia”. Alrededor de este tema general se desarrollan cinco ponencias magistrales, a cargo de Margaretha Breil (Centro Euro-Mediterráneo para el Cambio Climático), Cristina Garzillo Leemhuis (ICLEI), Ignasi Fontanals (OptiCits), Juan Carlos Barrios Montenegro (Global Action Plan) y Manuel Valdés López (Ajuntament de Barcelona).
