    Get PDF
The demand for cybersecurity is growing to safeguard information flow and enhance data privacy. This essay suggests a novel authenticated public key elliptic curve based on a deep convolutional neural network (APK-EC-DCNN) for cybersecurity image encryption application. The public key elliptic curve discrete logarithmic problem (EC-DLP) is used for elliptic curve Diffie–Hellman key exchange (EC-DHKE) in order to generate a shared session key, which is used as the chaotic system’s beginning conditions and control parameters. In addition, the authenticity and confidentiality can be archived based on ECC to share the (Formula presented.) parameters between two parties by using the EC-DHKE algorithm. Moreover, the 3D Quantum Chaotic Logistic Map (3D QCLM) has an extremely chaotic behavior of the bifurcation diagram and high Lyapunov exponent, which can be used in high-level security. In addition, in order to achieve the authentication property, the secure hash function uses the output sequence of the DCNN and the output sequence of the 3D QCLM in the proposed authenticated expansion diffusion matrix (AEDM). Finally, partial frequency domain encryption (PFDE) technique is achieved by using the discrete wavelet transform in order to satisfy the robustness and fast encryption process. Simulation results and security analysis demonstrate that the proposed encryption algorithm achieved the performance of the state-of-the-art techniques in terms of quality, security, and robustness against noise- and signal-processing attacks

Programa de Doctorado en Biotecnología, Ingeniería y Tecnología QuímicaLínea de Investigación: Ingeniería, Ciencia de Datos y BioinformáticaClave Programa: DBICódigo Línea: 111Machine learning techniques have become one of the most demanded resources by companies due to the large volume of data that surrounds us in these days. The main objective of these technologies is to solve complex problems in an automated way using data. One of the current perspectives of machine learning is the analysis of continuous flows of data or data streaming. This approach is increasingly requested by enterprises as a result of the large number of information sources producing time-indexed data at high frequency, such as sensors, Internet of Things devices, social networks, etc. However, nowadays, research is more focused on the study of historical data than on data received in streaming. One of the main reasons for this is the enormous challenge that this type of data presents for the modeling of machine learning algorithms. This Doctoral Thesis is presented in the form of a compendium of publications with a total of 10 scientific contributions in International Conferences and journals with high impact index in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR). The research developed during the PhD Program focuses on the study and analysis of real-time or streaming data through the development of new machine learning algorithms. Machine learning algorithms for real-time data consist of a different type of modeling than the traditional one, where the model is updated online to provide accurate responses in the shortest possible time. The main objective of this Doctoral Thesis is the contribution of research value to the scientific community through three new machine learning algorithms. These algorithms are big data techniques and two of them work with online or streaming data. In this way, contributions are made to the development of one of the current trends in Artificial Intelligence. With this purpose, algorithms are developed for descriptive and predictive tasks, i.e., unsupervised and supervised learning, respectively. Their common idea is the discovery of patterns in the data. The first technique developed during the dissertation is a triclustering algorithm to produce three-dimensional data clusters in offline or batch mode. This big data algorithm is called bigTriGen. In a general way, an evolutionary metaheuristic is used to search for groups of data with similar patterns. The model uses genetic operators such as selection, crossover, mutation or evaluation operators at each iteration. The goal of the bigTriGen is to optimize the evaluation function to achieve triclusters of the highest possible quality. It is used as the basis for the second technique implemented during the Doctoral Thesis. The second algorithm focuses on the creation of groups over three-dimensional data received in real-time or in streaming. It is called STriGen. Streaming modeling is carried out starting from an offline or batch model using historical data. As soon as this model is created, it starts receiving data in real-time. The model is updated in an online or streaming manner to adapt to new streaming patterns. In this way, the STriGen is able to detect concept drifts and incorporate them into the model as quickly as possible, thus producing triclusters in real-time and of good quality. The last algorithm developed in this dissertation follows a supervised learning approach for time series forecasting in real-time. It is called StreamWNN. A model is created with historical data based on the k-nearest neighbor or KNN algorithm. Once the model is created, data starts to be received in real-time. The algorithm provides real-time predictions of future data, keeping the model always updated in an incremental way and incorporating streaming patterns identified as novelties. The StreamWNN also identifies anomalous data in real-time allowing this feature to be used as a security measure during its application. The developed algorithms have been evaluated with real data from devices and sensors. These new techniques have demonstrated to be very useful, providing meaningful triclusters and accurate predictions in real time.Universidad Pablo de Olavide de Sevilla. This article presents non-invasive sensing-based diagnoses of pneumonia disease, exploiting a deep learning model to make the technique non-invasive coupled with security preservation. Sensing and securing healthcare and medical images such as X-rays that can be used to diagnose viral diseases such as pneumonia is a challenging task for researchers. In the past few years, patients’ medical records have been shared using various wireless technologies. The wireless transmitted data are prone to attacks, resulting in the misuse of patients’ medical records. Therefore, it is important to secure medical data, which are in the form of images. The proposed work is divided into two sections: in the first section, primary data in the form of images are encrypted using the proposed technique based on chaos and convolution neural network. Furthermore, multiple chaotic maps are incorporated to create a random number generator, and the generated random sequence is used for pixel permutation and substitution. In the second part of the proposed work, a new technique for pneumonia diagnosis using deep learning, in which X-ray images are used as a dataset, is proposed. Several physiological features such as cough, fever, chest pain, flu, low energy, sweating, shaking, chills, shortness of breath, fatigue, loss of appetite, and headache and statistical features such as entropy, correlation, contrast dissimilarity, etc., are extracted from the X-ray images for the pneumonia diagnosis. Moreover, machine learning algorithms such as support vector machines, decision trees, random forests, and naive Bayes are also implemented for the proposed model and compared with the proposed CNN-based model. Furthermore, to improve the CNN-based proposed model, transfer learning and fine tuning are also incorporated. It is found that CNN performs better than other machine learning algorithms as the accuracy of the proposed work when using naive Bayes and CNN is 89% and 97%, respectively, which is also greater than the average accuracy of the existing schemes, which is 90%. Further, K-fold analysis and voting techniques are also incorporated to improve the accuracy of the proposed model. Different metrics such as entropy, correlation, contrast, and energy are used to gauge the performance of the proposed encryption technology, while precision, recall, F1 score, and support are used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed machine learning-based model for pneumonia diagnosis. The entropy and correlation of the proposed work are 7.999 and 0.0001, respectively, which reflects that the proposed encryption algorithm offers a higher security of the digital data. Moreover, a detailed comparison with the existing work is also made and reveals that both the proposed models work better than the existing work

    AI Applications to Power Systems

Today, the flow of electricity is bidirectional, and not all electricity is centrally produced in large power plants. With the growing emergence of prosumers and microgrids, the amount of electricity produced by sources other than large, traditional power plants is ever-increasing. These alternative sources include photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine (WT), geothermal, and biomass renewable generation plants. Some renewable energy resources (solar PV and wind turbine generation) are highly dependent on natural processes and parameters (wind speed, wind direction, temperature, solar irradiation, humidity, etc.). Thus, the outputs are so stochastic in nature. New data-science-inspired real-time solutions are needed in order to co-develop digital twins of large intermittent renewable plants whose services can be globally delivered
