    Gri İlişkisel Analizi ile Bütünleştirilmiş Hata Türü ve Etkileri Analizi Yaklaşımı İçin Bir Uygulama

    DergiPark: 289265tujesAlthough the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a systematic method of analysis, it has some shortcomings and limitations since it is a method based on intuitionistic and subjective statements of the person that rate the failure modes. In order to eliminate these constraints, the use of the method in conjunction with the grey relational analysis, which is one of the multi criteria decision making methods, helps to eliminate intuitionistic situations and prioritize the failure modes that need corrections and precautions.The classical FMEA and the FMEA integrated with the grey relational analysis approaches were applied, and their effectiveness was assessed in this study to identify and prioritize the failures and determine the measures to be taken in the wheat sieving machine production. For this purpose, first the Risk Priority Numbers (RPN) were calculated using the classical failure mode and effects analysis, then two separate grey RPNs were calculated on the assumptions that risk factors have either equal weight or different weight in the grey relational analysis-integrated FMEA approach, and the prioritization of the failures was performed. Three different RPN values obtained in the study were compared, and the priority optimizations to be made were recommended in order to prevent failures before reaching the customers as well as drawing the necessary conclusions accordingly.Hata Türü ve Etkileri Analizi (HTEA) sistematik bir analiz yöntemi de olsa hata türlerini değerlendiren kişilerin sübjektif ifadelerine dayanması sebebiyle aynı zamanda sezgisel de bir yöntemdir. Sezgilere dayanması ise uygulamada bazı eksikliklere ve kısıtlamalara yol açmaktadır. Bu problemleri ortadan kaldırabilmek için yöntemi çok kriterli karar verme yöntemlerinden biri olan gri ilişkisel analizi ile birlikte kullanmak, sezgisel durumları ortadan kaldırarak önlem alınmasını ve düzeltilmesi gereken hata türlerinin önceliklendirilmesini sağlamaktadır.Bu çalışmada buğday eleme makinesi üretimindeki hataların tespit edilerek önceliklendirilmesi ve alınacak önlemlerin belirlenmesi için klasik HTEA ve gri ilişkisel analizi ile bütünleştirilmiş HTEA yaklaşımları uygulanarak yaklaşımların etkinliği değerlendirilmiştir. Bunun için ilk önce klasik HTEA ile Risk Öncelik Sayıları (RÖS) daha sonra ise gri ilişkisel analizi ile bütünleştirilmiş HTEA yaklaşımıyla risk faktörlerinin hem eşit ağırlığa hem de farklı ağırlıklara sahip olduğu varsayımıyla iki ayrı gri RÖS hesaplanarak hataların önceliklendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda elde edilen üç ayrı RÖS değerleri karşılaştırılmış ve buna göre hataların müşteriye ulaşmaması için öncelikle yapılması gereken iyileştirmeler önerilmiş ve gerekli değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır

    A biologically inspired network design model

    A network design problem is to select a subset of links in a transport network that satisfy passengers or cargo transportation demands while minimizing the overall costs of the transportation. We propose a mathematical model of the foraging behaviour of slime mould P. polycephalum to solve the network design problem and construct optimal transport networks. In our algorithm, a traffic flow between any two cities is estimated using a gravity model. The flow is imitated by the model of the slime mould. The algorithm model converges to a steady state, which represents a solution of the problem. We validate our approach on examples of major transport networks in Mexico and China. By comparing networks developed in our approach with the man-made highways, networks developed by the slime mould, and a cellular automata model inspired by slime mould, we demonstrate the flexibility and efficiency of our approach

    Sorting subcontractors’ activities in construction projects with a novel Additive-veto sorting approach

    Selection processes in civil engineering infrastructure projects might require more time and effort than the decisionmakers involved in these projects are normally prepared to devote to running them. A novel approach is proposed to sort these activities into classes that represent their impact on the project, namely additive-veto sorting model, which should be considered before any bidding procedure. Therefore, problems regarding the client’s satisfaction caused by subcontractors can be avoided, and the decision-makers involved in the selection problem can devote to each class an effort compatible with the impact that activity might have on the project. The novelty of this method is that it was built to reflect the quasi-compensatory rationality of decision-makers in the construction industry; it provides them with insights on subcontractors’ activities, and it is grounded on and inspired by a real case study. The new parameters proposed within this model introduce the idea of vetoing an activity being assigned to a class when this activity is incompatible with the decision-maker’s preferences. By using this novel method, the authors succeeded in finding results that avoided a complete compensation amongst the factors considered, taking into account ranges that would be of significant importance in the decision process

    Training Higher School Students in Rapid Prototyping Technology as a Final Stage of Their Preparation for Innovative Activities

    Introduction. The methodological systems of preparation for innovative engineering activity involve the involvement of students in all stages of the innovation cycle, including obtaining an intangible innovative product. However, the inability to obtain in students a material innovative product reduces the effectiveness of the preparation of these systems. The purpose of this study is to create a methodical system for preparing students for innovative research activities based on their involvement in all stages of obtaining a material innovative product using additive technologies. Materials and Methods. For writing the article the authors used the main points of the integrated approach to learning (integration of theoretical and practical training of innovative research activities and interdisciplinary integration of various branches of science (pedagogy, mathematical modeling, 3D modeling, additive technologies, innovation). Results. The methodical system of training students of technical higher education institution has been created and implemented, ensuring their involvement in all stages of the innovation cycle due to the use of rapid prototyping technologies. The effectiveness of technologies is confirmed by the results of the pedagogical experiment. Discussion and Conclusions. The performed researches allowed to create a methodical system for training students of technical universities of innovative research activities based on rapid prototyping technologies. This method significantly improves the effectiveness of training. It ensures the participation of students in all stages of obtaining a material innovative product: during the study of the course, and during classroom sessions. This method was developed and tested for the implementation at National Research Ogarev Mordovia State University. It provides the practical significance of the study considered in the article. Further development of the material presented in the article can be related to the expansion of the infrastructure of the Rapid Pro university center for designing and prototyping and attracting students to manufacturing industrial products

    Supply Chain Performance Appraisement and Benchmarking for Manufacturing Industries: Emphasis on Traditional, Green, Flexible and Resilient Supply Chain along with Supplier Selection

    Supply chain represents a network of interconnected activities starting from raw material extraction to delivery of the finished product to the end-user. The main constituents of supply chain are supplying/purchasing, inbound logistics, manufacturing, outbound logistics, marketing and sales. In recent times, the traditional supply chain construct is being modified to embrace various challenges of present business needs. Today’s global market has become highly volatile; customers’ expectations are ever-changing. Fierce competition amongst business sectors necessitates adapting modern supply chain management philosophies. Agility, greenness, flexibility as well as resilience have become the key success factors in satisfying global business needs. In order to remain competitive in the turbulent marketplace, industries should focus on improving overall performance of the supply chain network. In this dissertation, supply chain performance assessment has been considered as a decision making problem involving various measures and metrics (performance indicators). Since most of the performance indices are subjective in nature; decisionmaking relies on active participation of a group of decision-makers (DMs). Subjective human judgment often bears some sort of ambiguity as well as vagueness in the decision making; to overcome uncertainty in decision making, adaptation of grey/fuzzy set theory seems to be fruitful. To this end, present work deals with a variety of decision support tools to facilitate supply chain performance appraisement as well as benchmarking in fuzzy/grey context. Starting from the traditional supply chain, this work extends appraisement and benchmarking of green supply chain performance for a set of candidate case companies (under the same industry) operating under similar supply chain construct. Exploration of grey-MOORA, fuzzy-MOORA, IVFN-TOPSIS, fuzzy-grey relation method has been illustrated in this part of work. Apart from aforementioned empirical studies, two real case studies have been reported in order to estimate a quantitative performance metric reflecting the extent of supply chain flexibility and resilience, respectively, in relation to the case company under consideration. Performance benchmarking helps in identifying best practices in perspectives of supply chain networking; it can easily be transmitted to other industries. Organizations can follow their peers in order to improve overall performance of the supply chain. vi Supplier selection is considered as an important aspect in supply chain management. Effective supplier selection must be a key strategic consideration towards improving supply chain performance. However, the task of supplier selection seems difficult due to subjectivity of supplier performance indices. Apart from considering traditional supplier selection criteria (cost, quality and service); global business scenario encourages emphasizing various issues like environmental performance (green concerns), resiliency etc. into evaluation and selection of an appropriate supplier. In this context, the present work also attempts to explore fuzzy based decision support systems towards evaluation and selection of potential suppliers in green supply chain as well as resilient supply chain, respectively. Fuzzy based Multi-Level Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MLMCDM) approach, fuzzy-TOPSIS and fuzzy-VIKOR have been utilized to facilitate the said decision making
