Today's technology has developed rapidly. This can be seen from the many uses of technology in everyday human life. PT Sri Indah Mandiri is a company that has been established since 1997 which is engaged in manufacturing to provide building materials. So far, the administrative recording process for the presence of PT Sri Indah Mandiri still relies on the application of Ms. Excel and printed documents resulting in an increasing number of accumulations of attendance data and searching for data takes quite a long time. In addition, the calculation of overtime is still done manually, so it often causes errors in the process of calculating employee overtime. This study aims to design a staffing information system at PT Sri Indah Mandiri to improve and facilitate the process of recording attendance at PT Sri Indah Mandiri. The system development method used is the Agile Scrum SDLC method. The results of the system design show that the system improves and facilitates the process of recording attendance so that it can make PT Sri Indah Mandiri operate more effectively and efficiently in its business activities

In today's era, human daily activities cannot be separated from the use of technology. One of them is business activities. PT Dharma Sentosa Marindo is a company engaged in the shipyard industry. So far, the attendance administration records at PT Dharma Sentosa Marindo still use paper media which are then processed and stored on a computer manually. This makes the attendance process slower and less accurate, causing delays in generating attendance reports. This study aims to design an attendance information system at PT Dharma Sentosa Marindo to increase the speed and accuracy of recording attendance administration at PT Dharma Sentosa Marindo. The system design method uses the scrum method which uses the principles of agile development methodology. The results of system testing using the blackbox testing method show that the designed system has run smoothly and as expecte

With the entry into the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0, the development of digitization of various aspects at the village level began. The level of use of mobile devices in the commercial transactions of society is now a massive number of users. It happens not only in large transactions but also in small transactions. With the community's high interest in the use of smartphone devices, this is a different opportunity to explore the potential of each village by helping the community, tiny and medium enterprises in conducting transactions, sales, and marketing online through the village government website. The village information system itself requires an e-commerce feature on its page to help small and medium enterprises in the area to sell products online through a simple page display. This research aims to design and develop new features of the village system that plays a role in the field of e-commerce with the Direct Message transaction method. The system development methodology used is Agile with Scrum as a framework. The Agile Model is a short-term development model that requires rapid adaptation and development to changes in any form. This e-commerce feature is for local communities, especially Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, so their products' marketing reach is even more outstanding while being recorded in the village system

ABSTRACT   In today's rapidly developing technology era, the use of technology is already familiar. Today's human life cannot be separated from the use of technology. PT Sri Indah Mandiri is one of the distributors of building materials on the island of Batam, which provides various kinds of building materials. So far, orders for building materials have been made verbally, namely by telephone or when buyers come directly to the office to place orders. Currently, orders made verbally via telephone often result in miscommunication. When this happens, PT Sri Indah Mandiri as the seller, must resend the goods according to the buyer's order, causing the buyer to be slow in getting the materials he needs, which can disrupt the smooth running of their work. This study aims to design a customer order project information system to improve accuracy and reduce the time to order building materials for PT Sri Indah Mandiri. The system design method used is an agile method with the scrum model. The results of the study show that the designed system can eliminate miscommunication and reduce the time needed to order goods so as to increase the operational efficiency and effectiveness of PT Sri Indah Mandiri. &nbsp

Prediction of a Sprint Deliverys Capabilities in Iterative-based Software Development

    Get PDF
Iterative-based software development has been frequently implemented in working environment. A modern era software project demands that the product is delivered on every sprint development. Hence, the execution of a sprint requires ample supervision and capabilities to deliver a high quality product at the end of the software project development. This researchs purpose is to give support for a software projects supervisor or owner in predicting the end products capability by knowing the performance level of each sprint. The method proposed for this purpose is to build a prediction model utilizing a number of features in a form of characteristics from a dataset containing software project iterations. The proposed model is built using Random Forest Regressor as a main method, with KNN (K-Nearest Neighbors) and Decision Tree Regressor being the comparison methods. Testing results show that compared to KNN and Decision Tree, Random Forest Regressor yields the best performance through its steady results on every stage progression of all tested software projects

The study of software engineering professional practices includes the use of the formal methodology in a software development. Identifying the appropriate methodology will not only reduce the failure of software but will also help to deliver the software in accordance with the predetermined budget and schedule. In literature, few works have been developed a tool for prediction of the most appropriate methodology for the specific software project. In this paper, a method for selecting an appropriate software development life cycle (SDLC) model based on a ranking manner from the highest to the lowest scoring is presented. The selection and ranking of appropriate SDLC elaborate the related SDLC’s critical factors, these factors are given different weights according to the SDLC, then these weights are used by the proposed mathematical method. The proposed approach has been extensively experimented on a dataset by software practitioners who are working in the software industry. Experimental results show that, the proposed method represents an applicable tool in predicting and ranking suitable SDLC models on various types of projects, such as: life-critical systems, commercial uses systems, and entertainment applications

Agile Project Management: A Systematic Literature Review of Adoption Drivers and Critical Success Factors

    Get PDF
With an emphasis on adaptive processes that respond to uncertainties, the Agile Project Management (APM) approach has evolved the way projects are managed beyond the traditional processes. This study aims to investigate recent literature on APM to discover the adoption drivers and the critical success factors that influence APM success and provide recommendations for the development of APM best practices. The study conducted a literature search on academic databases ABI/Inform, ACM Digital Library, EBSCO Host, and IEEE Xplore with keywords ‘agile’ and ‘project management’ for peer-reviewed English language articles published between January 2015 and January 2020 to discover insights regarding adoption drivers and critical success factors. Nine (9) drivers of adoption and thirteen (13) critical success factors related to the project dimensions of Project, Team, and Culture. The findings of this study outline the current state of APM adoption and use and is relevant to project management practitioners and researchers

In the last decade, mobile applications have shown an expansion to a great diversity of uses that can be made, which has influenced at different levels (economic, cultural, political), as in the area of learning where it has played a very important role in learning, since now with the development of technologies, children and adolescents are very interested in these new technologies and it is easier for them to use them, which also supports them in learning a great diversity of subjects of their own interest. That is why in this work a prototype of a mobile application for the management of mobile education using the Scrum methodology at the Norbert Wiener University of Lima-Peru, knowing that there are learning problems in students in the classroom, for this, want to provide a mobile application that supports the student to improve their learning. As a result, obtained from the study, was a prototype of a mobile application to improve learning in the Monte Carmelo private school in Lima-Peru, where a virtual model of the mobile application is shown, register the user, login where you can view their classes and share their class assignments, facilitating the user to enter their class and study material, this was achieved using balsamiq, the Scrum methodology with its four phases. The results of the survey conducted to the experts show that in most of the questions they gave a high scale, with the highest average of 4.91 with a standard deviation of 0.302 and only one low scale obtained of 1.45 on average with a standard deviation of 0.52
