    Abstract: The study seeks to identify the effectiveness of a religious counseling program in reducing symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder among Philadelphia University students. The study population consisted of all students for the academic year 2018/2019, where the obsessive-compulsive measure was applied as a pre-test on students who have desire to participate in the program, they were (60).The sample was chosen from students who received moderate and high scores on the OCD scale were randomly divided into two groups (experimental and control)(20) students each group.To demonstrate the statistical differences significance between means (MANCOVA) was used, also (t) test was used for samples related to the experimental group scores on the post and follow-up scale. The results of statistical analysis showed, it is clear the effectiveness of the program in reducingOCD symptoms among Philadelphia University students, there were no statistically significant differences in response to the program due to gender, but there were due to faculty. ملخص: تسعى الدراسة إلى التعرف إلى فاعلية برنامج إرشادي ديني في خفض أعراض الوسواس القهري لدى طلبة جامعة فيلادلفيا. تكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع طلبة جامعة فيلادلفيا للعام الدراسي 2018/2019, إذ تم تطبيق مقياس (الوسواس القهري) كاختبار قبلي على الطلبة الذين أبدوا رغبتهم بالاشتراك في البرنامج, وقد بلغ عددهم (60) طالباً, ثم تم اختيار عينة الدراسة من الطلبة الذين حصلوا على درجات متوسطة ومرتفعة على مقياس الوسواس القهري, تم توزيعهم بطريقة عشوائية إلى مجموعتين تجريبية وضابطة بواقع (20) طالباً في كل مجموعة. ولبيان دلالة الفروق الإحصائية بين المتوسطات الحسابية تم استخدام تحليل التباين المشترك (MANCOVA), واستخدام اختبار (ت) للعينات المرتبطة لدرجات المجموعة التجريبية (التي خضعت للبرنامج الإرشادي) على المقياس البعدي والمتابعة, وبناءً على نتائج التحليل الإحصائي تتضح فاعلية البرنامج في خفض أعراض الوسواس القهري لدى طلبة جامعة فيلادلفيا وعلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية للاستجابة للبرنامج تعزى لمتغير الجنس ووجود فروق بالاستجابة للبرنامج تعزى للكلية

    Integrating Science and Religion at Malaysian and Indonesian Higher Education

    This article analyzes the integration model between science and religion in Malaysian and Indonesian Higher Education. So far, the dichotomy of science and religion is considered to be one of the causes for the exit of the Islamic world from the Western world. In this century, educational institutions in the Islamic world began to re-select the integration pattern of science. This study uses qualitative methods, by collecting data through observation, visiting two higher education institutions studied, and conducting in-depth interviews with relevant parties, namely the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Malaysia and Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) in Indonesia. Data collection is also done by searching documents and referral sources in various data sources available online. From the research conducted, it was found that, integration carried out by Islamic universities in Malaysia and Indonesia was to open faculties and study programs without any religious or public claims. Everything is the same, and there are no restrictions on the rules for students based on religion to enter into it. So, education is inclusive, it can be for anyone. This model succeeded in advancing Islamic educational institutions

    Abstract: Demands of quality is one major aspect, even this is not only required a change in IAIN UIN will be fixed but IAIN as it should also improve the quality of teaching disciplines. The emphasis includes three things, namely (a) the target character building (b) academic coaching, and (c) professional development. Character development in the Act on National Education System mentioned faith, piety and ethics; IAIN should have the device ready than most other universities. Based on research findings obtained by the conclusion that, at the Faculty of Shariah IAIN ongoing teaching-learning process tends to focus on the teaching of the normative approach. Curriculum that is not fully able to follow the dynamic developments. This is for example, the dominance of rote approach in teaching-learning process than the method of analysis and problem-solving. In the same time, any material provided more mature form of living things to swallow without the need to dismantle the ethos of science. Low professionalism, because IAIN no / less build reciprocal communication with the world market, particularly those related to the type produced profession. ملخص: مطالب من نوعية واحدة جانبا رئيسيا، وحتى هذا ليس مطلوبا تغيير في ايان UIN سوف تكون ثابتة ولكن ايان كما يجب أيضا على تحسين نوعية التعليم من التخصصات. التركيز يتضمن الأمور الثلاثة، وهما (أ) هدف بناء الشخصية (ب) التدريب الأكاديمي، و(ج) التطوير المهني. للتنمية الحرف في قانون نظام التربية الوطنية المذكورة الإيمان والتقوى والأخلاق، وايان يجب أن يكون الجهاز جاهزا من معظم الجامعات الأخرى. تستند إلى نتائج البحوث التي تم الحصول عليها عن طريق الاستنتاج بأنه، في كلية الشريعة ايان التعليم المستمر والتعلم عملية يميل إلى التركيز على تدريس النهج المعياري. المناهج الدراسية ليست قادرة تماما علىمتابعة التطورات الديناميكية. هذا هو على سبيل المثال، فإن هيمنة نهج التكرار في عملية التعليم والتعلم من طريقة التحليل، وعلى حل المشاكل. في الوقت نفسه، أي المواد التي قدمت أكثر نضجا شكل من أشكال الكائنات الحية على ابتلاع دون الحاجة لتفكيك أخلاقيات العلم. تدني الكفاءة المهنية، وذلك لأن أي ايان / أقل بناء الاتصال المتبادل مع السوق العالمية، ولا سيما تلك المتصلة نوع المهنة المنتجة. Kata Kunci: higher education, shariah, IAIN Raden Fatah

Hasjmy is an intellectual who has produced many works in the topics of politics, literature, and culture that are very useful for the progress and welfare of the Acehnese people and the Indonesian nation in general. The main source of this research is the work and writings of Hasjmy which are directly oriented to politics and the concept of the state.     Examining the Anecdotes of Tha’labī's Book "Qatla al-Qur'an" from Propp's Morphological Perspective

    One way of examining fiction texts in literature is to analyze the structure of anecdotes from Vladimir Propp's morphological point of view. For fairy tales, Propp has defined functions that are applicable to a variety of other tales and stories. The book "Qatla al-Qur'an" by Abu Isḥāq al-Tha’labī is a collection of anecdotes, all of which have a common point and they are all about the stories of those who lost their lives after hearing a verse or verses from the divine book. Examining the narrative structure of these short stories reveals the hidden relationships between the anecdotes in their infrastructure and reveals the structure and form of the stories better. In this article, this attractive Tha’labī’s work has been analyzed from a morphological point of view by descriptive-analytical method. As a result, the introductory works and the climax of the story, which usually marks the end of it, are the most important design of Tha’labī for creating a single and uniform structure in the anecdotes of this book

    The scientific and literary construction of pesantren or Islamic boarding schools, especially traditional ones, is highly popular to the community and involves the surrounding villagers. The communication established between village community and pesantren in continuing the scientific tradition ultimately creates new socio-cultural-economic activities. Pondok Pesantren Al-Muwahidin, located in Karanggedang, Salebu Village, Majenang District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, is one of the pesantren that has a role in developing community literacy as mentioned. This research aims to observe and explain the role of the scientific tradition of Pesantren Karanggedang on literacy development of the local village community. A case study approach is used in this research. The stages of research activities include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The data was collected from observation, interviews, and documentation. This research reveals several findings about the role of the pesantren scientific tradition on literacy development of the local community, which are increasing public understanding of adab (Islamic etiquette), reducing criminal acts, creating information circulation culture, and modernizing knowledge, arts, and culture based on tradition and religion

    Ending Poverty: Islamic Solutions For The Welfare of The Ummah

    Poverty is a social problem of global concern. In developing countries including Indonesia, tens of millions of people live below the poverty line. In Islam, poverty is seen as a form of social injustice that must be resolved. The Quran and Hadith explicitly indicate the duty of Muslims to help the poor. This paper aims to analyze the Islamic perspective on poverty and propose Islamic solutions to achieve the welfare of the Ummah, within the framework of achieving maqashid sharia.  The method used is a literature study of Islamic sources and contextual analysis of the poverty situation in Muslim countries. The results show that poverty is caused by various factors, both internal and external. Islam offers comprehensive solutions such as the Islamic economic system, optimization of zakat and waqf, policy reform, and others. This is important in order to realize the purpose of sharia to protect the lives, property, and benefit of the people. However, its implementation needs to be studied further so that it is right on target in alleviating poverty in the contemporary Islamic world

    Abstract: The curriculum is the most important component for developing the quality of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in universities. The curriculum is a unique characteristic of a college compared to other universities. Nonetheless, the Government has provided guidelines for how the university curriculum is developed. This study aims to describe the development of IRE curriculum in IAIN Lhokseumawe Aceh. The research findings are as follows: first, the emphasis on curriculum development (a) clarity profile of graduates with a description of its operation. (b) The learning outcomes as an indicator graduate profile that refers to Indonesian Qualifications Framework (IQF) and National Standards for Higher Education (NSHE). (c) Field studies as a strategic issue which combined with the development of the course learning outcomes, (d) curriculum development in Department of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) also stressed on the aspect of IRE consisting of Al-Qur’an-Hadith, Aqidah Akhlak, Fiqh, and History of Islamic Culture to improve the professional competence of future teachers
