Teaching information skills for legal method
I have been involved with teaching information skills as part of the Law Department’s 1st year Legal Method course since 2000. These sessions have developed from a set of half hour sessions offered on a drop-in basis in 2000, to the current format of four seminars of an hour each. The four seminars deal with searching the library catalogue; searching the law databases for cases and statutes; searching for journal articles; and finding and evaluating material for law on the free internet.
There are 10 seminar groups for Legal Method so each library seminar is delivered 10 times in the week. The aim of this article is to provide a snapshot of the seminars on journals from January 2009, which I hope will prove interesting to colleagues as an example of services provided by the academic services librarians
Teaching and Learning Method in Inclusive Classroom: a Case Study in EAP Class at Sampoerna University
A new challenge has appeared for Indonesian higher education to accommodate inclusive education. This study explored and compared the existing theories related with teaching and learning for inclusive education and teacher strategies applied in teaching hard of hearing students. From an observation in English for academic purposes classroom (EAP) course at Sampoerna University, this study evaluated the teaching and learning methods applied in the inclusive classroom and the students' perspective upon the lesson. Through interviews conducted with the EAP lecturer, hard of hearing students, and a lecturer who is an expert in inclusive education, it can be seen that the USAge of first language, written instructions, different types of instruction, and visualization through pictures, were able to facilitate the teaching and learning process for the hard of hearing students

Traditional teaching method Vs Modern teaching method
In order to effectively convey information to learners, teachers must use different methods based on the learners' requirements, such as visual, aural, or kinaesthetic methods. This approach ensures that every topic in education, including Physical Science, is taught in a way that is tailored to the needs of each individual learner.Overall, effective communication and the application of learning theories are essential in teaching to ensure that students receive accurate information and overcome barriers to learning. This method makes learning active according to Edgar Dale and “the learning pyramid”.The teachings of John Milton Gregory, as presented in his book "The Seven Laws of Teaching," have had a significant impact on modern teaching and learning practices. Furthermore, effective communication between teachers and learners is considered essential in contemporary educational settings, as emphasized by Petty (2004, p. 40).In different areas of education, three main theories of learning are utilized: Behaviorism, Cognitive, and Humanistic. Behaviorism is commonly used when teaching young learners, while Cognitive theory is more applicable to higher education learners. On the other hand, Humanistic theory is often employed when working with mature students. When it comes to evaluating teaching and learning, Tummons' method (2007, p.4) is widely recognized as the most effective. This method allows for the assessment of new skills acquired by learners

to the second grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Surakarta.
This report is arranged based on the data which are taken from the observation
that is done inside the class. The observation is done in order to know the method
thatused in the class, the facilities that support the English teaching activities, and
the materials that is given to the students.
In the English teaching process, the writer used Grammar-Translation method. It
is done since it the most suitable method for the students which is demanded to be
more active in the Education Unit Level Curriculum which is applied. The
problems appear during the English teaching process such as the difference of
used method, the students’ attention are hard to be focused, limited facilities,
limited time provided by school, and the topic development are too broad. To deal
with the problems, the writer are implied some solutions such as familiarizing the
new method, giving games and interesting materials, using alternative facilities,
giving additional class and making priority list of the topics which will be given.
It is suggested to the school management to complete the existed facilities so that
it can fully support the students in English teaching and learning activities andto
the English teacher to be more strictto the students
The Development of Historical Instruction/Teaching Material in Senior High Schools Based on Local History with SOI Approach
ABSTRACT
Purpose: The purpose of this research is to develop more comprehensive model of
historical instructional materials that is a model of local history-based teaching
materials and oriented to local historical events. The method used in the
development of historical instructional materials is Research and Development (R
& D) approach. This research is to formulate a development model of teaching
materials on Indonesian history with local history. So the appropriate method in
this research is the R & D method/approach.The development of historical
materials based on local history will give students an understanding of the
historical values that occur in their environment so that the understanding level of
historical values will more achieve the target in the historical learning objectives.
Method: The method used in the development of historical instructional materials
is Research and Development (R & D) approach. This research is to formulate a
development model of teaching materials on Indonesian history with local history.
So the appropriate method in this research is the R & D method/approach.
Findings: The developed product is teaching materials about Indonesian history
arranged on the concept of SOI (Selecting, Organizing, and Integrating.). The
development of historical teaching materials with SOI begins with the gathering
of local historical sources which are relevant to the national curriculum on the
history subjects. The selection result based on the observations of historical
objects and oral sources is combined with existing knowledge of history and
sorted which is included in national curriculum. After the materials are
selected/sorted then the next stage is to organize them which are suitable with
material orders (basic competence) on nasional curriculum. The last stage before
organizing the teaching materials is to combine the local history with national
curriculum of history subjects into the historical teaching materials. The product
of teaching materials is able to accommodate the materials of local history
relating to the basic competence in the national curriculum
Developing The Attitude And Creativity In Mathematics Education
The structures in a traditionally-organized classroom of mathematics teaching can usually be linked
readily with the routine classroom activities of teacher-exposition and teacher-supervised desk work,
teacher’s initiation, teacher’s direction and strongly teacher’s expectations of the outcome of student learning.
If the teacher wants to develop appropriate attitude and creativities in mathematics teaching learning it needs
for him to develop innovation in mathematics teaching. The teacher may face challenge to develop various
style of teaching i.e. various and flexible method of teaching, discussion method, problem-based method,
various style of classroom interaction, contextual and or realistic mathematics approach.
To develop mathematical attitude and creativity in mathematics teaching learning processes, the
teacher may understand the nature and have the highly skill of implementing the aspects of the following:
mathematics teaching materials, teacher’s preparation, student’s motivation and apperception, various
interactions, small-group discussions, student’s works sheet development, students’ presentations, teacher’s
facilitations, students’ conclusions, and the scheme of cognitive development. In the broader sense of developing attitude and creativity of mathematics learning, the teacher may needs to in-depth understanding of the nature of school mathematics, the nature of students learn mathematics and the nature of constructivism in learning mathematics.
