    . The issue of supplier selection is an important issue in the company because it will determine the company's ability to ensure the availability of raw materials in production. This study aims to establish a decision-making model for supplier selection which considers many criteria in which there is dependence between criteria. The method used is fuzzy-analytic network process (fuzzy-ANP). The combined fuzzy and ANP methods is used not only to consider dependencies between criteria, but also to minimize uncertainty and inaccuracy in the assessment of importance of each criterion. Four major stages used in the decision model, namely the establishment of supplier selection criteria and sub-criteria, the process of determining dependencies among the criteria, the weighting of the criteria/sub-criteria, and the last one is supplier assessment process. The process of weighting the criteria results in two data, criteria weights without dependency and criteria weights with dependency. The process of formation of criteria/sub-criteria and the ratings to generate weights were obtained from the experts from the company where case study was done. Supplier rsting process is done through assessment process using the 5 (five) scale rating. The results of rating for each supplier will then be compared. The results of this method is the ranking of suppliers in a certain procurement process. From this research it is known that the method used, fuzzy ANP, is proved to be appropriate considering that there are dependencies among the criteria/ sub-criteria used and the method is useful to minimize uncertainty or inaccuracy in the assessment process. By employing this method, criteria with the highest weight was obtained, that is quality of human resources which affect as much as 6 other criteria, followed by quality of product, supplier's reputation, price, and delivery method

    CV Delta Raya merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi furnitur. Perusahaan ini memiliki berbagai kategori pemasok untuk memasok berbagai bahan baku. Selama ini, evaluasi kinerja pemasok dilakukan secara manual tanpa perhitungan yang akurat, sehingga kinerja pemasok tidak dapat dinilai dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu perusahaan agar dapat melakukan evaluasi para pemasok dengan baik. Pertama, analisis segmentasi pemasok dilakukan untuk mengelompokkan semua pemasok berdasarkan karakteristik yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing pemasok. Untuk ini, analisis segmentasi pema-sok dilakukan menggunakan metode clustering fuzzy c-means berdasarkan hasil pemodelan recency, frequency, dan monetary (RFM) yang menggambarkan perilaku pemasok. Kedua, metode analytical hierarchy process (AHP) digunakan unutk mempe-ringkat semua pemasok yang dihasilkan oleh analisis segmen-tasi. Ketiga, data envelopment analysis (DEA) kemudian digu-nakan terhadap data hasil pemeringkatan pemasok untuk mem-peroleh skor efisiensi sebagai ukuran kinerja dari pemasok dari berbagai kategori berdasarkan hasil pemodelan RFM. Hasil analisis segmentasi menggunakan gabungan pemodelan RFM, clustering fuzzy c-means, dan metode AHP menghasilkan tiga klaster pemasok. Hasil analisis segmentasi ditampilkan dalam bentuk visualisasi guna memudahkan perusahaan dalam melakukan analisis setiap klaster yang dihasilkan. Dari ketiga klaster yang dihasilkan, terdapat satu klaster terbaik yang berisikan 46 pemasok dan mempunyai rata-rata skor RFM tertinggi sebesar 0,6635. Analisis DEA terhadap klaster terbaik ini menghasilkan 12 pemasok dengan skor efisiensi tertinggi dan dapat dikategorikan sebagai pemasok potensial untuk jangka panjang

    Clustering sustainable suppliers in the plastics industry: A fuzzy equivalence relation approach

    Nowadays, pure economic supply chain management is not commonly contemplated among companies (especially buyers), as recently novel dimensions of supply chains, e.g., environmental, sustainability, and risk, play significant roles. In addition, since companies prefer buying their needs from a group of suppliers, the problem of supplier selection is not solely choosing or qualifying a supplier from among others. Buyers, hence, commonly assemble a portfolio of suppliers by looking at the multi-dimensional pre-determined selection criteria. Since sustainable supplier selection criteria are often assessed by linguistic terms, an appropriate clustering approach is required. This paper presents an innovative way to implement fuzzy equivalence relation to clustering sustainable suppliers through developing a comprehensive taxonomy of sustainable supplier selection criteria, including supply chain risk. Fifteen experts participated in this study to evaluate 20 suppliers and cluster them in the plastics industry. Findings reveal that the best partitioning occurs when the suppliers are divided into two clusters, with 4 (20%) and 16 (80%) suppliers, respectively. The four suppliers in cluster one are performing better in terms of the capability of supplier/delivery, service, risk, and sustainability criteria such as environment protection/management, and green innovation. These factors are critical in clustering and selecting sustainable suppliers. The originality of this study lies in developing an all-inclusive set of criteria for clustering sustainable suppliers and adding risk factors to the conventional supplier selection criteria. In addition to partitioning the suppliers and determining the best-performing ones, this study also highlights the most influential factors by analysing the suppliers in the best cluster

    Designing supplier selection strategies under COVID-19 constraints for industrial environments

    COVID-19 has been impacting worldwide supply chains causing interruption, closure of production and distribution. This impact has been drastic on the supplier side and, as a consequence of disruptions, strong reductions of production have been estimated. Such a circumstance forces companies to propose innovative best practices of supply chain risk management aimed at facing vulnerability generated by COVID-19 and pursuing industrial improvements in manufacturing and production environments. As a part of supply chain strategy, supplier selection criteria should be revised to include pandemic-related risks. This article aims to propose an answer to such a problem. In detail, a comprehensive tool designed as a hybrid combination of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods is suggested to manage important stages connected to the production development cycle and to provide companies with a structured way to rank risks and easily select their suppliers. The main criteria of analysis will be first identified from the existent literature. Risks related to COVID-19 will be then analysed in order to elaborate a comprehensive list of potential risks in the field of interest. The Best Worst Method (BWM) will be first used to calculate criteria weights. The Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS) will be then applied to rank and prioritize risks affecting suppliers. The effectiveness of the approach will be tested through a case study in the sector of automotive industry. The applicability of the designed MCDM framework can be extended also to other industrial sectors of interest

    Abstrak. Persoalan pemilihan pemasok merupakan masalah penting dalam perusahaan karena hal ini akan sangat menentukan kemampuan perusahaan untuk menjamin ketersediaan bahan baku produksinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan model pengambilan keputusan fuzzy-ANP (fuzzy analytic network process) dalam kasus pemilihan pemasok di sebuah perusahaan manufaktur. Metode gabungan fuzzy dan ANP digunakan karena selain perlu mempertimbangkan ketergantungan antar kriteria, juga ingin diminimalisasi ketidakpastian dan ketidaktepatan pada penilaian tingkat kepentingan tiap kriteria. Kerangka berpikir dari penelitian ini terdiri dari empat tahapan besar yaitu proses pembentukan kriteria dan subkriteria pemilihan pemasok, proses penentuan ketergantungan antar kriteria, proses pembobotan kriteria/subkriteria, serta proses penilaian pemasok. Proses pembobotan kriteria dihasilkan dari dua data yaitu data bobot kriteria tanpa dependency dan kriteria bobot dengan dependency. Proses pembentukan kriteria/subkriteria dan penilaian untuk menghasilkan bobot diperoleh dari pihak expert yang berada pada perusahaan tempat studi kasus penelitian dilakukan. Proses penilaian pemasok dilakukan dengan memberikan penilaian menggunakan 5 (lima) skala untuk masing-masing pemasok yang kemudian hasilnya akan diperbandingkan. Hasil dari metode ini adalah urutan ranking pemasok pada suatu proses pengadaan. Dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa metode fuzzy ANP terbukti tepat digunakan dalam konteks pengadaan bahan baku pada kasus yang dibahas karena kriteria/subkriteria yang digunakan memiliki ketergantungan satu sama lain, serta mampu meminimalisasi ketidakpastian atau ketidaktepatan dalam melakukan penilaian. Dengan menggunakan metode ini, diperoleh kriteria yang memiliki bobot paling tinggi yaitu kriteria kualitas SDM yang mempengaruhi sebanyak 6 kriteria lainnya, diikuti dengan kriteria kualitas barang, reputasi pemasok, harga, dan metode pengiriman.     Supplier evaluation and selection in fuzzy environments: a review of MADM approaches

    In past years, the multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) approaches have been extensively applied by researchers to the supplier evaluation and selection problem. Many of these studies were performed in an uncertain environment described by fuzzy sets. This study provides a review of applications of MADM approaches for evaluation and selection of suppliers in a fuzzy environment. To this aim, a total of 339 publications were examined, including papers in peer-reviewed journals and reputable conferences and also some book chapters over the period of 2001 to 2016. These publications were extracted from many online databases and classified in some categories and subcategories according to the MADM approaches, and then they were analysed based on the frequency of approaches, number of citations, year of publication, country of origin and publishing journals. The results of this study show that the AHP and TOPSIS methods are the most popular approaches. Moreover, China and Taiwan are the top countries in terms of number of publications and number of citations, respectively. The top three journals with highest number of publications were: Expert Systems with Applications, International Journal of Production Research and The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology

    Synthesis of main criteria, methods and issues of multicriteria supplier selection

    O objetivo do presente artigo é identificar na literatura quais são os principais critérios considerados no processo de decisão, os principais métodos individuais e combinados e os subproblemas da seleção de fornecedores no contexto multicritério. Cabe ressaltar que as tarefas de avaliar e identificar os melhores fornecedores para um novo produto ou serviço são essenciais ao gerenciamento da cadeia de suprimentos (GCS). Para executá-las apropriadamente, considerando-se a natureza multicritério da seleção de fornecedores, torna-se necessária a inclusão de uma abordagem de agregação dos critérios, cuja escolha depende basicamente dos objetivos da decisão, tipos de critérios a serem utilizados e racionalidade do decisor. Para atingir o objetivo proposto, optou-se por utilizar o procedimento da revisão sistemática da literatura que segue o protocolo proposto por Cronin, Ryan e Coughlan (2008), abrangendo artigos publicados nas bases ISI Web of Knowledge e Scopus, no período de 2001 a 2012. Além de sintetizar o conhecimento acerca do tema, o artigo ressalta os principais critérios, métodos e subproblemas da seleção de fornecedores, com isso, contribui ao identificar os aspectos que devem ser desenvolvidos em estudos futuros e ao apresentar aos gestores abordagens existentes para a tomada de decisões relativa à seleção de fornecedores de forma sistematizada.The purpose of this paper is to identify the main criteria considered in supplier selection, the main methods used and sub-problems in a multicriteria context. The tasks of identifying the best suppliers of new products or services or even for evaluating the performance of an existing supplier is essential to supply chain management (SCM). In order to perform these tasks properly, and considering the multicriteria nature of supplier selection, it is necessary to include an approach using aggregation of criteria, primarily chosen depending on the objectives of the decision, types of criteria to be used and the rationality of the decision maker. In order to achieve this objective this research used a systematic literature review of articles published in ISI Web of Knowledge and Scopus for the period 2001-2012 following the protocol proposed by Cronin, Ryan and Coughlan (2008). In addition to synthesizing knowledge about the subject, the article highlights the key criteria, methods and sub-problems of selection of suppliers, contributing by identifying the aspects that should be developed in future studies. It also provides managers with existing approaches to making decisions about supplier selection in a systematic way

    "Pemilihan supplier merupakan permasalahan yang komplek pada era Industri 4.0 sekarang ini. Banyaknya jumlah supplier dengan kualitas performansi yang berbeda-beda menyebabkan sulitnya pihak internal perusahaan untuk memilih supplier yang sesuai. Di sisi lain macam-macam bahan baku yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat produk jadi, sangat beragam. Kesesuaian supplier berkualitas yang diperlukan untuk memasok bahan baku yang dibutuhkan oleh industri menjadi hal yang penting untuk diselesaikan. Begitupun halnya dengan industri perakitan traktor tangan, industri kecil menengah ini juga sangat tergantung pada ketersediaan bahan pasokan, dan sudah pasti tergantung pula dengan pemilihan supplier itu sendiri. Penelitian disertasi ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh metode terbaru untuk memilih supplier pada industri manufaktur dengan studi kasus pada perakitan industri kecil traktor tangan. Penelitian disertasi ini diawali dengan kegiatan studi literatur melalui FGD, dan studi pustaka, kemudian diikuti dengan pembuatan desain prototipe aplikasi. Dimana untuk menyusun database bahan baku disusun menggunakan struktur produk pada Bill of Material, penentuan bobot kriteria optimal menggunakan Genetic Algorythms dan pemilihan supplier menggunakan metode multi criteria decision making. Studi kasus penelitian ini di sentra Industri Logam Ceper Klaten Solo, yaitu di Politeknik Manufaktur Ceper. Sedangkan pelaksanaan penelitiannya di Lab Komputasional dan Sistem Informasi serta Laboratorium Rekayasa Sistem Informasi Politeknik Negeri Jember. Uji coba aplikasi diimplementasikan pada studi kasus sesungguhnya, dengan data supplier 153, data bahan baku 70 bahan baku dengan variabel kriteria pemilihan supplier sebanyak 10 variabel. Pada tahap akhir diverifikasi menggunakan kuesioner online Google Form, dengan data responden sebanyak 101, banyaknya responden yg memilih “Sangat mudah” dan “Mudah” atau “Sangat lengkap” dan “Lengkap” atau “Sangat tepat” dan “Tepat” > 80 %, ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi / web yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini sesuai dengan harapan IKM pengguna (Verified).
