    The Museum of Copying was an exhibition conceived and executed by FAT Architecture for the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2012. It explored ideas of the copy as a way of establishing common ground between diverse publics over time. This represented a significant moment into themes that have been present in FAT’s work for the past 15 years. Its primary research questions were: Can copying be a creative technique in architecture? What potential does the figural section hold for architecture? How have photocopying, digital media and computer aided manufacture extended the repertoire of creative replication in architecture? Research methods included collaborative and curatorial work in conversation with the other contributors to the Museum: San Rocco and Ines Weizman. The museum challenged the idea of the copy as inauthentic pastiche and proposed ways of understanding and using it in more productive ways. FATs contribution, ‘Villa Rotunda Redux’ is a prefabricated replica of Palladio’s Villa Rotunda. This was designed by extraction and translation of essential information from the original Villa Rotunda into three dimensional material form using new fabrication techniques. It comprises two abstracted quarters of the Villa Rotunda, one a polystyrene mould, the other a foam cast. These were arranged diagonally across from one another, displaying not only the properties of the original, but also the process of their fabrication. This produced an iteration of the Villa Rotunda that was at once recognizable, yet utterly transformed and original. The project was seen by the 178,000 visitors who attended the biennale. It has also been widely reviewed in the popular and architectural press, including Phaidon, dezeen, Architects Journal, designboom, ArchDaily, Architectural Review, Los Angeles Times and Financial Times. On the basis of this project, FAT Architecture have been selected, to curate the British Pavilion at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale with Crimson Architectural Historians and Owen Hatherley

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan berbagai konsentrasi minyak atsirikunyit putih (Kaempferia rotunda) terhadap intensitas warna dan pH fillet ikan patin selama penyimpananpada suhu -10±20C. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengansatu faktor yaitu konsentrasi minyak atsiri kunyit putih (Kaempferia rotunda) pada edible coating sebesar 0%;0,1%; dan 1%. Pengamatan dilakukan pada bulan ke 0, 1, 2, 3, dan 4. Dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwadengan penambahan minyak atsiri kunyit putih (Kaempferia rotunda) pada edible coating fillet ikan patin,stabilitas warna dan pH fillet lebih terjaga.     Patin fish is one of the most comodity that has a good progress in Indonesia. Moreover, the price of patin fish is cheap enough and patin fish has a good nutrients inside. One of the handling processes form Patin fish is filleted. Patin fish fillet quality is easily degraded. The quality degradation usually happened because of microbiological and oxidative damage. One of the way to reducing the damage is using preservating technique, most like with edible coating and adding some natural active compound from white tumeric rhizome (Kaempferia rotunda) essential oil. Edible coating has an ability to controlling the humidity, oxigen and lipid. Whereas white tumeric rhizome (Kaempferia rotunda) essential oil knows has an antimicroba and antioxidants effect. The aim of this experiments is to find out the influence of adding white tumeric rhizome (Kaempferia rotunda) essential oil on microbiological (TPC), and physiochemical characteristic (color, pH, TBA and TVB) patin fish fillet during frozen storage (-10±2 0 C). The experimental design using completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor is the concentration of white tumeric rhizome (Kaempferia rotunda) essential oil in edible coating at 0%; 0,1%; and 1%. The observation were made at 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 months. Of this experiment note that with the addition of white turmeric rhizome (Kaempferia rotunda) essential oils in patin fish fillets edible coating affect the damage of microbiological and oxidative. With the addition of essential oils of Kaempferia rotunda then there is an inhibition of microbial growth on patin fish fillets, as well as the inhibition of the oxidation reaction when viewed from the TBA parameters. TVB parameters as the freshness and pH is also can be maintained. The best white turmeric rhizome (Kaempferia rotunda) essential oil concentration based on the microbial, physic, and chemical characteristic from patin fish fillet during frozen storage is 1%. Ikan patin merupakan salah satu komoditas yang sedang berkembang di Indonesia. Selain karena kandungan gizinya harganya pun cukup terjangkau. Salah satu bentuk olahan ikan patin adalah fillet ikan patin. Fillet ikan patin mudah mengalami penurunan mutu. Penurunan mutu biasanya diakibatkan karena kerusakan mikrobiologis dan oksidatif. Salah satu cara mengurangi kerusakan itu adalah dengan menggunakan teknik pengawetan, yaitu dengan edible coating dan juga penambahan senyawa aktif alami misalnya dari minyak atsiri kunyit putih (Kaempferia rotunda). Edible coating diketahui mempunyai kemampuan untuk mengendalikan transfer kelembaban, oksigen, dan lipid. Sedangkan minyak atsiri kunyit putih (Kaempferia rotunda) diketahui mempunyai efek antimikroba dan antioksidan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan berbagai konsentrasi minyak atsiri kunyit putih (Kaempferia rotunda) terhadap karakteristik mikrobiologis (TPC) dan fisiko-kimia (warna, pH, TBA, dan TVB) fillet ikan patin selama penyimpanan pada suhu -10±2 0 C. Dengan penambahan minyak atsiri (Kaempferia rotunda) maka terjadi penghambatan pertumbuhan mikroba pada fillet ikan patin, serta penghambatan reaksi oksidasi bila dilihat dari parameter TBA. Nilai TVB sebagai parameter kesegaran dan pH juga dapat dipertahankan. Konsentrasi minyak atsiri kunyit putih (Kaempferia rotunda) terbaik berdasarkan karakteristik mikroba, fisik, dan kimia fillet ikan patin selama penyimpanan pada suhu -10±2 0 C adalah sebesar 1%
