A commentary on the bibliography of Slovak literary translations in Poland in 2015

The author of the article considers the latest translations of Slovak literature in Poland in 2015. Among very well‑known and valued Slovak authors whose translations have been published recently are contemporary and modern authors of the younger generation (Pavol Rankov, Peter Krištúfek, Maroš Krajňak, Jana Beňová) and the older generation (Pavel Vilikovský, Daniela Kapitáňová). Their books were very well received by Polish recipients and it occurs that Slovak literature in Poland is read with steadily growing interest. The article concerns the Polish translations of Slovak poetry as well. The survey shows a decreasing number of translations of this kind of literature

„Jan Mukařovský dla wszystkich”. O przekładach tekstów czeskiego teoretyka literatury i estetyki

The subject of the analysis is the presence of Jan Mukarovsky’s texts in the field of Polish literary theory and aesthetics. The achievements of Czech structuralism, of which he was an outstanding representative, seem to be indisputable, since to this day they are a more or less conscious element of modern knowledge about literature. The Czech structuralism heritage still amazes and intrigues with its scale, and it undoubtedly continues to be a grateful object of research by Polish theoreticians and translators

Women and physical culture in modern Poland

This dissertation examines the interaction between the various forces of Polish nationalism and feminism in the construction of women\u27s physical culture in modern Poland from the late nineteenth century until the end of the twentieth century. The basic premise of this work is that unlike most western countries where sportswomen have typically been marginalized in their athletic endeavors, Polish female athletes have earned far greater respect and recognition in the development of their physical culture. On many occasions, women\u27s athleticism in Poland was a source of immense pride and prestige for both the state and society, albeit for varied reasons throughout the time period. This form of public acceptance, however, does not suggest that Polish sportswomen faced no discrimination in their efforts to become more athletic. Women\u27s physicality remained the subject of much debate throughout the history of Poland. Such scrutiny became even more intense when the socio-economic conditions worsened and threatened the survival of Polish families. Still, despite the patriarchal and other barricades, the Polish struggles for independence and women\u27s concerns to achieve greater equity with men created significant institutional spaces and ideological avenues for Polish sportswomen to build their physical culture. Although Polish sportswomen were not depicted as Soviet-style sports stakhanovites, neither were they portrayed as abnormalities quite typical of the western identification for their sportswomen. The Polish female athletes were not placed in either of these two ludicrous categories; rather, they were located in the middle of these two polarities. Polish sportswomen were simply heroic women who took advantage of the available opportunities to build their physical culture without causing much controversy in popular discourse and official rhetoric. In this manner, they made significant contributions to the feminist goals of self-awareness and self-authorization, albeit within the boundaries of a still patriarchal nationalist agenda

Dies prägte sein gesamtes Werk. Mikuli zählt zu den ersten Herausgebern von Chopins Klavierwerken. Tylko nauczyciel kreatywny, autonomiczny i refleksyjny, ktorego profesjonalna wiedza powstaje z sytuacyjnego rozumienia zdarzen i badan wlasnej praktyki, jest w stanie sprostae wymogom wspolczesnej rzeczywistosci i zmianom filozofii edukacji.Changes in the contemporary socio-cultural reality and their pace pose many challenges for teachers who have to flexibly respond to these changes and skillfully adapt to new requirements. The functions of a teacher as a creator of changes in education can be considered from the perspective of all educational entities, ie students, parents, other teachers, specialists and the teacher himself. The article discusses the issue of developing teachers' creativity as a factor of effective educational changes. From the point of view of the tasks facing modern education, it seems necessary to educate teachers ready to independently create the educational reality. Only creative, autonomous and reflective teachers, whose professional knowledge arises from situational understanding of events and research of their own practice, is able to meet the requirements of contemporary reality and changes in the philosophy of education.Зміни в сучасній соціально-культурній реальності та їх темпи ставлять багато викликів для вчителів, які повинні гнучко реагувати на ці зміни та вміло пристосовуватися до нових вимог. Функції вчителя як творця змін в освіті можна розглядати з точки зору всіх учасників освітнього процесу, тобто учнів, батьків, інших вчителів, спеціалістів та самого вчителя. У статті розглядається питання розвитку креативності вчителів як чинника ефективних освітніх змін. З точки зору завдань, що стоять перед сучасною освітою, видається необхідним виховувати вчителів таким чином, щоб підготувати їх до самостійного створення освітньої реальності. Тільки креативний, автономний та рефлексивний педагог, чиї професійні знання формуються із ситуативного розуміння подій та досліджень власної практики, здатний відповідати вимогам сучасної дійсності та змін у філософії освіти.Изменения в современной социокультурной реальности и их темп создают множество проблем для учителей, которым необходимо гибко реагировать на эти изменения и умело адаптироваться к новым требованиям. Функции учителя как творца изменений в образовании можно рассматривать с точки зрения всех образовательных субъектов: учащихся, родителей, других учителей, специалистов и самого учителя. В статье рассматривается проблема развития творческих способностей учителей как фактора эффективных образовательных изменений. С точки зрения задач, стоящих перед современным образованием, представляется необходимым воспитывать учителей, которые будут готовы к самостоятельному созданию образовательной реальности. Только творческий, автономный и рефлексивный учитель, профессиональные знания которого возникают из ситуативного понимания событий и исследования собственной практики, способен соответствовать требованиям современной действительности и изменениям в философии образования

Poetka rewolucji : Anna Świrszczyńska i socjalistyczny projekt równości kobiet

The text deals with the influence that women’s movements on the one hand and organizations operating in Poland after 1945 on the other hand had on the poetry of Anna Świrszczyńska. Contrary to the established narrative developed by interpreters of this poetry after 1989, the feminist sensitivity of Świrszczyńska was not an isolated and individual phenomenon, as it grew directly from activities undertaken by women and from women’s organizations in the People’s Republic of Poland as well as during the moral and cultural transformations. Reading Świrszczyńska’s poetry in the light of socialist emancipation projects allows us also to redefine the genealogy of Polish feminism

Polityczne implikacje edukacji literackiej. Analiza spisów lektur obowiązujących w liceach po 1989 roku

Analyzes of educational discourse often prove that knowledge transmitted to individuals in the course of education is knowledge constructed and “prepared” in accordance with the interests of dominating groups. This article deals with the problem of reading canons of high school students announced by the government after 1989. The first part of the article describes the main tool of control of educational discourse by the state – the core curriculum; subsequent parts present the analysis of changes in the reading list made by subsequent governments of the Third Republic; the last part, based on press discourse, attempts to interpret some of these changes. Analizy dyskursu edukacyjnego niejednokrotnie dowodzą, że wiedza przekazywana jednostkom w toku edukacji jest wiedzą konstruowaną, „spreparowaną” odpowiednio do interesów grup dominujących. Niniejszy artykuł podejmuje problem spisów lektur obowiązujących licealistów, które ogłaszane były przez odpowiednie organy państwowe po 1989 roku. Pierwsza część artykułu opisuje główne narzędzie kontroli dyskursu edukacyjnego przez państwo − podstawę programową. Części kolejne stanowią analizę zmian, jakich w zakresie spisu lektur dokonywały kolejne rządy III RP. Ostatnia natomiast podejmuje próbę interpretacji, w oparciu o dyskurs prasowy, niektórych z tych zmian.
