Adoption of vehicular ad hoc networking protocols by networked robots

    Get PDF
This paper focuses on the utilization of wireless networking in the robotics domain. Many researchers have already equipped their robots with wireless communication capabilities, stimulated by the observation that multi-robot systems tend to have several advantages over their single-robot counterparts. Typically, this integration of wireless communication is tackled in a quite pragmatic manner, only a few authors presented novel Robotic Ad Hoc Network (RANET) protocols that were designed specifically with robotic use cases in mind. This is in sharp contrast with the domain of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET). This observation is the starting point of this paper. If the results of previous efforts focusing on VANET protocols could be reused in the RANET domain, this could lead to rapid progress in the field of networked robots. To investigate this possibility, this paper provides a thorough overview of the related work in the domain of robotic and vehicular ad hoc networks. Based on this information, an exhaustive list of requirements is defined for both types. It is concluded that the most significant difference lies in the fact that VANET protocols are oriented towards low throughput messaging, while RANET protocols have to support high throughput media streaming as well. Although not always with equal importance, all other defined requirements are valid for both protocols. This leads to the conclusion that cross-fertilization between them is an appealing approach for future RANET research. To support such developments, this paper concludes with the definition of an appropriate working plan

China is a population republic country has insufficient medical resources and uneven distribution. Therefore, there are many medical problems. Due to the backward development of the medical system, the quality of medical resources is poor, the efficiency of medical services is low, and the cost is high, which brings many difficulties for the Chinese people to seek medical treatment. However, one of the main factors of these problems is the lack of government support and imperfect medical insurance. To solve this problem, the government began to reform the medical security system. Since the 1988 medical insurance reform, after several changes, China's medical insurance system has gradually matured. The thesis will briefly describe the basic framework, content and path of change in health care. And the shortcomings of the current medical insurance system. According to the characteristics of the times, talk about the impact of "Internet +" and "Big Data" on the current Chinese industry, including people's lives. Therefore, the analysis introduces the positive role of big data Internet for the reform of medical insurance system, and provides convenience for the management and governance of medical insurance system. Analyze whether "Internet +" and "Big Data" can lead to new trends in the reform of the health care system.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Subjects Study on Rural Eco-Soft Power Construction

To promote eco-soft power construction in the countryside, it is important to utilize the governmental macroeconomic regulations, governance function and the autonomy and heteronomy of enterprises. Attaching great importance to maximizing the advantages of the farmers’ cooperative organizations which serve as the main subjects of rural eco-soft power is highly recommended. It is necessary to play its role in nurturing rural ecological culture, to improve farmers’ ecological awareness, qualities and abilities, to organize the farmers to undertake ecological agriculture, to promote recycling economy, to feed villages with surplus engaging in environmental and public welfare, and to reinforce materials and spiritual achievements in construction of rural ecological soft power.Key words: Rural ecological soft power; Farmers’ cooperative organization; Environmental governanc

The economic basis for national science and technology policy

    Get PDF
National science and technology policy is concerned with societal choices with respect to the rate and directions of technological change and the adoption and use of new technology in society. Such policy choices occur primarily in connection with management of the creation, dissemination, and use of scientific and technical information. Two categories of policy instruments discussed are market-oriented approaches, and direct public action. Possibilities for increased use of market-oriented approaches that can provide benefits to society in the form of an increased rate of innovation and of more 'appropriate' technology, better suited to the needs of consumers are indicated

This paper incorporates the interdisciplinary New Institutional and Transaction Costs Economics (combining Economics, Organization, Law, Sociology, Behavioral and Political Sciences) and suggests a holistic framework for analysis of agrarian contracts. First, it specifies type and importance of different mechanisms of governance of agrarian activity. Second, it defines the essence, and classifies types and features of agrarian contracts. Next, it identifies technological, institutional, behavioral, dimensional, and transaction costs factors for contractual choice, and specifies effective modes for contractual arrangements in agriculture. Finally, it determines the effective boundaries and sustainability of farm and agrarian organizations.contract management, type of agrarian contracts, factor and efficiency of contractual choice, economic boundaries and sustainability of farm.
