    An automatic process that gives the complete solution for attendance and time management is knows as smart attendance management system. On the basis of several events like on duty, overtime, holiday working, shift, permission and late the attendance management system keep the record of attendance of all the employees. Because of non-intrusiveness and strong anti-interference the Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) provide the solutions. In this paper we study the smart attendance system based on frequency distribution algorithm.Un proceso automático que brinda la solución completa para la asistencia y la gestión del tiempo se conoce como sistema inteligente de gestión de asistencia. Sobre la base de varios eventos como en servicio, horas extras, trabajo de vacaciones, turnos, permisos y retrasos, el sistema de gestión de asistencia mantiene el registro de asistencia de todos los empleados.     E-Net-Manager: a Power Management System for Networked PCs based on Soft Sensors

    The overall energy consumption due to ICT equipment has followed an increasing trend over the last years. A considerable fraction of the consumed energy is caused by user devices, such as Personal Computers (PCs) and displays. However, a large part of this energy is wasted due to an inefficient use. Users leave their PCs on for long periods even when unused, especially in workplaces. Hence, significant energy savings could be achieved just turning them off. However, it is not wise to rely on user collaboration, and, thus, automated tools are needed. In this paper, we present E-Net-Manager, a power management system for large environments, which turns unused PCs off and switches them on when the user is about to use them. To this end, E-Net-Manager leverages soft sensors, i.e., software/hardware tools already in use by the users, thus not introducing any additional cost. E-Net-Manager combines information provided by the users and data obtained from a number of these soft sensors. This way, it is possible to accurately determine the user presence/activity near her/his PC and, therefore, eliminate wastes also due to short periods of inactivity

    Developing IT Strategic Planning Using Mobile Enterprise Architecture in the Academic Process of Atma Jaya Makassar University

    The purpose of this research was to examine the feasibility of the development of mobile enterprise strategic plan, analyze the academic process and the utilization of information technology (IT), and generate documentation IT strategic planning by implementing Mobile Enterprise Architecture in the academic process of Atma Jaya University in Makassar. Data were taken from distributing questionnaires to 297 respondents and conducting interviews to 18 respondents. Data were examined using SWOT analysis, the incorporation of academic scorecard analysis and IT balanced scorecard analysis, financial analysis, as well as analytic hierarchy process (AHP). SWOT analysis results indicate that case study is in a weak position, which possibly never take advantage of opportunities since the weakness of the stand or the power is not enough to work on it. In addition, the results of the performance analysis of the utilization of information technology using the Balanced Scorecard analysis show that the average performance is sufficient. The result of documentation of IT strategic planning was analyzed with financial analysis indicating the feasibility of implementation because it provides benefits for university of 141,32%. Furthermore, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the priority of IT strategy proposals shows that the main priority is to develop portal for student and lecturer

    Enabling Personalized Composition and Adaptive Provisioning of Web Services

    The proliferation of interconnected computing devices is fostering the emergence of environments where Web services made available to mobile users are a commodity. Unfortunately, inherent limitations of mobile devices still hinder the seamless access to Web services, and their use in supporting complex user activities. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a distributed, adaptive, and context-aware framework for personalized service composition and provisioning adapted to mobile users. Users specify their preferences by annotating existing process templates, leading to personalized service-based processes. To cater for the possibility of low bandwidth communication channels and frequent disconnections, an execution model is proposed whereby the responsibility of orchestrating personalized processes is spread across the participating services and user agents. In addition, the execution model is adaptive in the sense that the runtime environment is able to detect exceptions and react to them according to a set of rules

    Social interactions are one of the key factors to the success of conferences and similar community gatherings. This paper describes a novel application that integrates data from the semantic web, online social networks, and a real-world contact sensing platform. This application was successfully deployed at ESWC09, and actively used by 139 people. Personal profiles of the participants were automatically generated using several Web~2.0 systems and semantic academic data sources, and integrated in real-time with face-to-face contact networks derived from wearable sensors. Integration of all these heterogeneous data layers made it possible to offer various services to conference attendees to enhance their social experience such as visualisation of contact data, and a site to explore and connect with other participants. This paper describes the architecture of the application, the services we provided, and the results we achieved in this deployment

    Designing an Architectural Model of Crisis Management Information System for Natural Disasters in Iran

    Introduction: The crisis management information system (CMIS) is a mission-critical system that enables the crisis management team for understanding, diagnosing, interpreting, analyzing, structuring, and making decisions faster by providing timely and high-quality information at the right time. The purpose of this research is to provide an architectural model of a CMIS for managing natural disasters in the process of finding trapped victims and relieving them. Materials and Methods: This applied study was conducted in 2020 in two stages. First, data on CMIS used in selected countries were collected from electronic resources and digital libraries and were then analyzed. Next, a preliminary model of CMIS architecture including three aspects of informational content, applications, and technological requirements, was prepared using these systems and experts’ interviews. Finally, the architectural model of CMIS validated by the Delphi technique and the focus group. Results: The analysis of experts in three rounds of Delphi test for three aspects of informational content, applications and technological requirements in the architectural model was performed with the presence of experts at the national level and the consensus rate over 75% was obtained for 7 modules and 28 proposed components of the CMIS. Conclusion: The architecture of information systems has a direct impact on the performance of these systems. Using an appropriate architecture for CMIS can be an effective step towards reducing the costs and consequences of crises in Iran and countries with similar conditions and have a significant impact on saving human lives in emergency situations
