Ex parte interviews of nonparty witnesses are commonly used by attorneys in determining whether witnesses have sufficiently valuable information to warrant taking their deposition or using their testimony at trial as well as in actually preparing witnesses to testify. In the Brandt cases, the Missouri Supreme Court permitted ex parte communications between a plaintiffs physicians and defense counsel. This Note will examine the reasoning behind the court\u27s decision and compare the Brandt decision to various approaches taken by other jurisdictions to resolve the apparent conflict between the physician-patient relationship and informal discovery methods such as ex parte communications

The JSU Yearbook Collection spans the years from 1926 to the present. The publication began in 1926 as the Teacola (some volumes spelled Teacoala ) and continued under this title through 1933. The yearbook appears to have ceased printing after that year; the student newspaper took the name Teacola (later changed to the Collegian and finally the Chanticleer) and began publication in 1934. The yearbook started up again in 1947 under the name Mimosa, first biennially, then annually. The Library holds all volume years that were printed: 1926-1933, 1947-1948, 1950, 1952-present.https://digitalcommons.jsu.edu/lib-ac-yearbook/1048/thumbnail.jp

During the 2006-2007 school year, students participated in everything from palooza, to studying at the library, to having fun at Cowboys. With the fall semester beginning, students looked forward to attending athletic activities, homecoming, and the Miss Southwestern Pageant. Spring semester started out a little slick, causing the campus to close for the first time in several years. Despite a chilly start, the semester warmed up in March when actor Pauly Shore visited campus for Panorama. With spring break approaching, students were anxious for a break from studying. When classes resumed, everyone was looking forward to summer. With finals standing in the way, students went to the library to begin studying. With the semester ending in May, graduation opened a new beginning for the class of 2007.https://dc.swosu.edu/yearbooks/1122/thumbnail.jp
