A study on the influence of technologies applied to organizational performance learning in the hotel sector
Hotel sector is one of the most influenced by the new information and communication technologies (ICTs) since it
generates a vast amount of information which circulates through these new technologies. Additionally, the latter could
be a potential source of organizational performance. This paper has an exploratory character and analyses how the new
ICTs influence the hotels’ organizational performance. Thus, a descriptive statistical analysis and a study of statistical
associations through Cramer’s V have been carried out using data from 106 Valencian Community hotel establishments.
The results show, on the one hand, that Internet and Intranet are the most influential technologies on intra-organizational
level and, on the other hand, show that the Central Reservation Systems -CRS- and web 2.0 are the most important on
an inter-organizational level. Both technologies affect most of the analysed results at organizational level

Una biografía tecnológica de la industria
[ES] La presente investigación tiene por objetivo analizar el historial de aprendizaje de los líderes empresariales del sector productivo, denominada biografía tecnológica. La intención de la biografía tecnológica es el construir una ruta de aprendizaje de quienes están al frente de la industria. La metodología de evaluación se define con un enfoque cuantitativo, orientado a la etnografía digital. Se realiza una intervención aplicando un instrumento de medición en base a la autopercepción de los líderes participantes. En el análisis se profundiza sobre las habilidades y la intensidad de uso de herramientas tecnológicas, mismas que se distinguen por brindar soluciones a las empresas, eficientando sus procesos internos y externos. El caso de estudio se enfoca en la industria de las energías renovables, seleccionada por el impacto del sector a nivel mundial y por considerarse uno de los principales gremios de desarrollo en México. Se estudian las pequeñas y medianas empresas en el estado de Baja California, ubicado en el límite territorial del norte de México, uno de los estados con mayor potencial para la generación de energía renovable en el país, debido a sus condiciones geográficas y naturales, con proyectos de energía solar, eólica, geotérmica, mareomotriz y de biomasa. Los resultados de la biografía tecnológica dan evidencias positivas, debido a que exponen competencias tecnológicas a un nivel alto de los líderes respecto a la interacción con dispositivos y aplicaciones. Increasing the commitment of students toward corporate social responsibility through higher education instruction
This research was funded by R&D Projects. European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Andalusia 2014–2020 Operational Program, grant number B1-SEJ-387-UGR18.The corporate social responsibility strategies that companies will incorporate depend on the
commitments and decisions that future generations will make. Under the Principles for Responsible
Management Education framework, universities must foster skills that will influence the
ethical behaviours and decisions of their students so that they can respond to the new needs of
business. In the business world, ethical commitment is articulated through corporate social responsibility
(CSR); therefore, it is of interest to know the extent to which a university’s ethical
instruction is received by students and the factors that influence it, as well as the extent to which
they are associated with their orientation toward CSR.
This study analyses the impact of university instruction in business ethics on students’ economic
and social visions and the effect they have on their orientation toward CSR. Based on the
answers to a questionnaire from a sample of 151 students, the relationship between ethical instruction
and CSR orientation and the factors that reinforce this relationship are analysed using
structural equations. The results show that the instruction given, family education (values) and
social vision are positively associated with the students’ orientation toward CSR, while economic
vision, which is traditionally transmitted through the subjects of the degree, is negatively

Technological Antecedents of Entrepreneurship and its Consequences for Organizational Performance
Under conditions of rapid change, companies compete intensely to achieve
competitive advantages. Through technology, they differentiate themselves from other
companies to obtain a better market position. Decisions concerning technological variables
are thus essential to a firm’s overall competitive strategy, positioning and emplacement. Our
research analyses how top management support for technology and technology skills enables
technology acquisition, integration and infrastructure in firms, influencing organizational
performance through corporate entrepreneurship. The analysis is performed using Structural
Equation Model with a sample of 201 Spanish technological firms. The results show that

Fostering Corporate Entrepreneurship with the use of social media tools.
The strategic use of Social Media can leverage innovation, relationships with customers, and the
entrepreneurial orientation of the firm, as it provides useful knowledge to find new
opportunities for innovation. Despite the relevance of this phenomenon to current hypercompetitive
environments, empirical research on the topic remains scarce. To advance
knowledge of this issue, the main purpose of the paper is to examine how Social Media use
impacts the different dimensions of Corporate Entrepreneurship. Building on a sample of 201
technological firms, findings confirm that the use of Social Media tools impacted all dimensions
of Corporate Entrepreneurship and enhanced firm performance. This paper contributes to the
literature by empirically confirming how Social Media use helps to create business value. The
study results also have important implications for managers, as they show the pathway
managers must follow to harness the benefits of Social Media use to become more

FOLGA ORGANIZACIONAL: ANÁLISE EM UMA PERSPECTIVA COMPORTAMENTAL NO CAMPO EMPÍRICO
Este estudo objetiva verificar como se apresenta a folga organizacional no campo empírico. Diferente das proposições observadas na literatura de identificar medidas para calcular a folga organizacional, esta investigação concentra-se nas características predominantemente subjetivas da folga, visando ao entendimento deste conceito sob a perspectiva comportamental. Assim, pesquisa indutiva e exploratória, com abordagem qualitativa, foi realizada a partir de um estudo de caso em uma empresa do setor têxtil. As categorias de folga organizacional foram extraídas da literatura e consubstanciadas em um roteiro de entrevista, aplicado a sete diretores/gerentes da empresa. As entrevistas foram analisadas por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo e trianguladas com fontes documentais e de mídias. Os resultados da pesquisa denotam presença de folga organizacional nas perspectivas de recursos (humanos, físicos e financeiros), tempo e poder. Contudo, o construto desenvolvido para aferir a presença da folga organizacional não investigou as motivações, o que indica uma lacuna de pesquisa
La tecnología en el proceso de contratación: Uleplus 2.13 = Technology in the hiring process: Uleplus 2.13
La necesidad de adaptar las empresas a las nuevas tecnologías y al formato digital les ofrece muchas oportunidades a la hora de diferenciarse de sus competidores, especialmente en el campo de los recursos humanos que suponen un activo intangible para la empresa. El departamento de recursos humanos se encarga de una gran diversidad temática, por lo que este trabajo se centrará en el proceso de contratación, y cómo puede influir una aplicación que se encarga de que el proceso sea más rápido y tenga menos costes. Por ello, la idea consiste en realizar un sistema de información de los recursos humanos para la administración de empleados en empresas del sector industrial: “Uleplus 2.13”, proporcionará una serie de servicios que permitirá a la empresa reducir tiempos y costes en la elección y selección de trabajadores y obtener una plataforma digital a bajo coste y sin la necesidad de una infraestructura especifica. Finalmente, en la parte práctica, se puede ver cómo influye un Sistema de Información de Recursos Humanos en el proceso y cómo influye en las diferentes fases del proceso de contratación en la empresa manufacturer
