Efectivos reproductores y productividad del Halcón peregrino Falco peregrinus brokeii en las islas Pitiüses (Baleares). Se presentan los resultados del segundo recuento de Halcón peregrino Falco peregrinus brokeii en el archipiélago Pitiuso (Baleares), con un total de 38 parejas reproductoras. En la isla de Eivissa se asienta el 55,2% de las parejas, en Formentera el 18,4% y los islotes acogen el 26,3% de las parejas de F. p. brokeii. La densidad de las islas Pitiüses es de una pareja por cada 17,1 km2 . Se ha obtenido la productividad, mediante una muestra que equivale al 26,3% del total de la población reproductora, siendo la media de 2,3 pollos por nido. La distancia media entre nidos es de 3,3 km, y la distancia mínima es de 1,2 km.Reproductive numbers and productivity of the Peregrine Falcon Falco peregrinus brokeii in the Pitiuse Islands (Balearics). The results are given of the second census of the Peregrine Falcon Falco peregrinus brokeii in the Pitiuse archipielago (Balearics), totalling 38 breeding pairs. The island of Ibiza hosts 55.2% of the F. p. brokeii pairs, Formentera 18.4% and the offshore islands 26.3%. The density in the Pituise islands is one pair per 17.1 km2 . Productivity figures were derived from a sample amounting to 26.3% of the total breeding population, and was 2.3 chicks per nest. In memoriam Falco peregrinus

1885 finden sich dann gleich zwei Brüterwähnungen. Eine davon betrifft ein Gelege an den Externsteinen, das vier Eier enthielt. Nachdem eine Zerstörung durch Menschen verhindert werden konnte, wurde das Gelege von Mardern geraubt. In dieser ersten Erwähnung werden bereits die Punkte deutlich, die den Kampf um die Erhaltung des Wanderfalken in unserem Jahrhundert prägen: Zunächst muß der Falke vor den Nachstellungen seines ärgsten Feindes, des Menschen, geschützt werden. Aber selbst wenn das gelingt, treten oft noch natürliche Verluste ein. Diesen Kampf, eigentlich als Hauptthema für diesen Artikel gedacht, möchte ich im folgenden einerseits an der Geschichte der einzelnen Horste, andererseits aber auch an Beispielen aus Presseartikeln, die die Einstellung gegenüber unseren Greifen verdeutlichen, sowie an gerichtlichem Vorgehen gegen die illegal handelnden Greifvogelfeinde, darstellen. Das Material darüber konnte ich zum großen Teil der Akte HEINZ KUHLMANNs entnehmen, der den bei seinen vielfältigen und aufopfernden Bemühungen geführten Briefwechsel abheftete. Allgemeineres, zusammenfassendes Material stellte mir Herr Conrads zur Verfügung, Angaben über die Aussprengung des Horstes an der Velmerstot erhielt ich von Herrn Oberförster i.R. Klocke und Herrn Henschel, dem zuständigen Sachbearbeiter beim Regierungspräsidenten in Detmold. Ihnen und allen genannten Helfern bin ich für ihre bereitwillige Unterstützung sehr dankbar

Горная система Демерджи в Крыму - территория, важная для сохранения разнообразия птиц

Представлены результаты орнитологических исследований в горной системе Демерджи в 2002 г. Всего в весенне-летний период район населяет около 40 видов птиц. Представлены данные по лесному (21 вид), скальному (7 видов), степному (9 видов) орнитокомплексам и по 8 видам, занесенным в Красную книгу Украины (Circaetus gallicus, Aguila heliaca, Aegypius monachus, Gyps fulvus, Falco cherrug, Falco peregrinus, Bubo bubo, Monticola saxatilis). Данная территория является перспективной для включения в сеть IBA.Представлено результати орнітологічних досліджень у гірській системі Демерджі у 2002 р. Всього в літньо-осінній період район населяє близько 40 видів птахів. Наведено дані щодо лісового (21 вид), скельного (7 видів), степового (9 видів) орнітокомплексів і щодо 8 видів, занесених до Червоної книги України (Circaetus gallicus, Aguila heliaca, Aegypius monachus, Gyps fulvus, Falco cherrug, Falco peregrinus, Bubo bubo, Monticola saxatilis). Окреслена територія є перспективною для включення до мережі ІВА.The results of ornithological investigation of a system of the Demerdzhy Mountains in 2002 year are presented. This territory is promising to be included in the list of IBA

Población reproductora de halcón peregrino en Menorca. Se ha llevado a cabo en Menorca (Islas Baleares) un censo de la población reproductora de halcón peregrino Falco peregrinus, habiéndose estimado su población entre 40-45 parejas, lo que muestra una densidad de 6.4 parejas/ 100 km2 . Sitúan sus nidos principalmente en acantilados costeros (67%) y en menor medida en barrancos (20%) y en acantilados interiores (13%). Se ha encontrado una productividad de 2.75 pollos volados/pareja.Breeding population of peregrine falcon in Menorca.
