    Preliminary study on decision making factors to replace medical equipment in hospital

    Get PDF
    Maintaining medical equipment in hospital is a cost-deprived process yet is a crucial process that needs to be looked into. Maintaining is an ongoing process that starts with installation and ended up with disposed. The cost for maintaining equipment is often held a large portion in life cycle costing and huge amount of money need to be allocated to complete this process. The cost invested on maintaining the medical equipment should be worth the value without comprising the safety requirement and regulations. However, there are circumstances where hospitals are unable to decide when to dispose the equipment especially when the equipment reach the end of its life, incur high repairing cost, aging, and frequent failed to function. Management of hospital come into dead end solution as there are lack of proper guidelines on maintaining medical equipment and therefore the equipment may be over maintained or under maintained. This paper provides a review of 100 papers from credible sources on maintaining activities of equipment to identify factors that are important for decision making to replace the medical equipment

    A New Centering Table For Encapsulated Glass Positioning

    With the progress of the society, people`s living standard is increasing. More and more cars (more than 72 million) are produced and utilized all over the world. This makes a large number of quarter windows which located on the back-side window of a vehicle are urgently needed. Encapsulated glass is widely adopted for a quarter window for various advantages. Positioning by centering table is one of the most important procedures during the fabrication of encapsulated glass for the quarter window. The existing centering table has a lot of disadvantages such as poor flexibility and precision, which results in failure in production such as damage or low quality. Developing a centering system for positioning encapsulated glass with high efficiency and precision becomes very significant for the industry. In this thesis, I designed a new centering table that used a new column base structure and pins for tightness. This new centering table has a high precision while still maintain the flexibility of the table that makes the centering table can be applied to encapsulated automotive glass with other sizes and shapes

    Exploitation of the knowledge of the final demand in the piloting of a logistics chain.

    The transition from synchronous supplies to synchronous production represent a possible alternative to the neighbourhood logistics configurations, especially in the automotive industry. It allows to gain, on certain conditions, efficiency and more manoeuvrability faced with a strong variability of the demand on the supply chain. The utilization of the Order Penetration Point (OPP) will introduce problems in piloting production between clients and suppliers processes. This article is based on several working assumptions which form an algorithm for the resolution of this problem resulting from an analysis of two industrial cases with stochastic models.synchronous production; supply chain; anticipation; piloting of flows; order penetration point; kanban;

    Textile injection process characterisation by means of a spiral mould

    New developments are being carried out within the injection moulding field, such as gas injection, bi-injection, co-injection, sequential injection, compression injection or textile injection processes. These techniques require new developments as they highly modify design and process conditions. In this work, the influence over the plastic material flow of the introduction of different film textiles into the mould is measured. A specific measurement system consisting of a monitorised spiral mould with pressure sensors has been used to measure the influence of different tissues over the mould pressures. As an application of this measurement system, a viscous model is generated to characterise the rheological behaviour of the thermoplastic and textile joint. The viscous model obtained is applied on a conventional CAE tool for the simulation of textile injection pressure results for the different film textiles analysed

    It is always hard to set manufacturing systems to produce large quantities of standardized parts. Controlling these mass production lines needs deep knowledge, hard experience, and the required related tools as well. The use of modern methods and techniques to produce a large quantity of products within productive manufacturing processes provides improvements in manufacturing costs and product quality. In order to serve these purposes, this book aims to reflect on the advanced manufacturing systems of different alloys in production with related components and automation technologies. Additionally, it focuses on mass production processes designed according to Industry 4.0 considering different kinds of quality and improvement works in mass production systems for high productive and sustainable manufacturing. This book may be interesting to researchers, industrial employees, or any other partners who work for better quality manufacturing at any stage of the mass production processes

    Analysis of Influence of Masks Flow on Intake Valve of Gas and Oil Fuel Engine Based Simulation

    Turbulent flow in the combustion chamber affects the combustion process which also affects the engine performance. The turbulent flow intensity can increase the duration of combustion, but too much turbulent turbulent flow leads to a tap. In addition, turbulent flow also contributes to the gas-water mixing process. There are two types of turbulent flow that occur inside the machine, which is a current vortex and a falling current. The current whirl is better known as the swirl flow and the falling current is better known as the tumble flow. The fluid flow in the combustion chamber can be adjusted by optimizing the engine components and developing the engine design. A review has been made of the vortex and Tumble flow on a luminous spark machine and its effect on turbulence and fire propagation. From several journals available to create tumble and swirl streams in the combustion chamber, they use modifications to the intake valve by adding vin to create a swirl stream and adding a mask to create a tumble stream. to know the experiment was successful or not, first modeling and then perform simulation using CFD Ansys Fluent. for the variables choose 3mask, 4mask, and 5mask (for addition of mask) which later dilih air flow formed by the addition of mask
