Producción CientíficaThroughout the twentieth century, Friuli Venezia Giulia, the north-eastern region of Italy that borders Austria and Slovenia, played a strategic wartime role. From the Great War to the Cold War, the installation of defensive works including barracks, fortifications and infrastructure distinguished the territory. A significant rationalization in the territory and modification in the organizational structure of the Armed Forces took place from the end of the Cold War, through the EU expansion to the countries located on the north-eastern border of Italy, and up to the Army’s transformation from conscription to voluntary service. The town of Casarsa della Delizia represents a case of important significance due to the presence of the “Trieste” barracks, a settlement of extensive and significant environmental impact, a part of which has not been used for years, becoming over time a landscape-abandonment issue, on which action is needed. The paper focuses on the proposals to recover this former military area as a new integrated part of the city, merging the necessity of saving the past heritage and developing a new landscape vision, bringing together the historical and contemporary ways of living and promoting urban regeneration complex operations.European Joint Doctorate “urbanHIST”. La "Città-Territorio"

Ferrara is inscribed in the World Heritage List of UNESCO since 1995, according to this criterion: "considering that the site is of outstanding universal value, being a Renaissance city, remarkably planned, which has retained its urban fabric virtually intact and for representing the concept of the "ideal city"… the completion of this project marked the birth of modern town planning and influenced its subsequent development". SInce 1999 UNESCO decided to adjoin the Este ducal residences in the Po Delta, so now the inscription is: "Ferrara, City of the Renaissance and its Po Delta" which illustrate the influence of Renaissance culture on the natural landscape in an exceptional manner. The Delta can be defined a "cultural landscape", an "open air museum" and a "technological landscape" for the presence of castles and rural residences named "delizie", as Belriguardo, Verginese, Mesola, rich from the artistic point of view, and for of the big work of drainage and canalizing until the sea, where the gulf of Goro was supposed to become a big port contrasting the trades of Venice. The Master of land reclamation, Alfonso II was the last of the Este family, so Ferrara and the Delta became part of the Vatican State and all the land works were abandoned

Tomate en agriculture biologique : essai variétal sous tunnel froid : compte-rendu d'essai 2005

La production de tomate biologique tient une place importante sous abri froid en Provence. Le choix variétal est limité aux variétés disponibles en semences biologiques ou non traitées. En circuit long, la filière impose des caractéristiques similaires à celles du marché conventionnel : bonne fermeté, forme et coloration régulières, absence de défaut visuel; le choix variétal s'oriente donc vers des variétés "classiques", de type mid-life : Brenda et Paola (semences biologiques), Pétula (semences non traitées) … qui assurent un bon rendement commercial (faible taux de déchets) et présentent de nombreux gènes de résistances aux maladies, mais dont la qualité gustative est souvent décevante. En circuit court, les maraîchers ont une réflexion accrue sur la qualité gustative, notamment en vente directe (marchés, paniers hebdomadaires) ; la gamme variétale est beaucoup plus diversifiée et comporte parfois les variétés classiques (mid-life), mais elle intègre surtout des variétés cultivées pour leur qualité gustative : - variétés "traditionnelles" : Cobra, Delizia, Montfavet, Marmande … A fruits rouges, souvent plats et à collet vert, ces variétés présentent une qualité commerciale jugée moyenne : fermeté inférieure aux variétés classiques, risque supérieur de déchets (fentes, collet jaune, fruits déformés …). Ces variétés plus ou moins récentes ne sont pas toujours pourvues de résistance génétique aux maladies, mais elles sont choisies pour leur aspect et surtout leur qualité gustative réputée meilleure que les variétés classiques. - variétés anciennes : réputées pour leur bonne qualité gustative et offrant une grande diversité de formes et de couleurs, elles tiennent une place de choix dans les exploitations pratiquant la vente directe. Elles sont souvent dépourvues de résistance génétique aux maladies (clairement identifiée) et leurs fruits peuvent être fragiles; leur potentiel de rendement est mal connu. Pour mieux connaître les caractéristiques des variétés traditionnelles et anciennes par rapport aux variétés "classiques", un essai variétal a été réalisé au GRAB, en conditions de culture représentatives de la production régionale (tunnel froid, plantation fin mars, récolte en vrac de juin à août)
