    The main advances regarding the use of the Choquet and Sugeno integrals in multi-criteria decision aid over the last decade are reviewed. They concern mainly a bipolar extension of both the Choquet integral and the Sugeno integral, interesting particular submodels, new learning techniques, a better interpretation of the models and a better use of the Choquet integral in multi-criteria decision aid.     Analyzing the solutions of DEA through information visualization and data mining techniques: SmartDEA framework

    Data envelopment analysis (DEA) has proven to be a useful tool for assessing efficiency or productivity of organizations, which is of vital practical importance in managerial decision making. DEA provides a significant amount of information from which analysts and managers derive insights and guidelines to promote their existing performances. Regarding to this fact, effective and methodologic analysis and interpretation of DEA solutions are very critical. The main objective of this study is then to develop a general decision support system (DSS) framework to analyze the solutions of basic DEA models. The paper formally shows how the solutions of DEA models should be structured so that these solutions can be examined and interpreted by analysts through information visualization and data mining techniques effectively. An innovative and convenient DEA solver, SmartDEA, is designed and developed in accordance with the proposed analysis framework. The developed software provides a DEA solution which is consistent with the framework and is ready-to-analyze with data mining tools, through a table-based structure. The developed framework is tested and applied in a real world project for benchmarking the vendors of a leading Turkish automotive company.     New Challenges in Neutrosophic Theory and Applications

    Neutrosophic theory has representatives on all continents and, therefore, it can be said to be a universal theory. On the other hand, according to the three volumes of “The Encyclopedia of Neutrosophic Researchers” (2016, 2018, 2019), plus numerous others not yet included in Encyclopedia book series, about 1200 researchers from 73 countries have applied both the neutrosophic theory and method. Neutrosophic theory was founded by Professor Florentin Smarandache in 1998; it constitutes further generalization of fuzzy and intuitionistic fuzzy theories. The key distinction between the neutrosophic set/logic and other types of sets/logics lies in the introduction of the degree of indeterminacy/neutrality (I) as an independent component in the neutrosophic set. Thus, neutrosophic theory involves the degree of membership-truth (T), the degree of indeterminacy (I), and the degree of non-membership-falsehood (F). In recent years, the field of neutrosophic set, logic, measure, probability and statistics, precalculus and calculus, etc., and their applications in multiple fields have been extended and applied in various fields, such as communication, management, and information technology. We believe that this book serves as useful guidance for learning about the current progress in neutrosophic theories. In total, 22 studies have been presented and reflect the call of the thematic vision. The contents of each study included in the volume are briefly described as follows. The first contribution, authored by Wadei Al-Omeri and Saeid Jafari, addresses the concept of generalized neutrosophic pre-closed sets and generalized neutrosophic pre-open sets in neutrosophic topological spaces. In the article “Design of Fuzzy Sampling Plan Using the Birnbaum-Saunders Distribution”, the authors Muhammad Zahir Khan, Muhammad Farid Khan, Muhammad Aslam, and Abdur Razzaque Mughal discuss the use of probability distribution function of Birnbaum–Saunders distribution as a proportion of defective items and the acceptance probability in a fuzzy environment. Further, the authors Derya Bakbak, Vakkas Uluc¸ay, and Memet S¸ahin present the “Neutrosophic Soft Expert Multiset and Their Application to Multiple Criteria Decision Making” together with several operations defined for them and their important algebraic properties. In “Neutrosophic Multigroups and Applications”, Vakkas Uluc¸ay and Memet S¸ahin propose an algebraic structure on neutrosophic multisets called neutrosophic multigroups, deriving their basic properties and giving some applications to group theory. Changxing Fan, Jun Ye, Sheng Feng, En Fan, and Keli Hu introduce the “Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Method Using Heronian Mean Operators under a Bipolar Neutrosophic Environment” and test the effectiveness of their new methods.     Assessing and predicting the students’ systems thinking preference: multi-criteria decision making and machine learning

    The 21st century is marked by a technological revolution that features digital implementation and high interconnectivity between systems across different domains, such as transportation, agriculture, education, and health. Although these technological changes resulted in modern systems capable of easing individuals’ lives, these systems are increasingly complex, and that increased complexity is only expected to continue. The increased system complexity is due to the rapid exchange of information between subsystems, which creates high interconnectivity and interdependence between the subsystems and their elements. Workforce skill sets, as a result, must be modified appropriately to ensure the systems’ success. Systems Thinking is an approach that helps individuals better understand and effectively solve modern complex systems problems by encouraging holistic thinking. Systems thinking consists of two approaches holistic and reductionist views. This dissertation aims to study college engineering and non-engineering students’ preference for holistic thinking versus reductionist thinking, their ranking to the systems thinking dimensions, and whether this preference varies depending on demographics and general factors. Additionally, this study investigates the possibility of predicting the students’ preference for holistic thinking. The study uses the multi-criteria decision-making method, the Analytic Hierarchy Process and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process to determine the student’s preferences, and uses statistical analysis such as independent sample t-test and ANOVA to evaluate the factors. Also, the study uses machine learning classification models such as Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, Naïve Bayes, Decision Trees, voting classifiers, Bagging, and Random Forest to predict and evaluate the most predicting model. The results of the dissertation conclude that overall students prefer the reductionist approach and report the students’ preference towards dimensions of complexity, independence, uncertainty, systems worldview, and flexibility and the ranking difference based on some factors. Lastly, the results show that the students’ preference for holistic thinking can be predicted with a 77% accuracy using the Random Forest classifier

    Research on Risk Prediction and Early Warning of Human Resource Management Based on Machine Learning and Ontology Reasoning

    Talent is the first resource, the development of the enterprise to retain key talent is essential, the main research is based on machine learning and ontological reasoning, human resources analysis and management risk prediction and early warning methods, first of all, according to the specific situation and the target case, through the calculation of the similarity of the concept name and attribute of the similarity assessment of the source case in the case library, the matching of knowledge-based employees of the company\u27s case for the similarity prediction and human resources management risk prediction research. Then, according to the evaluation results, we can find out the most suitable job matches in specific risk problems and situations. This is a solution to the target cases and criteria for companies to evaluate candidates. Second, we have successfully developed and implemented a prediction model that applies machine learning to the early warning study of risk prediction for HR management. The model is optimized with a cross-validation function, and the convergence of the model training is accelerated by the regularization of Newton\u27s iterative method. Finally, our prediction model achieved 82% yield. Ontological reasoning and machine learning are promising in human resource management risk prediction and warning, which is proved by the high accuracy rate verified by examples. Finally, we analyze the proposed results of HRM risk prediction and early warning to contribute to the improvement of risk control and suggest measures for possible risks
