    One of the government policies in breaking the chain of spread of Covid 19 is the work from home (WFH) agenda, which in the world of education is realized through the application of online learning at all levels of education.  At Tulungagung Islamic University, online learning in all study programs including the Arabic Language and Literature study program is carried out through an e-learning application managed by the Information rechnology center and database (TIPD) University. The Arabic Language and Literature Study Program it self is actually a study program where almost all of its courses use foreign language (Arabic), so it is not surprising that the teachers also have to take advantage of other learning technologies as support. The use of other media is an effort to achieve the goals of active language learning. This has become an attraction for researchers to find out and describe various forms of e-learning in the learning system of Arabic language courses in Arabic Language and Literature study program. The method used to explore and analyze data is descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that the online learning system (in network) in Arabic language material, the Lecturers in the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program make use of college training and combine it with other learning media such as video, youtube, ppt, kine master and by utilizing social media whatsaap. , zoom, and google meet. &nbsp

    The Use of ChatGPT among Arabic Language and Literature Students: Opportunities and Challenges

    The use of AI-based chatbots such as ChatGPT offers great potential to improve the learning experience, including for Arabic Language and Literature students. On the other hand, the use of ChatGPT can also lead to excessive dependence on technology, thereby ignoring other learning sources and even ignoring academic morals and ethics. Therefore, this research aims to explore the use of ChatGPT among Arabic language and literature students, with a focus on the opportunities and challenges faced. This type of research is field research using a qualitative approach. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews as a data collection technique. The data obtained was then analyzed through three stages, transcribing data, member checking, and coding. The research results show that Arabic language and literature students use ChatGPT more for their assignment needs, especially assignments related to papers writing. Apart from that, they also use ChatGPT to find out about Arabic literary theories and the writers with their biographies, generate creative ideas, translate texts, look for references and thesis themes, and even use ChatGPT as a discussion partner. But unfortunately, they have not maximized ChatGPT as a medium to strengthen their Arabic language skills. The ability to validate information obtained via ChatGPT is also a very important issue so that students obtain reliable and accountable knowledge

    This article is entitled "The Contribution of Philology to the Study of Arabic Language and Literature". This study aims to reveal the usefulness of a theory called philology in the development of Arabic literature and language studies. This analysis uses a descriptive method with the scope of research on the contribution of Arabic manuscripts as objects in philological theory to the study of Arabic language and literature. The results of this study indicate that philology as a theory with the object of study of manuscripts which is predominantly Arabic helps to maintain the continuity of studies in other scientific fields.     Socio-Cultural Factors in Transdisciplinary Research in Arabic Language and Literature

    The aim of this paper is to look into factors in transdisciplinary Research in Arabic Language and Literature. The scientific and technological knowledge needed for understanding of these transformations is distributed over a broad spectrum of disciplines and professions committed to incommensurable values, different theoretical concepts and conflicting methodological orientation. Therefore, a strong demand for integrated knowledge has arisen with the aim of improving both explanatory power and usefulness for problem solving. Employing a distinction between three structural levels of discourse a methodological framework for sustainability oriented research is sketched. This paper looks at how transdisciplinary research, which combines knowledge from different scientific disciplines with that of public and private sector stakeholders and citizens, can be used to address complex societal challenges. This includes developing effective response in acute crises, such as the covid-19 pandemic, as well as longer-term solutions for sustainability development. In a series of 28 caste studies, report, it identifies the key obstacles of effectively implementing transdisciplinary research many of these are embedded in the way that research systems are structured and managed and they are amenable to policy intervention. Examples of how various actors, including finding agencies and universalities are adapting to better accommodate the requirements of transdisciplinary research are included in the report and related policy actions are ascribed for these actor

    Islamic Boarding School of Darul Amin Bustanul Arifin is one of the Islamic boarding schools located in the Mandailing Natal regency. Based on preliminary research in the field by interviewing the students, the Arabic speaking skill of the students at the Islamic Boarding School of Darul Amin Bustanul Arifin was considered as low. In consequence, the team of community service consisting of Arabic language and literature lecturers was motivated to organize a relevant program on Arabic language enhancement through training in speech or khithabah. This training was hoped to give an improvement on students’ Arabic speaking skills. In addition, this program was expected to trigger the students to be self-confident to deliver a speech in front of the audience, particularly when expressing ideas, sharing new knowledge, and preaching religious messages to society. This program applied two methods namely the speech method delivered by the team of community service consisting of Arabic language and literature lecturers and the communicative method through question-answer sessions related to the program’s materials which were strengthened by displaying the speech text and allowing students to practice the speech by turns. The program of community service conducted by the team of Arabic Language and literature lecturers at the Islamic boarding school of Darul Amin Bustanul Arifin run very well. The result of the program is expected to give benefit students’ Arabic speaking skills pertinently improving their self-confidence for speech delivery in front of the audience.Keywords: training of speech, Speaking Skills, Islamic boarding school, Darul Amin Bustanul Arifin

    An insight into internship program for undergraduate Arabic language learners in Malaysia

    This study attempts to investigate the outcome of the internship training program in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Methodologically, this study was conducted to gather the opinions and experience on the internship program among Arabic language and literature students. The participants were purposively selected from 57 out of 66 students who have completed their three months internship program either in the public or private sector from July to September 2015 by using an online survey and open-ended questionnaire. General findings from this study show that internship training has essentially improved their soft skills and increased their workplace literacy and well-being. Despite the poor perception of Arabic language in the mutual graduate employability as well as its practicality aspects and job market by the industry, Arabic language and literature students are well accepted in both private and public sectors to undertake their internship training as reported in this article. In conclusion, internship training is crucial, particularly among Arabic language and literature students as it enriches their experiences, knowledge and skills in both their personal and social life. It also increased their level of confidence to explore their future opportunity in the Malaysian job market including setting up their own businesses through entrepreneurship knowledge and skil

    MakaleArapça, dünya üzerinde en çok konuşulan birkaç dil arasındadır. Şöhretini de öncelikle son peygamberin Araplar içerisinden seçilmesine ve ona indirilen Kur’an’a borçludur. Arapça, Kur’an-ı Kerim’in dili olması sebebiyle Müslümanlar için herhangi bir dilden çok daha fazlasını ifade eder. Hz. Peygamber’in konuştuğu ve hadisleri vasıtasıyla İslam’ı anlattığı dil de Arapçadır. Ayrıca Kıraat, Tefsir, Hadis, Fıkıh ve Kelâm gibi temel İslam bilimlerinin ana kaynaklarının da Arapça olması bu dilin önemini bir kat daha artırmaktadır. Çünkü bu temel eserleri anlamanın ilk şartı Arapçayı iyi bilmektir. Arapça, namazda okunan Kur’an’ın dili olmasının yanı sıra aynı zamanda namaza çağıran ezanın da dilidir. Bu sayede, rengi, ırkı, milliyeti, kültürü ve yaşadığı coğrafya birbirinden farklı olan milyonlarca insan, dünyanın herhangi bir yerinde aynı camide bir imamın arkasında namaz kılmakta ve ümmet bilinci ile bir arada hareket edebilmektedir. Ayrıca İslam’ı seçen her milletin dil ve kültüründe yer etmiş yüzlerce Arapça kelime, ortak bir kültür mirası oluşturmaktadır. Arap dili ve edebiyatının İslam kültür ve medeniyetine etkisi büyük ölçüde Kur’an sayesinde olmuştur. Dolayısıyla üç bölümden oluşan bu çalışma, Kur’an’ın temel bazı özellikleri ile Arap diline yaptığı katkıya değindikten sonra, Arap dili ve edebiyatının İslam medeniyeti için önemini ve etkisini ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir.Arabic is one of the most spoken languages in the world. First of all the reputation of the last prophet from the Arabs and the Qurʾān was revealed to him. Arabic means much more than any language for Muslims because it is the Qurʾān's language. The Arabic language that the Prophet spoke of and told about Islam through his hadiths. In addition, the main sources of basic Islamic sciences such as Qirā'āt, Tafsīr, Ḥadīth, Fiqh and Theology have been Arabic and this importance of language increases. Because the first condition of understanding these basic works is to know Arabic well. In addition to being the language of the Qurʾān read in prayer, Arabic is also the language of the call to prayer. Thus, millions of people, whose color, race, nationality, culture and geography are different from each other, perform a prayer behind an imam in the same mosque anywhere in the world and act together with the consciousness of the Ummah. In addition, hundreds of Arabic words in the language and culture of every nation that has chosen Islam constitute a common cultural heritage. The influence of Arabic language and literature on Islamic culture and civilization has been largely thanks to the Qurʾān. Therefore, this study, which consists of three parts, aims to reveal the importance and influence of Arabic languageand literature for Islamic civilization after mentioning some of the basic features of the Qurʾān and its contribution to the Arabic language

    The Learning situation during the pandemic of Covid-19 was very concerning and giving impact on students' understanding. Mind Map strategy is one of the most effective ways to streamline and improve the quality of learning. This study aimed to determine the extent to which students' responses and perceptions in implementing mind map-based Arabic language learning strategies for students of the Arabic Language and Literature Department fifth semester of Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri Majene, West Sulawesi. This research was classified as a quantitative research with a survey research design. The data source for this research was students of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature in the fifth semester of Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri Majene, West Sulawesi. The data collection was carried out through interviews with respondents and using a questionnaire which was distributed to respondents after learning using the mind map strategy. The data analysis used was descriptive and a Likert scale was used to measure and to identify qualitative and quantitative data. The results of this study were students' responses to the learning strategies of ilmu Badi' based on mind maps increased their grade significantly.  Student's perception of the learning strategy stated they understood the material easier, more efficient, and more enjoyable. They were given time to understand the material. These results confirmed the previous studies results and became recommendation about the application of a Mind Map strategy in learning which was efficient and able to increase students' understanding
