Esperienza di interoperabilità tra servizi interbibliotecari tramite protocollo ISO-ILL. Colloquio standard ILL- SBN/aleph e ILL-SBN /sebina open library

L’intervento illustra le caratteristiche di interoperabilità di ILL-SBN e in particolare l’integrazione in modalità standard ISO-ILL con i software Aleph500 e Sebina OpenLibrary. Il colloquio con le biblioteche Aleph è stato reso possibile dalla cooperazione con l’Associazione Italiana Utenti ExLibris (ITALE) che ha portato all’approfondimento dello standard (con revisione delle rispettive configurazioni) e all’interoperabilità tra i due sistemi attraverso la realizzazione di un gateway HTTP/TCP-IP. Il colloquio con le biblioteche Sebina OpenLibrary è stato realizzato direttamente via http in modalità nativa ILL- SBN. L’intervento descrive inoltre l’esperienza comune nell’ambito del Gruppo di lavoro per il colloquio tra ILL- SBN e altri applicativi, le riflessioni e le esigenze emerse e i vantaggi per le biblioteche; propone infine la cooperazione allargata per la realizzazione di un servizio nazionale integrato.The aim of this paper is to explain how ILL-SBN can interoperate with other ILS, with particular reference to Sebina OpenLibrary and Aleph500. Interoperability with Aleph500 has been obtained through cooperation with ITALE (Italian association of Ex Libris users); extensive testing has brought to review the configurations of both ILL-SBN and Aleph installations and to realize a HTTP/TCP-IP gateway. Interoperability with Sebina OpenLibrary has been made directly via HTTP. The paper describes also the experience of the working group and what we think are the advantages of cooperation and interoperability in the present Italian situation. Our proposal is to broaden the cooperation with a view to realize a national integrated service

Vom Zettelkatalog zum Volltext

Der Katalog der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek (ÖNB) hat, seit seiner ersten Erscheinungsform als Bandkatalog 1576, eine lange Entwicklung durchgemacht. Zu Beginn dieser Arbeit, im Historischen Abriss, wird kurz auf die Kataloggeschichte der ÖNB eingegangen, danach folgt die Darstellung der verschiedenen Retrokatalogisierungs- sowie den Katalogoptimierungsprojekten. Im Jahr 1997 stand die Retrokatalogisierung im Vordergrund, bei der die maschinengetippten Katalogzettel gescannt, OCR gelesen und über den KatZoom (eine Software-Eigenentwicklung) online zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. 1992 begann man mit der EDV-unterstützen Katalogisierung im Bibliothekssystem BIBOS. Mit der Umstellung 1999 auf das neue Bibliothekssystem Aleph500 wurden die Daten aus BIBOS als ONB01 in das neue System konvertiert. Im Jahr 2000 wurden der alte Nominalkatalog (1501-1929) und der dazugehörige Schlagwortkatalog konvertiert und als ONB02 nach Aleph500 migriert. Im darauffolgenden Jahr wurden auch der neue Nominalkatalog (1930-1991, sog. PI-Katalog) und der dazugehörende Schlagwortkatalog konvertiert und als ONB03 nach Aleph500 migriert. Parallel dazu wurden auch andere Sammlungskataloge, wie z.B. der Katalog in der Musiksammlung oder der Kartensammlung, bearbeitet. Für die Jahre 2007-2011 wurde ein Strategieplan zur Katalogoptimierung erarbeitet, der zum Ziel hatte, dass in Zukunft der Bestand über eine integrierte Gesamtsuche zugänglich sein soll. Dafür war die Implementierung von Suchmaschinen-Technologie für den OPAC geplant. Deswegen mussten in Folge die damals noch getrennten drei Druckschriftenkataloge (ONB01, ONB02 und ONB03) zusammengeführt werden. Zu diesem Zweck wurden zuerst in der ONB03 die Impressen aus dem Textblock herausgelöst. Dasselbe galt für die Impressen aus der ONB02. Danach wurden in beiden Katalogen die Verweisungen mit den dazugehörigen Hauptaufnahmen zusammengeführt. Schließlich wurden die beiden historischen Kataloge in die ONB01 migriert. Darauf folgte der Abgleich der Schlagworte aus der ONB03 mit der Schlagwortnormdatei. In Folge wurden auch die Schlagworte der ONB02 mit der Normdatei abgeglichen. Im April 2011 wurde dann die einheitliche Suchoberfläche Quick Search implementiert. Doch auch wichtige Projekte zur Kataloganreicherung (wie z.B. IV-Scan) und Projekte zur Massendigitalisierung, wie ANNO (Austrian Newspaper Online) und ALEX (Historische österreichische Rechts- und Gesetzestexte), werden in meiner Arbeit behandelt. Diese Master-These soll eine kompakte Zusammenfassung aller wichtigen Retro- und Katalogoptimierungsprojekte der ÖNB bieten.The catalogue of the Austrian National Library (ANL) has undergone many changes over the centuries. Its first appearance as a book can be dated to the year 1576; now in 2012 we have an OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) with one single search interface. The Thesis starts with a review of the catalogue's history, further on I describe the re-cataloguing as well as the recent digitalization projects. In 1997 re-cataloguing was the main issue for the ANL. All typed catalogue cards were scanned and stored as images in a database called KatZoom, a creation of the ANL. From 1992 all acquisitions were directly catalogued into the library system BIBOS. In 1999 BIBOS was replaced by the new library system Aleph500 and all the data beginning from 1992 was placed into the new system as ONB01. In 2000 the old alphabetical catalogue from 1501-1929 and its subject heading catalogue were converted into Aleph500 as catalogue ONB02. During the following year also the new alphabetical catalogue 1930-1991 and its subject heading catalogue were converted into Aleph500 as catalogue ONB03. Parallel to these works also smaller catalogues of the ANL were converted e.g. the catalogue of the map or the music department. From 2007 to 2011 a corporate strategic plan to tweak the catalogues was put into motion, with the main idea to optimize the data based search. In order to achieve this goal, search engine technology was to be implemented with the aim to merge all three main catalogues (ONB02, ONB03, ONB01) as preliminary step. In a first step the imprints had to be extracted from the catalogues ONB02 and ONB03. Additionally the subject headings and the cross references of these catalogues had to be standardized and merged. In April 2011, after all these projects had been finalised successfully, the catalogue search engine Primo was launched under the name "Quick Search". My Thesis will also describe the important mass digitalization projects at the ANL called ANNO (Austrian Newspaper Online), ALEX (Austrian Legal Text) and ABO (Austrian Books Online). My intention was to create a work of reference for the library and for all those, who are interested in these topics
