Insgesamt für 34 Filme (wenige davon mit Fortsetzungen) schrieb Dmitrij Sostakovic begleitende Filmmusik. Er galt als guter Improvisator am Klavier, was ihm zu einer Arbeit im Kinotheater der Stummfilmzeit verhalf, die er benötigte, um seine Familie zu unterstützen und sein Studium am Petrograder Konservatorium zu finanzieren, wo er Klavier, Komposition und Kontrapunkt studierte

The article discusses teaching of differential and integral calculation fundamentals after the reform in the teaching of mathematics (1929–1940) with reference to the textbook of Juozas Stoukus “Basics of Infinite Smallness Analysis” (1925), textbook of Antanas Juška “Basics of Mathematical Analysis” (1934), contemporary curricula of higher schools and articles of mathematicians.LMD L konferencijos darbuose J. We have read D.A.F. de Sade in Pierre Klossowski's Sade mon prochain (1947) and Georges Bataille's La valeur d'usage La valeur d'usage de D.A.F. de Sade, O.C. II, (1929-1940), alongside the preface dedicated to Justine (1958). Based on these texts, we intend to discuss the aspects of a Sadean economy as an operation of shift in literary values, or how decadence can be sustained as a romanesque value as a means to composing an impossible body.Será feita uma leitura de D.A.F. de Sade em Pierre Klossowski, Sade Mon Prochain, 1947, e em Georges Bataille, La valeur d'usage de D.A.F. de Sade, O.C. Donor/Acceptor Heterojunction Organic Solar Cells

The operation and the design of organic solar cells with donor/acceptor heterojunction structure and exciton blocking layer is outlined and results of their initial development and assessment are reported. Under halogen lamp illumination with 100 mW/cm2 incident optical power density, the devices exhibits an open circuit voltage VOC = 0.45 V, a short circuit current density JSC between 2 and 2.5 mA/cm2 with a fill factor FF ≈ 50%, an external quantum efficiency (electrons/s over incident photons/s) EQE ≈ 5% and a power conversion efficiency of about 0.5%. Measurements of the photoelectrical characteristics with time are also reported, confirming that non encapsulated organic solar cells have limited stability in ambient atmosphere

Using the general equilibrium growth model to study great depressions: a reply to Temin

Three of the arguments made by Temin (2008) in his review of Great Depressions of the Twentieth Century are demonstrably wrong: that the treatment of the data in the volume is cursory; that the definition of great depressions is too general and, in particular, groups slow growth experiences in Latin America in the 1980s with far more severe great depressions in Europe in the 1930s; and that the book is an advertisement for the real business cycle methodology. Without these three arguments — which are the results of obvious conceptual and arithmetical errors, including copying the wrong column of data from a source — his review says little more than that he does not think it appropriate to apply our dynamic general equilibrium methodology to the study of great depressions, and he does not like the conclusion that we draw: that a successful model of a great depression needs to be able to account for the effects of government policy on productivity.

A New Athenian Gymnasium from the 4th Century BC?

Schriftquellen belegen, dass das Gymnasium der Athener Akademie vom 6. Jh. v. Chr. bis mindestens zum 2. Jh. n. Chr. benutzt wurde. Der Ort wurde anhand von Texten und einem Horosstein lokalisiert und seit 1929 mehrfach untersucht. Zu den freigelegten Strukturen gehören im Süden ein recht­eckiger Bau mit Hof, der als Palaestra der Akademie gedeutet wurde, und im Norden ein großer quadratischer Peristylbau, der wenig beachtet wurde. Dieser Beitrag revidiert die Identifizierung der beiden Bauten. Es wird gezeigt, dass der Hof des südlichen Baus in die Spätantike gehört und nicht als Palaestra fungiert haben kann. Stattdessen ist der quadratische Bau, dessen Peristyl von Räumen umgeben und der ins 4. Jh. v. Chr. zu datieren ist, anhand von Plan und Inschriften als Palaestra zu identifizieren
