Eco-digital Supply Chains through Blockchains
This paper shows how the implementation of Eco-digital Supply Chain can be realized through the adoption of a Blockchain technology. The focal company pushes suppliers at all tiers through the adoption of green practices for reducing the CO2 emissions and the related costs. Furthermore,
logistics costs involved in the Supply Chain make the final assessment highly challenging. We identify the changes in both the Supply Chain structure and performance occurring when the Blockchain enables the creation of an Eco-digital Supply Chai

From Facets to a Universal Definition â An Analysis of IoT Usage in Retail
The term Internet of Things (IoT) is widely used and discussed. However, there is still no scientifically generally valid definition and therefore no uniform understanding of the term in practice. To counteract this, we present a possibility to limit the term with the help of applications in the IoT environment. Specifically, we analyze the use of IoT along the value chain of companies by conducting a structured literature analysis

Blockchain research, practice and policy: Applications, benefits, limitations, emerging research themes and research agenda
YesThe blockchain has received significant attention from technology focussed researchers, highlighting its perceived impact and emerging disruption potential, but has been slow to engender any significant momentum within the Information Systems (IS) and Information Management (IM) literature. This study approaches the subject through an IS/IM lens developing the key themes from the blockchain based research via a comprehensive review. This analysis of the body of literature highlights that although few commercial grade blockchain applications currently exist, the technology demonstrates significant potential to benefit a number of industry wide use cases. This study expands on this point articulating through each of the key themes to develop a detailed narrative on the numerous potential blockchain applications and future direction of the technology, whilst discussing the many barriers to adoption. The study asserts that blockchain technology has the potential to contribute to a number of the UN Sustainability Development Goals and engender widespread change within a number of established industries and practices
Applying Blockchain Technology to Financial Marketâs Infrastructure
The utilization of blockchain technology has gained widespread acceptance across various domains in recent years. Among them, blockchain integration in the financial sector is particularly noteworthy. Blockchain technology offers a range of features that can address various challenges in the financial industry, including decentralization, transparency, enhanced security, and tamper-proofing. Therefore, this thesis aims to investigate the issues that persist in academia and industry and address them through blockchain technology.
The research for this thesis was divided into three major stages. The first stage involved conducting an academic survey through a comprehensive literature review. The aim was to identify the pain points that academics have identified and to narrow down the problems that concern the academic community.
The second stage involved collecting requirements from industry experts. This helped to identify the real-world issues that currently exist in the financial industry. Based on these issues, the research moved on to the next stage.
The third stage involved an experimental study, further divided into two parts. Part 1 involved designing and developing a blockchain-based issuance and trading system for financial products. This system aimed to enhance participant trust, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Part 2 involved the development of a risk monitoring system for blockchain-based financial products. This system aimed to assist participants in monitoring market risks, providing them with risk warning coefficients, and reducing the probability of systemic risks in the market.
The results of this thesis demonstrate that blockchain technology's feasibility and integration can positively impact financial markets from an experimental perspective. It can be helpful to adopt blockchain technology for financial and FinTech industries
Factors affecting cryptocurrency adoption in digital market of Malaysia
Cryptocurrency plays an important role in today's digital currency environment. Improving cryptocurrency adoption is important for consumers and practitioners, as it improves understanding, enhances behavior, attitude, trust, and increases satisfaction. Though the lack of cryptocurrency adoption is a significant issue that arises in the digital market, cryptocurrency adoption is crucial to the support of technology capability facilitated with appropriate behavioral intention too. Considering the fact, this study intended to investigate the impact of cryptocurrency adoption in the digital market in Malaysia. This empirical study examined the role of trust (TR), social influence (SI), cryptocurrency transaction transparency (CTT), technology awareness (TA), facilitating conditions (FC), performance expectancy (PE), attitude (AT), customer satisfaction on behavioral intention (BI) and cryptocurrency adoption (CA). The study also intended to examine the role of behavioral intention as a mediator in the context of cryptocurrency adoption. In line with the research objectives, systematic random sampling was used in this study. Cross-sectional data were collected using a questionnaire at the cryptocurrency consumer of Malaysia, which produced a total of 349 usable responses. The study employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. Findings o the study revealed that TR, SI, CTT, TA, and FC positively affect CA (dependent variable) through the mediation of behavioral intention (BI) in Malaysia's digital market. On the other hand, PE, AT, and CS negatively affect cryptocurrency adoption in Malaysia's digital market. Future researchers may replicate the study in different countries in a different industry context and integrate similar constructs to broaden the current body of knowledge
