Application of ISO 55000 suite for digital asset management

Master's thesis in Asset ManagementHistorically, physical and financial assets were accepted to be the fundament of personal and corporate wealth and power. It was all about keeping buildings and equipment maintained. The primary goal was to keep production profitable and earning money. However, many factors, such as technological development, environmental awareness, market conditions, human rights, and government regulations raised a need for coordinated and effective asset management practices. Publication of the PAS55 and ISO 55000 suite was the first deliberate steps of the international asset management community towards utilization of coordinated, integrated and not least, internationally accepted asset management practices. ISO 55000 suite became a framework for further development and improvement of the physical asset management practices worldwide. Implementation of asset management practices and application of ISO 55000 suite for physical asset management brought great value to organizations in the form of improved performance, efficiency and effectiveness, risk management, decision making processes and compliance with regulations. Constant aim for competitive advantage in the world accelerated the development of information technology and led to new trends called “digitization” and “digital transformation”. Already in 2007, 94% of the world’s information storage was in digital format. All intangible and intellectual property assets, such as trade secrets are being stored in a digital format. Industrial espionage is not about stealing papers anymore, it is about stealing digital data and information. It is becoming clear that knowledge, competence and intellectual property are becoming the most significant factors for success and competitive advantage. A new type of assets – digital assets are becoming an essential part of every company However, how do organizations manage their digital assets? What kind of framework can be applied for digital asset management? Are digital asset management concepts, frameworks and practices as developed as for physical assets? ISO 55000 (2014, p.1) creators highlight that the standard was predominantly developed for managing physical assets, but it can also be applied to other asset types. In that case, it would be interesting to evaluate the application of ISO 55000 suite for digital asset management. The main aim of this thesis is to the evaluate application of ISO 55000 suite (2014) for digital asset management. Evaluation is done by assessing and mapping the digital asset management practices in Baker Hughes, GE Company (BHGE) against recommendations and requirements of the ISO 55000 suite (2014). The thesis provides an overview of digital asset management practices in BHGE with regards to the requirements of ISO 55001 (2014). As a part of the thesis work, the subjects of asset and digital asset; asset management and digital asset management have been explored by an extensive review of literature and the internet. This thesis has contributed to the understanding of digital asset management topic and research with regards to the application of ISO 55000 suite (2014) for digital asset management. Organizations can, in general, assess the maturity of their digital asset management practices by utilizing the evaluation method described in this thesis

A conceptual framework for describing promotional processes in the worlds of information technology and promotional communication logistics is presented in this paper. It is explained in the study how a coherent DAM system helps to advertise agencies to execute more work with fewer employees by providing speed to market, productivity savings, enhanced agency, and client revenues, secure client branding. Readers will learn how to deal with fundamental challenges such as file-naming criteria, load balancing, and maintaining cultural buy-in inside the organization from reading this article. Grounded on the findings of the review of related literature, the potential benefits of digital asset management in this context are discussed. Abstrak. Perpustakaan merupakan salah satu lembaga yang memegang peranan sangat besar dalam hal penyediaan informasi, terutama terkait dengan keterbukaan informasi publik, literasi informasi, perkembangan pendidikan, serta penyebaran informasi dengan cepat dan tepat bagi masyarakat. Perpustakaan dituntut untuk melakukan perubahan-perubahan kearah yang inovatif, kreatif dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat sesuai dengan yang sudah dijelaskan dalam  UU Nomor 43 Tahun 2007 untuk lebih memperhatikan terkait eksitensi. Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi juga tentunya tidak terlepas dari dukungan teknologi informasi yang dijadikan suatu sarana dalam penyampian informasi bagi dosen atau mahasiswa. Penggunaan Digital Asset Management pada dasarnya memang memungkinkan sebuah perpustakaan mengelola dan mengendalikan pertumbuhan serta penggunaan materi digital yang semakin cepat bertambah, terutama yang berkaitan dengan karya tulis ilmiah dan koleksi perpustakaan yang nantinya di proses dengan komputer untuk dialih mediakan.Kata Kunci : Perpustakaan, Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi, Digital Asset Managemen

Starting from a desired load factor or overload time, based on the initial thermal conditions, the algorithm returns the maximum overload time or load factor that respects the thermal limits of the transformer.Taking into consideration the practices of the institution, with the actual data provided by all the engineering work, some suggestions are made regarding the limitations found in relation to the intended algorithm

Digital asset management for homeowners in the german market : a business idea evaluation of a B2C digital asset management platform

The digital economy is already seen as a sophisticated part of the world’s economy with some industries being more and some being less advanced in terms of digitalization. With the real estate and construction industry seen as one of the less developed industries the idea of this research is to study why there have not been any digitalized management tools for privately owned and used properties. The study examines a structural equation model with different variables having an influence on the benefit added, adoption rate, and if users are willing to recommend the tool. The goal of the master’s thesis is to analyze and evaluate the feasibility of the business idea as well as shed light on if and how consumers are willing to adopt and recommend the product. The analyses show that people are open to try new ways of managing their homes and test if the new method will be useful to them. A digitalized property management tool is perceived as value creating and has a significant impact on the adoption. Homeowners need different factors to establish trust in the relationship with an online tool. People will mostly not recommend such a service to others. It can be concluded that the interest in such a business model is high and worth a try founding a venture. Nevertheless, the digital property management platform needs to be hypothesized and evaluated further through the lean start-up approach to get more practical insights.A economia digital já é vista como uma parte sofisticada da economia mundial, sendo algumas indústrias mais e outras menos avançadas em termos de digitalização. Com a indústria imobiliária e de construção vista como uma das indústrias menos desenvolvidas, a ideia desta investigação é estudar a razão pela qual não houve quaisquer ferramentas de gestão digitalizada de propriedades privadas e usadas. O estudo examina um modelo de equação estrutural com diferentes variáveis com influência no benefício acrescentado, taxa de adopção, e se os utilizadores estão dispostos a recomendar a ferramenta. O objectivo da tese de mestrado é analisar e avaliar a viabilidade da ideia de negócio, bem como esclarecer se e como os consumidores estão dispostos a adoptar e recomendar o produto. As análises mostram que as pessoas estão abertas a experimentar novas formas de gerir as suas casas e a ver se o novo método lhes será útil. Uma ferramenta de gestão digitalizada da propriedade é vista como geradora de valor e tem um impacto significativo na adopção. Os proprietários de habitações precisam de diferentes factores para estabelecer a confiança na relação com uma ferramenta online. A maioria das pessoas não recomendará tal serviço a outros. Pode-se concluir que o interesse em tal modelo de negócio é elevado e vale a pena tentar fundar um empreendimento. No entanto, a plataforma de gestão de propriedade digital precisa de ser hipotética e avaliada através da abordagem "lean start-up" para obter mais conhecimentos práticos

NFT Marketplace

In an increasingly digitized world, the secure management and trade of digital assets have become a pressing issue. This project aims to address this challenge by developing a decentralized application (dApp) that leverages blockchain technology and deep learning models to provide secure and efficient digital asset management, with a focus on NFTs. The dApp includes features such as secure wallet connections, NFT image generation, minting, marketplace, and profile management. The back-end of the dApp is implemented using the Goerli testnet with Solidity-based smart contracts, while IPFS and ReactJS/EtherJS are used for decentralized storage and front-end development, respectively. Additionally, the OpenAI API is integrated to generate unique NFT images based on user input. The project demonstrates the practical application of blockchain technology and deep learning models in developing dApps for secure and decentralized digital asset management.
