    Information and knowledge are essential drivers of innovations, technological development, and transformations that foster organizations’ competitiveness and constantly change the way people communicate, interact, and work. To hold information and knowledge means the possibility of expanding capacities and ensuring access to opportunities that may bring competitive advantage and economic growth. Considering these assumptions, the purpose of this study was to demonstrate how inventive actions can be collected and correlated as a source of information and knowledge for a given subject. In order to do so, we established as research elements the following topics: mobile information technologies, mobile communication, and management, and we looked for them, in a correlated way, in patent databases. This is a descriptive qualitative study, with secondary data collection in patent bases such as the websites Espacenet.com, Wipo.com and Patent2Net, which provide information on patents’ registrations. We used the Gephi software for analysis and visualization of network structures. Through the use of specific filters,  considering the three topics together, the results showed 213 patents filed in the period 1988–2015, and a concentration of records between 2012 and 2013, when 32% of them were registered. In addition, China was responsible for 40% of patent applications, followed by South Korea, with 24%, and the United States and Japan, both with nearly 11% of the total

    The purpose of this research was to investigate how the project’s management skills influence project’s manager employability. To achieve the goal, a survey was conducted with 48 project managers in the information technology (IT) area of an international origin bank. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical technique, statistical inference and mode - central tendency measure. The results showed difficulties in managing costs, risks and resources, and gaps to manage conflicts, delegate tasks or knowing the company's strategy. Despite this, a high degree of employability was identified, mainly ensured by networking and qualification.Este estudo investigou como as competĂȘncias em gestĂŁo de projetos impactam a empregabilidade do gerente de projetos. Para tanto foi realizada uma pesquisa survey com 48 gerentes de projetos atuantes na ĂĄrea de tecnologia da informação (TI) de uma instituição bancĂĄria de origem internacional. Os dados foram analisados por meio de tĂ©cnica estatĂ­stica descritiva, inferĂȘncia estatĂ­stica e a moda - medida de tendĂȘncia central. Os resultados evidenciaram dificuldades no gerenciamento de custos, de riscos e de recursos, alĂ©m de lacunas em habilidades para gerenciar bem os conflitos, delegar tarefas ou ter conhecimento da estratĂ©gia da empresa. Apesar disso, foi identificado alto grau de empregabilidade, garantido principalmente por rede de contatos e qualificação

    Business Model as an Inducer of Disruptive Innovations: The Case of Gol Airlines

    This study was undertaken to investigate the premises that the success of disruptive innovation is related to the business model adopted by organizations. An analysis of five business models from the literature review - Bovet and Martha (2000), Applegate (2001), Chesbrough and Rosenbloom (2002), Osterwalder and Pigneur (2010), and Rodrigues, Maccari and Lenzi (2012) – was conducted based on the case of the Brazilian Gol Airlines who is recognized as a success business that promoted a disruptive innovation. The results suggest that the assertive choice of the business model can leverage innovation processes, and two of the models listed are adherence to the case studied
