    A GIS-based Waste Water Monitoring System Using LoRa Technology

    Industrial waste is one of the causes of water pollution. Such waste requires periodic and continuous surveillance so that it can be followed up for specific treatments. This research develops LoRa (Long Range) technology for monitoring waste water based on geographic information system. Sensors used in this research are turbidity, pH, and temperature sensors. The result of this research is a system capable of displaying and mapping the conditions of waste water under surveillance. Alerts are generated when the quality of waste water reaches a threshold value set to the owner of the factory. The accuracy of the turbidity sensor under test is 93.42%

    Allelopathy Effect of the Blue Diatom HasleaOstrearia (Gaillon) Simonsen: Growth Inhibition in Aquaculture Relevant Microalgae

    We are well known that the marine pennate diatom Hasleaostrearia (Gaillon) Simonsen produces the blue-green pigment called marennine. Marennine was identified as a polyphenolic compound. This compound is capable to inhibit the growth of herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and several bacteria, including pathogens as Vibrio sp. The aim of this study was to determine how strong the allelophatic effect of marennine is generated byH. ostrearia and identifying its minimal concentration that inhibits the growth of other microalgae. The experiment consisted of two phases of research activities. The first phase was biovolumecomparaison between H. ostrearia and microalgae suitable for aquaculture tested to take into account the differences in size of the microalgae tested(Tetraselmissuecica, Chaetocerosgracilis, Skeletonemacostatum, PavlovalutheriandIsochrysisgalbana (T-Iso) in term of H. ostrearia biomass and production of marennine. The second phase was the bioactivity tests, which is include growth kinetics, allelophatic effects and concentration of marennine in the culture medium, measured with spectrophotometer. The results of this study showed that H. ostrearia could inhibit several species of microalgae currently used in aquaculture (T. suecica, C. gracilis and S. costatum). The statistical analysis (One way ANOVA) showed that there are significant differences (P < 0, 05) between treatments andwhen co-cultured with H. ostrearia, these microalgae exhibited a significant growth inhibition. The highest inhibition value was 97.77% (on the treatementH. ostrearia+C. gracilis). In this treatment, the concentration of marennine in the culture was 5.35 mg L-1. According to the results, we can conclude that the supernatant of H. ostrearia with marennine acts as an allelochemical. The minimal concentration is 0.23 mg L-1 and the highest is 5.35 mg L-1. The treatments H. ostreariawithP. lutheri and T-Iso did not performed any inhibition

    Technical analysis for stock market with its technical indicators is helpful for traders/investors to predict correct timings either for buying or selling stocks. Trading strategy can be realized with the use of selected trading indicators to know when accumulation or distribution of stocks occurs. This paper proposes trading strategies employing Bollinger Bands and Parabolic SAR indicators. A web-based application is developed to help testing the performance of the proposed strategies. Historical end-of-day (EOD) stock price for a sufficient period of time was used to back-test the proposed strategy performance. Several stocks from LQ-45 were selected to represent up-, down-, and sideway-trends. The results of the research are: the best strategy for an up-trending stock contributes to 17.06% profit and 1.19% for sideway market trend. Whilst when in down-trend, strategy #4 can minimize loss up to 2.62% than the only Bollinger Bands strategy

    ISOLASI DAN SKRINING AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI DARI BAKTERI SIMBION NUDIBRANCHIA Phyllidiella pustulosa dan Thuridilla lineolata

    Nudibranchs are marine invetebrates belongs to the class of Gastropoda that are able to camouflage and develop a self-defense systems. Marine bacteria contain chemicals compunds that have potentials on marine drugs discovery through the secondary metabolism. The purpose of this study was to isolate the symbiotic bacteria from nudibranches Phylidiella pustulosa and Thuridilla lineolate and to screen the antibacterial activity of these bacterial isolates against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Isolation and culture of the symbiotic bacteria was made on B1 (solid) media. The results of the antibacterial assay showed that the symbiotic bacterial isolates from Phylidiella pustulosa and Thuridilla lineolate were able to inhibit the growth of the Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli test. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengisolasi bakteri yang bersimbion dengan nudibranch Phylidiella pustulosa dan Thuridilla lineolate, kemudian mengamati aktivitas antibakteri dari isolat bakteri tersebut terhadap Escherichia coli danStaphylococcus aureus. Isolasi dan kultur bakteri yang bersimbion dibuat pada media B1 (padat). Skrining aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan isolat bakteri yang bersimbion dengan nudibranch Phylidiella pustulosa dan Thuridilla lineolate mampu menghambat pertumbuhan organisme uji Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli.     Cardiovascular disease is a disease that is affected by the heart and blood vessels. There are several main risk factors that cause cardiovascular disease. Risk factors for cardiovascular disease include: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, being overweight or obese, age, sex, smoking, and alcohol. The more risk factors you have, the greater the chance of causing cardiovascular disease. In this research, it was developed using the Spearman, Pearson and Kendall correlation methods to analyze data on cardiovascular disease patients. The results showed there was correlation between blood pressure (ap_hi and ap_lo), age, and cholesterol had a strong relationship with cardiovascular disease. Glucose and cholesterol levels also have a strong relationship between one another

    Human population produces a fairly high waste every year. In Pemalang District there is only one final disposal site which is at Pegongsoran Village. A decision support system is needed that is expected to provide alternative options for determining the best landfill location other than such a site. In selecting the location of the Final Disposal Site, a method that can process data from each available alternative is needed. (TOPSIS) Technique For Order Preference By Similarity To Ideal Solution is one of the various Decision Support System methods. TOPSIS is a multi-criteria method for identifying limited alternative sets based on minimizing the distance of the farthest ideal point and maximizing the distance of the lowest ideal point. Based on the calculation using the TOPSIS method, the available data is fourteen districts as an alternative location choice and seven parameters have been found that Warungpring District has the highest rank and Pulosari District has the lowest rank. Then the results of these calculations will be visualized using Carto Map on an information system

The process of choosing landfill location is one of the important aspects and many things to be aware of. To get an objective and accurate decision is now required the processing of computerized data with modern methods using a decision support system. The method used in this system is the Analytic Network Process or abbreviated ANP. This method will be implemented on the data processing to determine the best end disposal area in a region and will be displayed visually using the map Carto. With the existence of this system will give results of ranking and overview of the best area to be built a landfill in the area. The system is built using the PHP programming language and SQL database
