    Pengukuran dan gangguan medan magnet arus terus dan arus ulang-alik memerlukan penderia medan magnet yang mempunyai kepekaan yang tinggi dan stabil. Untuk menghasilkan penderia tersebut, ciri-ciri bahan magnet yang baik telah dikenalpasti. Beberapa jenis bahan magnet yang berbeza telah digunakan untuk mengkaji ciri-ciri dan kesannya terhadap medan magnet. Teras gelang yang diperbuat daripada bahan-bahan magnet tersebut direkabentuk dengan dimensi yang sama bagi membolehkan perbandingan dibuat dengan mudah. Selain itu, rod tunggal dan berkembar juga telah digunakan sebagai teras penderia fluxgate, untuk melihat prestasi setiap jenis penderia tersebut. Kedua-dua penderia tersebut telah diuji dengan menggunakan dua sumber bahan magnet iaitu bar magnet tetap dan solenoid dengan diameter dawai yang berbeza. Isyarat keluaran bagi setiap penderia fluxgate seterusnya diproses bagi mengenalpasti hubungannya dengan ketumpatan medan magnet

    Single side damage simulations and detection in beam-like structures

    Beam-like structures are the most common components in real engineering, while single side damage is often encountered. In this study, a numerical analysis of single side damage in a free-free beam is analysed with three different finite element models; namely solid, shell and beam models for demonstrating their performance in simulating real structures. Similar to experiment, damage is introduced into one side of the beam, and natural frequencies are extracted from the simulations and compared with experimental and analytical results. Mode shapes are also analysed with modal assurance criterion. The results from simulations reveal a good performance of the three models in extracting natural frequencies, and solid model performs better than shell while shell model performs better than beam model under intact state. For damaged states, the natural frequencies captured from solid model show more sensitivity to damage severity than shell model and shell model performs similar to the beam model in distinguishing damage.     This research provides an analysis of the relationship between preliminary estimate, tender sum and final account of building projects with a view to predicting final account accurately from tender sum and preliminary estimate. To achieve the objectives, the study carried out extensive review of literature and collected data  interviews and administration of structured questionnaires. The data collected were analysed using multiple regression, correlation matrix and frequency distribution. The research reveals that there is a significant relationship between preliminary estimate, tender sum and final account of building projects. This research work has contributed to the existing body of knowledge in that it would help to provide reliable estimate for budgeting purposes.     Perkembangan teknologi maklumat dalam dunia pendidikan tidak lagi boleh dinafikan pada masa kini. Keperluan yang meningkat dalam sistem pembelajaran dan pengajaran memerlukan mereka yang terlibat memberi sepenuh tumpuan terhadap mata pelajaran bagi mencapai matlamat. Untuk tujuan ini Modul Pembelajaran Lukisan Kejuruteraan berbantukan Komputer dihasilkan bagi membantu memudahkan pelajar dalam mata pelajaran Lukisan kejuruteraan. Statistik deskriptif digunakan dalam mengumpul dan menganalisis data. Secara keseluruhannya dari hasil kajian, menunjukkan para pelajar memberikan maklum balas yang positif terhadap modul ini. Semua responden memberi tindak balas positif terhadap modul dari segi mesra pengguna, isi kandungan, motivasi dan daya kognitif. Hasil dari kajian ini, didapati bahawa kebanyakan pelajar berminat terhadap Modul Pembelajaran Lukisan Kejuruteraan Berbantukan Komputer.     Development of Improved Drainage System for Storm Water flow at Isale koko Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria

    Among areas prone to flood disaster yearly in Ilorin is Isale koko.  The study involved the reconnaissance survey to ascertain the current capacity of the existing drainage in the flood disaster prone area of Isale Koko, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The dimension of the drainage network of the area was taken at eight (8) various points and the average area of the drainage was obtained to be 0.44m². The already existing drainage in the area was divided into 3 sections for easy computations of flow value, length, depth and width. The rainfall intensity for the study area was found to be 98.49mm/hr. The rational method and Manning’s equation were used for the surface runoff and the proposed drainage respectively. The peak flow of the area and maximum flow velocity in the drains were determined to be 48.46mᶟ/s and 2.21mᶟ/s respectively. The best hydraulic section method was employed to obtain new drainage dimensions for both rectangular and trapezoidal channels. The new designed rectangular channel had dimensions of 1.16m × 0.812m while the trapezoidal channel had dimensions of 1.43m×0.72m×0.87m. The area of both channels was obtained to be 0.67m². A comparative analysis was carried against the average area of the pre-existing drainage that showed a 53.3% increase in drainage area; proving that the current drainage infrastructure of the area is grossly inadequate.     Međudjelovanje četiri-razinskog atoma u impulsnom svojstvenom stanju s jednomodnim poljem

    We study the interaction between a four-level atom (ladder type) in a momentum eigenstate with a single mode cavity field in the presence of non-linearities of both the field and the intensity-dependent coupling. The constants of motion and the wave function for the atomic system have been obtained. Special attention is given to discuss some statistical aspects of the considered atomic system such as momentum increment, momentum diffusion and high-order squeezing. The influence of the Kerr-like medium and the intensity dependent coupling on the momentum increment and the high-order squeezing are investigated numerically. It is found that addition of these parameters has an important effect on both the momentum increment and the squeezing phenomenon.Proučavamo međudjelovanje četiri-razinskog atoma (poput ljestvi) u impulsnom svojstvenom stanju s jednomodnim poljem u rezonatoru, uz nelinearnosti polja i vezanja ovisnog o intenzitetu. Izveli smo stalnice gibanja valne funkcije atomskog sustava. Posebnu smo pažnju posvetili raspravi o statističkim odlikama razmatranog atomskog sustava, kao što su povećanje i difuzija impulsa i zbijanje višeg reda. Numerički smo istražili utjecaj Kerrovog sredstva i vezanja ovisnog o intenzitetu na povećanje impulsa i zbijanje višeg reda. Našli smo da dodavanje tih parametara ima snažan učinak na povećanje impulsa i pojavu zbijanja

    Efficient Gated Convolutional Recurrent Neural Networks for Real-Time Speech Enhancement

    Deep learning (DL) networks have grown into powerful alternatives for speech enhancement and have achieved excellent results by improving speech quality, intelligibility, and background noise suppression. Due to high computational load, most of the DL models for speech enhancement are difficult to implement for realtime processing. It is challenging to formulate resource efficient and compact networks. In order to address this problem, we propose a resource efficient convolutional recurrent network to learn the complex ratio mask for real-time speech enhancement. Convolutional encoder-decoder and gated recurrent units (GRUs) are integrated into the Convolutional recurrent network architecture, thereby formulating a causal system appropriate for real-time speech processing. Parallel GRU grouping and efficient skipped connection techniques are engaged to achieve a compact network. In the proposed network, the causal encoder-decoder is composed of five convolutional (Conv2D) and deconvolutional (Deconv2D) layers. Leaky linear rectified unit (ReLU) is applied to all layers apart from the output layer where softplus activation to confine the network output to positive is utilized. Furthermore, batch normalization is adopted after every convolution (or deconvolution) and prior to activation. In the proposed network, different noise types and speakers can be used in training and testing. With the LibriSpeech dataset, the experiments show that the proposed real-time approach leads to improved objective perceptual quality and intelligibility with much fewer trainable parameters than existing LSTM and GRU models. The proposed model obtained an average of 83.53% STOI scores and 2.52 PESQ scores, respectively. The quality and intelligibility are improved by 31.61% and 17.18% respectively over noisy speech

    Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang sikap petani terhadap penerapan teknologi budidaya kedelai di lahan pasang surut dengan tujuan mengetahui sikap petani terhadap penerapan teknologi budidaya kedelai di lahan pasang surut danmengetahui hubungan sikap petani terhadap penerapan teknologi budidaya kedelai di lahan pasang surut. Tinggi rendahnya USAhatani kedelai ini dipengaruhi oleh sikap petani itu sendiri yang didalamnya terdiri dari afektif, kognitif dan konatif. Komponen kognitif berisi kepercayaan seseorang mengenai apa yang berlaku atau apa yang benar bagi objek sikap, komponen afektif menyangkut masalah emosional subjektif seseorang terhadap suatu objek sikap dan komponen konatif menunjukkan bagaimana prilaku atau kecenderungan berprilaku yang ada dalam diri seseorang berkaitan dengan sikap yang dihadapinya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 29 April sampai 29 Mei 2013 di Kelurahan Simpang Kecamatan Berbak Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur.Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini terdiri dari data primer dan data skunder. Untuk memperoleh data yang lebih mendalam dilakukan wawancara dengan bantuan kuisioner dengan pemberian score pada setiap pertanyaan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan data bahwa sikap petani yang terdiri dari aspek kognitif, afektif dan konatif terhadap penerapan tekonologi budidaya kedelai di lahan pasang surut tergolong tinggi dengan kesimpulan bahwa konsep sikap dan penerapan teknologi di daerah penelitian terlaksana dengan baik

    The purpose of this research is to determine the condition of peer students FKIP Untan Economic Education, To know the student lifestyle FKIP Untan Economic Education, to know how big the influence of peers on student lifestyle FKIP Untan Economic Education. This research uses descriptive method, the sample in this study was 60 students. Data collection techniques used are direct communication technique, indirect communication techniques and documentary study technique, while the data collection tool using interview guides, questionnaires and paperwork documentation. Of data processing through product moment correlation calculation peers on lifestyle shows r count is greater than the table r 0.362 0.254.
