Pandu Roga was well known to Indian people science since Vedic Period. It is described in full length by all the Acharyas of Ayurveda as a specific disease with its own Pathogenesis and treatment. In Panduroga change the color of the body like pallor of skin, sclera, nail, tongue etc. due to Rakta-alpata means Hemoglobin level decrease than the normal level. It is related with both important Dhatu Rasa and Rakta. We can correlate this disease to Anaemia in modern science. Anaemia is the world’s second leading cause of disability and is responsible for about 1 million deaths a year. It is therefore important for Ayurvedic scholar to search scientific reason behind the disease. With this research interest the present study has been undertaken thoroughly review of Panduroga. Three general principles of treatment have been mentioned in Charaka Samhita. They are Daivavyapashraya, Yuktivyapashraya and Satvawajya. Here only Yuktivyapashraya Chikitsa has been mentioned. Single drugs which have been used in Pandu are - Lauha Bhasma, Mandura Bhasma, Pure Kaseesa, Shilajita, Vardhamana Pippali etc. Compound drugs which are of vegetable origin e.g. Triphala, Phalatrikadi Kwatha, Punarnavashtaka Kwatha, Vidangavaleha etc. Here also made some efforts to discuss every aspect of Panduroga in Ayurvedic point of view

Ayurveda has emphasized on the quality of life along with its longevity. The Acharyas have categorized the stages of life into various forms. Balyaavastha (childhood) is one such phase of life that differs in the Ahara (diet), Vihara (lifestyle) and Aushadhi (medicines) than the other phases. The treatment modalities also differ in this phase. The synonyms of Bheshaja (medicine) have been defined by Acharya Charaka as Chikitsitam (treatment), Vyadhiharam (disease removal), Pathyam (wholesome agents) Sadhanam (modes of treatment), Aushadham (drugs), Prayashchitam (corrective measures), Prashamanam (alleviation), Prakritisthapanam (restoration) and Hitam (beneficial). Each term has its own that defines every aspect of treatment. The underlying theme of treatment in Balaroga can be understood by the proper understanding of the implications of the term Bheshaja. The variations of treatment according to the various stages of the diseases can be understood by these terms. This paper aims at discussing the principles of treatment in Balaroga from Ayurveda perspective. The treatment of various diseases of children deal with the same underlying basic principle as adults but the only difference is a slight shift of thought in it. The paper aims at highlighting the treatment principles in Balaroga. For this purpose, the literature was reviewed from the internet, and the Ayurveda classics along with their commentaries. The complexities of treatment in Balaroga are highlighted on the basis of this definition of the term Bheshaja

Objective: The Areca catechu L. is a tropical fruit, which is also called betel nut and is widely distributed in different parts of the world. Areca catechu L is used for various treatment aliments in the form of various preparations especially in powdered form and it used extensively in Ayurveda to treat Mukhavikara, Aruchi, Yonishaithilya, Shvetapradara etc. Areca nut is commonly used as betel nut or supari, as it is often chewed wrapped in betel leaves (Paan). The aim is to assessment of Mahabhautika dominance in Pugaphala by pharmacognostical and pharmaceutical study. Methods: Microscopic, macroscopic study and phsico-chemical analysis of Pugaphala Churna. Results: In present study Pugaphala was selected as a Parthiva dominant drug according to its Rasa Panchaka, after that its Mahabhautika dominancy was assessed by pharmacognostical and pharmaceutical study and results also support that in Pharmaceutical study loss on drying is 4.4%w/w, in Pharmacognostical study Rhomboidal crystal, Lignified scleroid etc. were found these characters also showed that Pugaphala is having dominancy of Prithvi Mahabhuta. Conclusion: Prithvi dominancy in Pugaphala is scientifically assessed by Pharmacognostical and Pharmaceutical study

A surge in laboratory research into the pharmacological properties of bioactive compounds, as well as their potential to cure a wide range of ailments, has resulted in an influx of new herbal medications and extracts onto the international market in recent years. D. gangaticum (L.) (DG), one of the essential herbs of Indian traditional system of medicines is part of many essential formulations viz. "Dashamoola" and is used to treat various diseases. It is a perennial herb, locally known as "Shalparni" (Hindi) in India and also reported in many other tropical countries. This review presents the traditional uses, phytochemistry, pharmacology, and clinical effectiveness of D. gangaticum Literature was systematically searched through various databases, journals and gray literature through electronic and manual search. Collected data was further critically reviewed and summarized in this paper. It contains many bio-active phytochemicals viz. gangeticoside, leonuriside A, tortoside A, dehydrosoyasaponin, gangetin, gangetinin, desmocarpin, desmodin etc. among them, some have drug likeliness properties. Critical literature analysis revealed that it possessed many pharmacological activities viz. anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive, anti- oxidant, cardioprotective, antidiabetic and hepatoprotective anti- bacterial, and anti-amnesic activities. Despite a large number of traditional therapeutic uses, D. gangaticum was evaluated for limited therapeutic efficacy through clinical trials and evidence suggested it may have therapeutic benefits on bronchitis, gout, hypertension. The biochemical and physiological mechanisms involved in the different biological effects exhibited by it need to be investigated. The herb should be investigated further, focusing on pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetic and safety profiles. Well-designed Randomized Controlled trials (RCTs) should be conducted to support its therapeutic use

The classification of Dravya has been undertaken in many ways, but according to the medicinal value, they are mainly divided into two - Bheshaja and Abheshaja. No study has been documented on Abheshaja to date as per the scholar's knowledge. Therefore, the present study was carried out to understand the concept of Abheshaja by a practical study. The drug Pippali (Piper Longum Linn.) has been contraindicated to be used for a longer duration. A clinical study was carried out on patients with Kaphaja Kasa, to evolve and assess if the drug acts as Abheshaja or not, and if yes, then under what circumstances. The patients of Kaphaja Kasa had been selected by the random sampling method. They were randomly divided into two groups - Group A and Group B. In Group A, test drug Pippali Churna was administered. Group B was a standard control group and Vasa Churna was given to this group. The dose of both the drugs was 4 g B.I.D. The result was assessed after three weeks of drug administration with the help of a specially prepared proforma. All the important hematological, biochemical, urine, and stool investigations were carried out. There was no adverse drug reaction (ADR) observed after the administration of Pippali in this particular study
